Thanks everyone! I missing the flower shot in my list of photos. I tried to get a flower shot, but there wasn't a single flower in the store! Well, they did have these huge bouquets of fake flowers, and there wasn't a way to get only one flower out.

Oh wells, I'll make sure to get a flower shot when the ring is complete.

I don't know if there were any updates on the setting.

I'm trying not ask any questions or even mention the ring at all! Since I have no idea when it'll be ready, I'll have no idea when he'll propose.

He did a small fake proposal on Sunday (my birthday), which was just his way of teasing me since he knows how hard I'm trying not to think about it. And the night before that, we were on our way home from my birthday party and he started saying these extrememly sweet things to me and I was thinking.....hrm....can't be proposal yet, I don't even *think* the ring is ready...but you never know.... Anyway, it was just very nice to hear all those things he said.

I'm wondering how many more times is he going to do that to me before the real thing? Aiya, I hope not too many. Everytime he starts with something like that, it gets my heart racing!

LOL! Totally easy for you to say! You already got your gorgeous bling on your finger! Has the new-ring-staring phase slowed down yet? Or is it still as strong as ever?

The anticipation is horrible! but kinda fun at the same time!

I love the butterfly feeling I get whenever I think it's it. I think I'll keep getting that way and then BAM! It'll happen when I least expect it. That's probably what happens to most people right?

I've been thinking about getting a manicure done, just in case....

but I'm not a manicure gettting type. I love pedicures though! Pedicures are so addicting.

Maybe I'll just wait until I actually have the ring on my finger before I get a manicure. I can sit and stare at it while I'm getting my nails done. Fun! Ahhhhh!!!!!!!!!! I can't stop thinking about it now! And I've been pretty good over the last several days.

What a gorgeous stone, and a gorgeous little girl. The stone looks huge anyway, but that shot with it on Alyssa''s hand....HOLY crap! Why can''t I have teeny tiny hands..!!! She is so funny not wanting to give it back. Good girl!!! When I have one I''m going to train her from the get go. She''s going to have little baby diamond stud earrings as soon as possible.

Baby diamond stud earrings....that's a good idea. I had my studs on the other day and Alyssa kept playing with them. She kept pointing to my earrings and then touching her own ear lobe which had nothing on it. Hee...maybe when she turns 3 next year, I'll get her a tiny pair. A little bling for my little girl. Yummo!

Alyssa actually has silver bangles on her left wrist and left ankle. Both of the bangles have 2 silver bells on it, so we can hear her walking around the house. If you look at my avatar you can see the silver bangle on her wrist. My mom got those for her when she was a newborn. They're adjustable, so we can make it larger as she grows.

Yes the anticipation is fun, but driving me crazy too! Nothing like this feeling though. As time goes on, I keep wondering....when will it happen?

Sam and I are planning a trip to Vegas and Carmel (his idea) on the week of Labor day. Now that got me thinking.....is it going to happen on the trip?

I guess we''ll have to see. We might or might not be going to Carmel, but Vegas is for sure. We''re staying at the Bellagio. I''ve never stayed there before, so I''m really looking forward to it, since everyone tells me how wonderful it is there. If we do go Carmel, we''ll be going on the weekend of Labor day and then going to Vegas the day after Labor day.

I''ll keep you guys posted...

Yeah, I have to say that although I was really anxious to get my ring, I kind of enjoyed the suspense of the process too. It''s really quite something wonderful to look forward to.

And even better if Sam is faking you out--then you get to hear how much he loves you time & time again! What could be better than that? (other than having your gorgeous diamond on your finger!

Bright, I feel the same way about the manicure thing. I don''t want to jinx myself! LOL. I can''t believe you haven''t been to Vegas! You have to go! It''s such a beautiful and IMO romantic too (if it''s only you and your FI, not with friends though, then it becomes party city!!). I love going to Vegas! The delicious food, scenery, bright lights, crazy people, and the vibe is fabulous! You must go! You''ll love it.

I agree with the anticipation. It is so nice to have something so so so wonderful to look forward to. And I love to hear him say all that mushy stuff. Music to my ears.

your diamond is just STUNNING - it''s fabulous ! I laughed (happily) at all the pics. I went bananas taking photos when I first saw my stone. Try looking at it with a flashlight in a darkened room (talk of sparks !!!!) and just wait until you have your hand on the steering wheel with that baby on your finger - you''ll have to REALLY concentrate on your driving; believe me !

