Please help find an emerald cut Blue Zircon

OP,

I look forward to the next stage of your project.

12 weeks will fly by in no time.

Jeff allows me to pay in instalments, and my current project with him, my third, is for a 17mm approximate Danburite that should be completed before the year is out.

It's the only way I could afford a high value stone, and it is worth the wait.

oh, wow! I look forward to seeing that! What are you planning for the danburite? I can't wait to own one of Jeff's stones in the future, not sure what it will be yet.

The intention is to set it as a clasp so that it can take different pearl strands, ideally with new acquisitions as in nicer strands than what I currently have, however, that could be a very long wait, as I would dearly love to have round 13-15mm size blue Tahitians or White SSP, and they are not exactly cheap!

Hi LuckyKelleyK - did you see Roger Dery's zircon on LoupeTroop? He calls it a radiant, emerald cut. It may not be the exact cut you're looking for but it's a nice size for a ring at with the stats being 5.68ct, 9.95 x 7.15 x 6.8mm.

Just wanted to second this recommendation. Zircon is doubly refractive, which means that you will see double lines for facets, which makes a step cut look less crisp (to me). A brilliant cut, like in the stone above, will make it look super sparkly and the double refraction will not be as noticible.

LKK: that is truly a beautiful zircon on LT. I would not hesitate to get it!

Thanks everyone! My mom has already paid the deposit to Jeff white so we are moving forward with him. That is definitely a pretty zircon though!

Oh yay! A Jeff White zircon - that will be a treat for sure!

Ooh I can't wait to see your mum's zircon!!

Congrats on being able to find something right up your alley. Looking forward to the end results in 12 weeks! :appl:

Just got word that this is completed! He is going to send me the rough photo, as well as a finished photo in a day or so. 6.98mmx10.36mm and 5.51 ct. Im so excited! Have to make my mom her turquoise ring box now :appl:

Yay!!! That's great news! Looking forward to admire the pics.
