I know squirrels are common and I have no shortage of gray ones, but this is the first time I've had a red squirrel that I know of and he is so cute, and tiny, compared to the grays.

isn't he/she? He is so small he can get into the caged bird feeder that I have that is supposed to be squirrel proof. But I don't mind. His little face just make me say "cute".

What a fantastic picture @Lookinagain, I love his little face :kiss2:

Took the kids for a walk on some hiking trails and decided to take some pictures to show them how taking one good picture of something relatively common can make it interesting.

Those are great. Did you use your phone camera?

@Lookinagain, it is great if you like taking pictures especially outside. I don’t even use all the options, so I’m sure you could get even better shots by tinkering around.

and from the other end of the day (last Thursday, almost home)
With the sunset at my back, this garden facing the river had these red hot pokers that were positively glowing in the last of the day's rays 20220623_172132.jpg

Not the best photo as I had to grab the camera quickly before he flew away and take the shot through the glass door, but I had this Red-Winged Blackbird this morning. I don't see them very often in my yard and when I do, they don't stay long enough for a photo so I was lucky to get one at all.

It's a groundhog (a.k.a. woodchuck). We have a few that munch dandelions and other greens in our yard, also.

oh he/ she is cute
i did not know a groundhog and a wood chuck is the same wee furry dude
i did see the movie

What did that feel like? So cute.

Her fur is soft and she's just a bit squishy in her haunches!

I think she likes it. The other day when was massaging along both sides of her spine, she stopped putting almond slices in her mouth and sort of relaxed and zoned out for a little while.

My daughter stroked her belly when she was sitting upright. She says it's soft.

That sounds fun! They usually run away from me ASAP, haha. Need to dream up my own chipmunk bribery.

This is a Cenote. Underground caverns with natural springs. There’s thousands of them sprinkled across the Yucatán
