Photoshoot of Feralpenchant''s new K asscher, as promised!

Hey girls, I know there were a few of you interested in seeing my stone! So excited to have it, all that''s left now is to send it to JA to be set and then wait for the proposal! It''s kind of hard to be in on the whole ring and then have to be out of the loop waiting for the proposal but oh well! When the ring is done it will have been worth it!

So here she is, 0.85 SI1 (TOTALLY eyeclean!) K Asscher! I tried to capture the warmth for you guys but I''m afraid it was super windy today so I wasn''t comfortable doing an outside shoot in case she blew away! Lol. It''s my first diamond ever what can I say I''m paranoid. So I did a photoshoot on the windowsill in the sun.

First pic is the worst of the bunch but it shows the tiny sparklies

Wow, your new Asscher is gorgeous!!!!! How are you going to set it?

It will be set in THIS.

And hopefully ONE DAY it will grow up to look something like THIS!

That's the plan anyway, but I may fall in love with the simplicity of the James Allen setting and stay along those lines when and if I ever upgrade. The JA style has so many more band options IMO! But I do love a nice halo..

Thanks Storm, you were the one who convinced me to go with this stone! The price was *so* right, that I was sure there was something wrong with it, but I''m glad I went for it, it''s awesome! I guess the K color was what was dragging the price down!

Well my SO and I are young so of course we are living paycheck to paycheck right now, but we have a small bundle in savings and part of it is set aside for the ring. When we bought the stone, it drained our whole ring fund that we had so far pretty much but we had to jump on it because as I said, the price was SOOO right! So now we are about 2 weeks away from having enough for the JA setting. We have lots of things we''re saving for, moving out, he needs a new car, etc.. so not all of the savings can go to the ring fund (DANGIT!!

) But once it''s set, I don''t know when it will actually be on my hand!

I''m attached to my diamond already.. knowing he has the ring and not being able to stare at my diamond all day until he proposes will be tough!

IDJewelryOnline.com was the vendor that I got the stone from. Yekutiel was AWESOME to work with, he called me with the stone in his hands and we talked about it, he was very professional and kind. I highly recommend IDjewelers, everything about the whole transaction was easy and perfect. This being my first diamond purchase, I was very nervous but Yekutiel helped me through it.

They even sent me a hardcover book of things to do in NYC! I think I might have to plan a trip up there to see the DIAMOND DISTRICT!! Er, I mean.. the museums!
