Vibe of the evening...

How Clear, How Lovely Bright
by

"Ensanguining the skies
How heavily it dies Into the west away;
Past touch and sight and sound
Not further to be found,
How hopeless under ground
Falls the remorseful day."

That was the sun, no joke!

Amazing! What part of the world is this?

Thanks to the Canadian wildfire, the smoke particles block the blue/green wavelengths of light from reaching the ground. Only the long wavelengths of red/orange make it through.

Cactus flowers in my back yard.

There are drunk bees inside each one!
They didn't even notice when I pushed the petals apart to see them better.

So cute!!

@Lookinagain, the expression on the bun bun’s face just cracks me up. We have bunnies too and a woodchuck but we have only seen him/her once this year.

Was just taking a pic of the female cardinal at our feeder, when the male (bright red) flew in, and gave her a kiss!! I managed to almost catch it :kiss2:20230523_193209.jpg

Too sweet!

Cases of mistaken identity.

I thought it was an American robin initially but it's actually a spotted towhee!

Extra long raven? No, it's a great-tailed grackle.

Wow! I've never seen a towhee. I have Grackle's galore, but I think they are all Common Grackles. Although not really sure how to distinguish them from the long tailed ones.
