Eewww, I like Matte finish too. Shows less scuffs so it requires less work to keep looking nice if people just happen to drop in unannounced! That will be much easier for you guys with 2 adults, tho!!

You sure you aren't in the wrong business?? Maybe you should go into decor and wedding consulting!!

I second the wedding consulting business Mara. You'd be excellent! Or become a jewelry appraiser. I'd come to you in a heartbeat. Just hop on 880 to 101 to SJ. forget the 24 to walnut creek.

Hee Hee thanks guys....I did start the GIA courses...maybe I should take that up again.

Actually if I could choose to do something related to the industry, I'd choose appraisals like Nancy in WC...playing with other people's baubles and getting paid for it sounds like my idea of fun.

Plus as we well know, there is a serious shortage of ind. appraisers in the BayArea, which is so hard for me to believe!

As for wedding planning, etc...I'm in eCommerce now, but I started out in basic Marketing and my first job was Events & Database Marketing. So I've got the event planning background. It was fun and it really made me extremely detail oriented. One of my girlfriends was a co-worker back then...and she and I still talk sometimes about possibly starting our own event company that would do all types of private events...weddings included. So you never know.

Oh and aneel on the BayArea housing tip...I read a local article the other day that noted that demand for 2004 is estimated to outstrip supply in this area & they think that this year will be a huge buyers market. Should make for some interesting pricing this year. Quite intriguing and good article to show Greg--'positive house affirmation'. Also, in that same article it had comparison year over year pricing, and for our new house area, between Dec 2002 and Dec 2003 (1 year time period), in our zip code, housing values rose 30%. Woo hoo. Now if only it will stay that way.

It's lovely, Raphne.

You and the G-man will have happy times there.

Those bathrooms are incredible. We have a painted bathroom like that (though 1/16th of the size!) and I don't know how others do it, but there are *always* water marks on the paint above the pedestal sink.

I'm glad you got the Spanish tile. Shiny marble looks nice but I'm a complete klutz and I know I'd end up scratching or staining something as porous as marble.
