I meant to also say that since Sapphire 1 is untreated I find it more special and likely more rare. You will have more chances at a stone like Sapphire 2 heated in the future so passing it up at this time can possibly be easier

Personally, I would go with #1. I prefer a better cut AND I am a purist - I don't like treatments. Sapphire 1 is beautiful. Good luck.

I sent back sapphire two yesterday

Here are a few pics of the sapphire family it has joined. It's crazy hard getting ALL of them to look good at the same time, lol - sorry, I tried my best. And I have to admit that it is kind of a cool feeling to have the entire "suite" be untreated.

ETA - I wasn't trying to color match exactly, I just wanted a fairly similar look among all of them - and I think they work fine for me (they were each purchased at different times over the last @2 years, I think?)
