It will be a gorgeous pairing! Very feminine and a ‘modern classic’. I love that it has clean lines that will complement your tourmaline. Here’s the setting suggested by @AnastasiaBeaverhausen and my Tourmaline together. I would set it in 14K White Gold. Any thoughts or opinions on this pairing?
I like the setting @AnastasiaBeaverhausen posted. It’s pretty and feminine.
I’ll also post a couple options. Are any of these your style?
I think this one could work with or without the halo. I like the tri-wire shank and the floral bits where it meets the ring.
Thanks everyone for your input! I haven’t made a final choice quite yet, but have asked DK for several quotes. Hopefully I will be able to make a decision soon...
This setting is so pretty!!! Thanks for sharing . I'll work on getting the hand shots you requested a little later.
Awesome! In the meanwhile can we get some hand shots? It looks positively glowy
I wasn’t able to take any decent hand shots. My hands never look nice in photos, yours are lovely btw .
Here are a couple of shots I took instead. One is with a concave Tourmaline from Gene which shows more yellow in person than the one from Jerry.
And next to a Tourmaline from Jeff White which he called Seafoam and looks more mossy green than my Jerry stone.
Sorry for the terrible picture quality. It’s overcast here today which makes it tough to take good photos.
@Rare gem lover I love your collection of greens too . You have amazing stones.
I still haven’t decided on which setting to choose yet. I haven’t heard back from DK in a while, but someone had mentioned he was out of town in another thread. I keep flip flopping on which setting I like best, but will try to decide soon!
@SouthernGent we don’t have a PM option so I’ll just answer your question here. I purchased the stone from another Pricescoper who was selling it from her personal collection on the Loupe Troop website. She had purchased the stone a while back from Jerry Newman of Gemart Services. I’m not sure how long ago she bought the stone from Jerry or if he has more rough available, but it might be worth reaching out to him to find out. Welcome to Pricescope2Neezers, that is a gorgeous stone! Would you PM me with where you got it, please?
Thank you. I apologize for not knowing about PM availability and such.@SouthernGent we don’t have a PM option so I’ll just answer your question here. Hi @SouthernGent that’s no problem and I don’t mind sharing the price of the stone, it was $850 and at 4cts it was a fantastic price! I’m not sure what you would pay for such a stone direct from a vendor, but I would guess it would be quite a bit more than what I paid. I keep an eye on Loupe Troop and the pre-loved section of this forum for stones on my wish list to be listed, because pricescopers have amazing taste in stones.Thank you. Would you mind saying what kind of price a stone like that would fetch?

That reminded me I never came back to show pictures of the set stone! Thank you all for your help .
I wanted a simple setting for this stone and ended up going with the inspiration from @AnastasiaBeaverhausen . I asked my local jeweler to make the design more sleek and refined than the inspiration pics and let him run with it. This is the first deep stone that I have had set and I’m still getting used to the extra height on my finger, but I like how the depth makes the piece looks more sculptural and that I can see the body color of the stone from the side.
