The biggest is 8 days old, the other is 5 days old.

I'll try to post new pics weekly so you can see their changes. Hope you'll enjoy "watching" them grow.

Oh some feathered friends!! What are they?

What kind of birds are they???

They''re cockatiels. This is their 3rd set of babies since we''ve had them.

OOOoo Cockatiels.
Pretty birdies.
I grew up with a very tame bright yellow parakeet - I love birds.
They are surprisingly, wonderful pets.

Are you a breeder? Are they going to be your pets?

Scintillating...

Oh how fun, I have a cockatiel too. Her name is Khackie, she's 8 years old. And has the same coloring of your birds, right down to the cheeks!!! Must be amazing to see them grow etc..

Cockatiels! What cute little babies!!!

Oh adorable! I have a cockatiel too, named Dora. They are such great birds. Is it late in the season for them to have babies? I thought they tended to nest in the spring?

You''ll have to post the photos to show how fast they grow. So cute!

How sweet!! And, the parents are beautiful! Please post growing-up pics as they get more color....that would be fun to see.

When we were given mom and dad, we were planning on breeding and selling them. BUT....when the 1st ones were born, David couldn''t bear to give them up. Neither could I. We thought we''d be able to sell the 2nd ones....but again, we fell for the little ones. I''m not even thinking about trying to get rid of these. I know it will never happen....lol

It is fun to watch them grow. They grow up so fast. Did you get Khackie when she was little?

If it''s late in the season, tell that to mom and dad...lol. Everytime they start....ummm...."having fun", I give them a box. How long have you had Dora?

I think she was about 6 months old?? Got her from Petco, they said she was hand raised. She''s such a cuddle bug. We adore her.

I have had her since 1997. I tried to take her picture to post here, but I just found out how much she does *not* like the camera! I''ll try again and see if she does better.

I thought about breeding Indian ringnecks, but I knew that no one would ever be good enuf to buy my babies

My husband is not so sentimental - he said he would happily sell them for me. But I couldn''t face it, I just know I would worry about them for infinity.

How wonderful! PLEASE post more pictures as they grow....

LOL...well Mom and Dad are sure cute...but those babies.....well....can I just say they have potential?

We raised our little african grey, Killer from a baby as well. We bought him from a breeder but we hand fed with the syringe and everything! We also had a bit of a "Finch Farm" at one time, the parents kept having more babies! We eventually had to get rid of them, after all, a family of finches, an african grey, AND a mini macaw was too much noise! I LOVE baby birds, they are just too cute for words!

David is such a softie when it comes to animals. In fact, if I don''t meet him outside when he comes home, I have to wait for him to say hello to the goldfish in the pond outside, Boo (our outside dog), Comet )cat), Oscar (the fish), Wiggie (chihuahua), and the birds. lol....it takes 10 mins.

I understand about worrying about the birds if I gave them up. I guess I''ll just have to quit giving mom and dad a box.

We have an amazon blue front. We raised him from a wee one. We had to feed him "monkey mix" with a syringe.

When I was in the 6th grade I stayed home from school and played with him ont he floor... He was about 8 mo. then. He would roll over onto his back and I would roll him back over. We would also play a game named "Fire man" His cage was on a metal stand and when I sat on the floor I would make a siren noise and say "fire man, fire man" and he would slide down the pole of his stand like a fire man. I would say to him, "PUT OUT THE FIRE FIREMAN!!" and he would flap his ings really hard!!! Then I would tell him that the fire man was "SLEEPY FIREMAN" and he would roll over on his back and I would roll him back over to his feet...LOL...

I don''t live at home anymore, but as soon as I get there he puffs up his feather and screams "MAN MAN!!!"

Birds are wonderful!!

His name is Monty Montgomery!

Babies are now 14 and 12 days old.

They are both growing up. They are so sweet. I''m surprised more people don''t have birds. They can be great pets.

Aw....so cute! Look at those sweet faces!!

The older one''s, uhm, feathers/down whatever reminds me of the playdough barber shop toy where you stuff the guy with playdough and squeeze hair out of little holes in his head
