Wow -- some great pics here. I'm not that good of a photographer, but here is one of life happening outside my office window this am... We watched mama hummingbird build her little nest and sit on the eggs for the past few weeks, and now we have 2 TINY baby hummingbirds...

Post all of them!! What beach is that on the East Coast Sunrise?

It is Ocean City, MD. It was hazy that morning and I liked the effect it gave the pictures. A little different than any that I have taken with clear skies.

Everyone's colorful sunrises are so gorgeous! So many colors

Yes -- our book says that after birth, 3 hummingbird babies weigh less than a dime! We couldn't really see them at all for the first couple of days, but now they are big enough that we can see their heads when Mom feeds them.

Ocean City, MD! I love Ocean City. My grandparents live right up the coast in DE. I've gone there countless times.

Lop- I love the humming birds. The adult birds are tiny enough..I can't imagine how tiny the baby humming birds are. Such a neat photo of them. The alligator looks scary

Good thing you're in a safe place taking those.

ok, people, i''m really envious of your cameras and your expertise. i spent the day with beautiful irises surrounded by soft rolling green hills with oak trees and all had was a disposable camera....

and i ordered another 22 irises!

have informed hubby that i now need a digital camera that will allow me to photograph the spess, my individual irises, and do scenic shots as well. can i get something good for +/- $500?

all the shots posted here are just gorgeous! i can only hope that once i get a digital camera that i''ll be able to get one or two good shots to post here...you''ve all set a very high bar!

btw, the trip to clovis was good but i didn''t see anything that made me whip out the credit card.

now start shopping!! you can get an excellent camera for $500 (or less!!)

Now you''ve done it!!! I''ve been holding back on posting non-diamond pics on PS as much as I can....I didn''t want to use up too much of Leonids disk space....

I''ve been gradually scanning in the pictures I''ve taken over the years that were pre-digital camera....I''m up to about 17,000 pictures now, and I''m probably about one-third done....there are a few nice ones in there....

We just got back from a Caribbean Cruise - with the digital camera - only have 850 pics to go through and narrow down to something manageable (that means cutting out at least half of them....

Here''s a picture from today - two young turky vultures have decided to make our back deck their perch.....

When I saw it doing this, the Hokey Pokey song popped into my head...
