Where in NYC did you get the setting? I have a friend who is going there next week and I can have her poke around the store for me.

iLander, the pendant is from Klim Jewelry on W 47th street. They actually have 2 locations on the same street, and their stuff is interchangeable. In fact, they share the selection of pendants, so if you don't see them at one location, they'll get it for you from their other store. I went with friends, and we all managed to get several pieces - it was a lot of crazy fun.

47th and what? My friend will be near 59th and Sixth, so that might be really close! I'm totally sending her over there, it's an awesome setting, a nice middle ground between a halo and a princess. What's the diamond quality? Was it really expensive? NYC is funny, everything is either really expensive or a fabulous deal, there seems to be no middle ground.

Do you live there? Is it just me or does hot n crusty have the world's best coffee?
Both locations are on W 47th, between 5th and 6th. If you type 'Klim Jewelry, NY' into google maps, you'll also get a street view - one of the booths is in that Ross Metals location. I thought the diamond quality was excellent in my ring and pendant setting. I don't think the quality was quite as good in the earrings, but certainly very nice. I bought a setting at Intergem a few months ago, and when I put them together, I saw that there was a marked difference in how white and sparkly the Klim diamonds were. The prices were pretty good, probably comparable to LOGR's higher quality settings, and everything I saw at Klim was 18K. In fact, I didn't even see anything that was 14K that whole weekend.

And no, I don't live there, but will definitely want to try that coffee on my next trip!

I love your pendant. Please show us how it looks on.
Thanks Pink Tower, I''m working on it, lol.

I absolutely love your rubellite pendant!

Your Afghan tourmaline is lovely too - any setting plans for it?

Beautiful color and cut for the green tourmaline! Love your pendant too. Klim Jewelry is my favorite store too, I got two pairs of earrings and the setting for my blue sapphire from them. Their price is reasonable compared to quality. Very good pick!

yingh, are you talking about the big blue sapphire ring with the half moons? And I''d love to see your earrings as well. And I think you live in my area - maybe we need to plan a joint trip up to NY!!

Yes the setting for the big blue sapphire, and ring for alexandrite, and these two pairs of earrings are all from Klim.

Gorgeous pieces, ladies!!!

Here is preview pics of my 2 ruby rings. One is an antique ring (yellow gold) with single cuts diamonds, one is modern setting with the ruby set very high up. I love how different they look and how one ruby has orangy hue to it while the other has raspberry hue to it.