Alyssa is DARLING - you could (as they say at home) eat her without salt !

I really think Vegas might be "it" - I''m so excited for you. I think I''m going to be in Ireland, I''ll be dying to hear when I get back. I don''t think I''ll have a minute to check PS while I''m there.

I just LOVE PS - all the stories are so great !!!!

I know I will be like that! When my cousing got her H&A for their 10 year anniversary, she had a hard time concentrating on the road too. I did have one diamond dream a while back. In my dream, the ring did not turn out the way I expected it to be. Got me all freaked out when I woke up!

I''m actually doing a pretty good job on containing my excitement by filling up my thoughts with other things. Surprisingly I''m not going CRAZY over this....hee. I think I was more excited and going crazy when I read your "My bf gets my ring today!" thread. I''m really shocked at myself for being so calm. I am trying very hard to stay calm.

Okay, now I''m getting all flustered because I''m talking about it! Have to try to contain myself and not get overly excited.

I will definitely take pics of my new little darling and miracle of miracles I''ve been working on my pics (I uploaded them but I have been putting them in album slideshows so they are like mini-movies !) and soon I will have them ready for viewing ! hoorah !!!

I have been to Vegas but I didn''t like it.

I have a lot of respiratory issues with allergies and asthma and I found that inside the casinos the air KILLED me. I have been told they use oxygenated air to keep folk awake and there''s also so much cleaning done and stuff - I just died, couldn''t breathe, couldn''t stop sneezing, eyes itchy red raw in my head. Not fun. Outside it was 104F and humid. Not fun either. I may go again one day, you never know.

HOWEVER, I do have two great wedding stories from Vegas. My best pal got married there on her birthday and then (two years later) had a church wedding in Ireland (it was more a blessing than a full ceremony as they were already married). She came here as a student just for the summer (years ago) and I hired her to her first job. She met her now-hubby who was older and had a son and I remember she came to work and was talking about him and was being hesitant and dubious about pursuing it and (as she was due to fly home three weeks later) I said " sure, it''s not like you''re going to marry him !!"

HEHE !

and then she did just that ! you just never know !

also, I have a friend from Scotland who married his gf (who is English) in a drive-through in Vegas. they did it with his Mum in the backseat !!! his Mum is older and was visiting and they were taking her around (they were living in Colorado at the time) and decided to go to Vegas - got all caught up in the whole thing and did the drive through wedding - with MUM in the backseat !!! I thought it was just priceless !

so those are my Vegas stories ...........

I think you should go ahead and get the manicure anyway. It''s always nice to have beautiful nails. I gave myself a mini manicure today. I bought that Sally Hansen stronger nail clear polish and also used cuticle creme. I have really really weak nails. That''s why I''m thinking about getting acrylic again, but it''s such a hassle to run to the salon every two weeks, so I probably won''t go back to it. I hope this Sally Hansen stuff works!

Milly- I have really weak nails normally too, but I''ve been using OPI Nail Envy religiously and it has made a huge difference! My nails are much harder now, so if I get a manicure now I won''t have to worry about getting chips within a few days. I think I''ve heard good things about the Sally Hansen stuff too though.

And YAY for our impending engagements! I love the LIW so much- it''s so fun to get excited for everyone else too!

Hey ginger!

My setting is going to be a plain platinum 4 claw setting with 16 one point diamonds set in pave around the basket. The claws split into 2 claws,so it''ll look like it have 8 claws from the top view. The wedding band is made to sit flush with the e-ring. The wedding band will also be pave with 18 four point diamonds, so the stones will go about 2/3 of the way around. The e-ring will be 2.5 mm and the w-band will be 3mm(have to be because of the four pointers).

I don''t even know if the ring will be ready before the trip. I am so anxious to find out! My friends were telling me they think it might happen on the trip too. Wouldn''t it be fun to enjoy my sparkly under the beautiful Vegas lights??!!

Well, either way I''ll have a ton of fun cuz after all it''s Vegas!!!

Heh--I had the exact same dream while I was waiting for the ring too!
