Today Catmom, IrishAngel, Monarch, Perry and I got together for lunch and a bit of bling at the gem show outside Chicago. Here is Perry with all his cool toys checking out my ring while we waited for lunch.

Then we all went for a FUN RIDE in the parking lot (don''t ask

) and reparked the car and walked across the street to the show. We were met with many people and lots of jewelry!

Our purchases: Perry's kaleidascope, IrishAngel's mystic topaz earrings, Catmom's dainty diamond and sapphire eternity band, and my yellow gold and diamond pendant. (Monarch is holding out for a big fab emerald at the May show so she didn't get anything today--but we certainly tried to convince her!)

I don''t know about everybody else but I''M EXHAUSTED!!! All that bling just wears a girl out. The happy hubby just made us a Mexican fiesta for dinner (the part I really care about is the margaritas, LOL) so I''m off for some hot food and a hot bed. The next Chicago gem show is in May--mark your calendars!

It was sooooooo much fun, and I''m exhausted too! I told myself I''d stay home tonight to do my last 3 assignments...but I can''t bring myself to do it. I was so bummed I couldn''t go to the show in August, so I''m happy I got to meet some fellow PSers. Thanks for sharing the pics DeeJay!!!

I had so much fun but I can''t believe how exhausted I am right now and I think I may have finally hit sparkly overload. By the end there everything started to look the same. Thanks DJ for posting the pics. It was so nice to meet IrishAngel, Monarch and Perry! I hope we are all able to get together again in May. It''s beddy bye time for me now, I have to be up and out by 6:15 [hubby managed to trap 2].

Now that I'm home - I too will say that I'm exhausted (I drove about 3.5 hours each way).

But it was so much fun to meet everyone - and have fun looking at gemstones, rings, and things. Glad you all got to play with my idealscope and ASET scope. Everyone had fun looking at there rings (and DeeJay got to look at her new diamond pendent before buying...).

Of course - thanks for the car ride (it was a real riot

); and I'll take up Santa's advice to pay for your 5 carat emerald with my credit card(s) when Santa takes up my request that he will pay the credit card bill...

See ya all - and others - at another one next year. I did the Mineapolis one this summer as well - without other PS'rs.

Now I get to play with my kalidiscope (this is a really good one - and really kool). The picture above is mostly of the center patern - and does not show the outer patern.

Gail - They are hosted periodically at different locations around the country. Here is a link to the site where they post the schedule (show schedule). Anyone can get into the main part of the show. There is also a part for "the trade" but you need some sort of tax ID # to get over there. Believe me though, you''ll be so worn out by the part you CAN get into that you''ll almost be *glad* you can get over to any more of it, LOL.

Well... we would have if we could have... Is the reason that you had your camera stashed in your purse during the drive was so that we couldn''t take pictures of you driving?

Of course, I suspose next time we should all bring our own camera. Everyone keep that in mind if you want to see what kind of wild lady Dee*Jay is when driving. Of course - some might be bored as well with such a picture. I will say though - that Dee*Jay did a great job of getting us to our final parking place for the diamond show.
