Another lovely day out on Port Philip Bay yesterday, while the Aussie winter has some wild and wet weather - we also get some ripper days like this...20180825_062751.jpg

Don’t know what this critter is (except the obvious ‘catapillar’) but I’ve never seen one that looked like this before. It was on my front porch this afternoon.

Yesterday during our riding break this little fella came over and picked up some bread that was on the ground and started having a grand meal. What a sweetheart.:kiss2:

I had the most beautiful autumnal dog-walk this morning: blue sky, dappled sunlight, beautiful shadows and crisp air. I always feel a bit flat and down as the days shorten, but I’m on a mission this year to minimise it as much as possible, and days like today certainly make it easier!

I have been sharing some pictures on my Facebook page, but perhaps some of them are appropriate for here as well.

Here is a shot of Stanley Lake, Idaho, shortly after sunrise.

LOL. They are really pretty and wonderful animals. Probably thought the basement was a good way to stay safe this winter. They are totally harmless unless you are a slug, salamander or another small critter like that. Oh...and they have a belly that ranges from buffy yellow to reddish.

I like snakes...when they are fashioned in 14-18k gold.

He was such a cute little guy, about 8 inches long. I love snakes. I have a photo of myself holding a 10 ft lomg reticulated python. Their skin is so nice and smooth.
Now had it been a large fuzzy spider....

Doberman, I just realized I called you Catmom in my post -- so sorry about that! I saw the gorgeous yellow diamond and my brain defaulted. D'oh!

Just returned from a 15-day cruise to Antarctica. The scenic beauty there was magnificent. Yes we landed multiple times via zodiac and can now say that I have step foot on the continent.

First up, penguins, we saw 5 different types.

OMG! That snake! Any chance there is a hole somewhere for it to return? Glad you like snakes.

You must have had such a great time taking those nice pictures Cheryl.

I have been many places, but Antarctica is not one of them, nor is it on my bucket list. Just too cold for me!
