That will be lovely and no I don’t get excited about Tim Tams either!

I actually love the Honolulu Cookie Company cookies waaaaay more. They’re American but are occasionally sold at Costco here.

Remember the pictures if you buy another one!!!

It's a full size chocolate and orange one, toasted a slice under the grill first, and it was lush, kind of reminded me of toasted tea cakes.

Shall try and remember to take a pic next time.

DK :))

these things are deffinatly an Italian relative of the hot cross bun

A lot lighter in texture than hot cross buns I'd say.

i still have two doz in the freezer, if i have the energy i may compair

so i miscounted my workmates and had to pop into woolies on the way home
just as well i did as they only had small GF and great big ones left and one small classico left

so a week tonight it will be Christmas night
im planning a lighter lunch in case its hot, so pinnapple and mint slaw with stuffed onions - i cant find any turkey mince, so it will be chicken mince in a cranberry cheesey sauce with a swirl of pesto, wrapped in bacon
i had a practice tonight with a mellon baller and it will work and the red onions are huge right now
Gary has been so funny, he must be looking forward to a pav (Pavalova) and he kept saying have you got the pav yet ??

so getting back on topic :lol-2:

it says to use creme fraiche but holy cow its expensive and ..... so was Mascarpone and so was Greek yougrt
wow what has happened to dairy prices? :angryfire:
my usual block of 1kg edam has gone up almost $2 in three weeks (despite being one of the world's largest dairy producesr the NZ consumer pays international market prices)

and for the quantity one has to buy, i dont use Mascarpone, creme fraiche or Greek yougrt so im going to us normal NZ fresh cream, whipped and fold some sour cream through it ..hmmm maybe with some pomagranite seeds ?? and a glass of desert wine !!!

anyway those little boxes of panettone are really difficult to xmas wrap, i wrap like a 5 year old, the box of coffee doesnt help either !
