Stunning dispersion, great colour, and I LOVE the pic of it next to your e-ring. It screams out for yellow gold, IMO! Maybe even a super thin bezel to emphasize that shape. Whatever you do with it, I''m really anxious to see more pics of it. Looks like it has a ton of character!

Thankyou very much to everyone who has made such nice comments about my zircon!
I knew really nothing about them until PS'ers started purchasing some, and I had no idea they had such great brilliance, scintillation and fire etc.

Of course, being one of Gene's cuts it's also impeccably faceted too.

It’s really pretty; I can see that it’s sparkle and colour might be mistaken for a yellow diamond. I’d be tempted to set it in a ring to better admire the high RI but you are right, in the long run, it’s safer in a pendant.

Once I saw the sparkle etc I thought ring too (I always do, lol)..
But I think it''s time I branch out a lil..
after my sapph ring plus a RHR I have booked with JKT, that will be heading toward 10 custom gem and diamond rings...

I know that ain''t much compared to some of our members, but seeing as I only wear one ring at a time...lol..

I''m really liking all the creative pendants Julia has been coming up with, but beyond a YG bezel haven''t really any ideas..perhaps pair it with some smaller diamonds in a drop type style..?

Yep, that yellow is lovely aswell, but it certainly cannot compete with the performance of the zircon..

Honestly, apart maybe from the saturation in some lights, I doubt most could tell the difference

There were times during the photo shoot the zircon was competing with my OMC to throw rainbows and fire !

Ideas - I'm sure I'll come up with more, but my first thought was a YG semi bezel from top and bottom (unlike the usual semi bezels from the sides that you see in rings), and accented by 3 RB white melees clustered atop of it in a triangle shape.

I wouldn't recommend a halo, unless you really want to blind someone and/or cause a massive car accident

Edit: HERE you can see some semi bezel pendants, set the way I suggested you do with your zircon.

I love the idea of a semi bezel with 3 diamonds in a triangle. I suggested a full bezel with 3 diamonds in a triangle for another PSer recently. I think it''s just a new look. And I''m sure that this stone can compete with the diamonds in the sparkle area.

While I''m at it, another one;

A marquise shaped pendant, in the center of which your zircon is semi bezeled from the sides. There are 2 diamonds above the zircon (north of it) and two under. Two diamonds on each side are not the same size, the ones closer to the center stone are larger (say .05), the ones closer to the tip of the marquise are smaller (say .01). So in the end you have a marquise inside of which there are, looking from the top, one smaller diamond, one larger diamond, your zircon, another larger diamond and another smaller diamond. Hope I didn''t confuse you.

P. S. You can cluster melees in this idea too (if you add more of them), instead of going with the linear arrangement.
