I was just going to say my favorite stone piece is a spinel necklace once owned by Shah Jihan.I''ll try to find the link I read about it.
Unbelievably to me it sold on the private market for I think I remember a little over a million dollars. Imho it''s priceless and it should be in a museum.
My favorite color piece(s) at PS are Catmom''s saphhire suite (paruve?). Fit for royalty!
I think this is the one you''re referring to? 3 of the spinels on this necklace are inscribed with dates as far back as 1607 and the names of Jahangir & Shah Jahan although the diamond and pearl mount is 18th century. It''s a magnificent piece.
