The ospreys in Hammonasset (CT) have one egg so far-- it wasn't there when I looked last night.
Incubation is about 32 days.
The female (the bird on the right in this photo) is incubating it at present.

What puzzles me is why the ospreys haven't built up their nest yet! I've been watching Estonian osprey webcams for years and all the ospreys there build up their nests to a large degree. I've always thought it was to protect the babies from falling out.
When will these two put up their "safety gates"?

Sadly, the 3 osprey eggs are gone, and there is no bird on the nest.
I don't know what happened.
