Without seeing actual images/videos, I prefer the numbers of C & D the most.

Forgot to mention the diameter as well, here they are:

Option A – 8.20 – 8.23 X 5.09mm

Option B – 8.06-8.10x 4.99mm

Option C – 8.21x8.25x5.01mm

Option D – 8.23x8.26x5.09mm

I originally said C or D. Now I'm just going to say D.

Are you the one who will be wearing or are you purchasing for an intended? If it’s the latter, I would probably choose C since it’s an H vs an I. If the person is definitely ok with an I, then I would choose D.

D. My eyes tell me that’s going to be the best looking stone; don’t even need to look at the numbers.

I vote for D!

Thanks for everyone recommendations. Greatly appreciated!

This is actually a surprise anniversary gift for my spouse. I am a bit concerned about the color too as I am not sure how big the difference it will be. I hope she doesn’t feel it as a downgrade as her engagement ring is a G VS1 but smaller carat.

I am not able to post the video here but here below are the links for the diamond C and D. They are both from Whiteflash and would like to hear your advice more:

Option C

Option D

Thanks!

Since her current diamond is a G, I think you’d definitely be safer going with the H especially if this is also an increase in size for her.

Since C and D are from Whiteflash, you can have them video those two together and see if you’re drawn to one over the other.

I still think D is the best option for my eyes. I don’t like the inclusions under the table in C

Who is the vendor for A? Can you give us the link?

Who is the vendor for A? Can you give us the link?

Vendor A is a New York jeweler named Engagement Rings Direct. I purchased few things from him before and is very reputable and trustworthy. He only shared the idealscope and GIA report for review but he doesn’t have an actual diamond video.
What do you think about option A compare to the others?

I would consider A just because I wouldn't go to an I if she is accustomed to seeing a G. Of course you would know your wife better, and know how much she cares about color. That, and I don't mind skinnier arrows. I would rather go with WF for the upgrade policy, so I would consider this one. I chose SI1 because I am assuming budget is an issue so I gave up clarity for color. Then upgrade to a higher clarity later.

Is her current stone a super ideal? What lab graded it? Even going down in color, it’s possible the new super ideal cut stone could face up just as white as her current stone. And same goes if her stone was graded by a less strict lab. Just things to consider! I still like the numbers on D but I’m sure both would be beautiful!

I would go option A only if the price is good .. Otherwise,

there are more better options available like this one

2.06
H VS2
EX EX EX - NONE
8.27mm-8.28mm * 4.98mm
TABLE 58%
DEPTH 60%
C.A. 34
P.A. 40.8
GIA

Her current ring is graded at GIA and the spec is very similar to the options noted above. She loves it as it is very clean and sparkle.

Option A price is about the same as Option C and D.

Thanks for all the recommendations!

Then i would say C or D ... would be better option

Option A has lot of inclusions like

FEATHER
PINPOINT
CLOUD
INTENDED NATURAL
NATURAL

If the price is less compared to C or D ... then option A is a good.

OP - from your original choices I like D and then C.

However, I really like this G-SI1 that @LLJsmom found. Looks more firey than the other two, and keeps you in G color.

I'm sure going from VS1 to SI1 may be a concern. Keep in mind WF is a super ideal vendor that vets their stones and won't let stones that affect light performance into their ACA collection. Also, the site says it's eye clean; however, I would explain you have a VS1 now and it needs to be on it's game with the naked eye.

For sure, I would have WF pull options C & D and this one as well so you can check out color and also how each stone behaves when lined up next to each other.

I might add one more as well. It's an H-VS2, but very nice to my eyes.

I received a diamond video from Option A. It looks very good and better color & clarity than I expected. Any people might have a different thoughts after watching the video?

I'm picky and I'd say option A looks a bit shallow for my preferences with a large table reflection (this is why I don't just look at numbers).

Not loving A in the video. But video is not great. Personally I could not commit to A with that video. I would need to see it rested in my hand between my fingers and rocked back and forth and around.

Where are you seeing this stone option of 2.06? Is this whiteflash?

If you’re OK with color, once I saw the ASET of option D I was like: this one!!!!!!! Then I look up the color and its lower than the other options, maybe you can ask WF to take side by side picture and video of the H and I and see how much color difference they have?

Yup, I'd do that.
