Made my Save the Dates with the Copy Room Diva's help. They're simple, straightforward and... oh yeah, FREE!

Love them! Will post pics tonight.

I just have to find some envelopes now! Off to office depot later to see what I find. This stuff is fun!

Doesn''t it feel great when you get things accomplished!

gypsy I can''t wait to see them. What size envelopes do you need? What color?

White and 5.5 by 4 inches.

They aren't PERFECTLY anal retentively done, but considering that I wasn't going to do any AT ALL, except the people keep asking me for them, I'm happy.

haha I designed my STDs from work too. Work is such a great time to get things done...except the work I actually get paid to do.

CRAP! Is the woman (bride) supposed to listed first??????

Please say No. I put John first.

Okay. I fixed it. Will reprint and re-cut to tailor tomorrow. Can you guys proof them for me before I mess up another batch? THANK YOU! The pic isn't perfect, but I think you get the idea.

"invitations" should be singular unless you''re sending multiples to the same person.

Great point Hudson. Geez. And here I was trying to make short work of an annoying task. LOL.

I'm not sure about the clip art I used, now that I've stared at it all day. It looks like a frog sitting in the center with two crowns on either side and a long tongue out to catch flies. Kinda cute in a kiss a frog, get a prince kinda way, but... I'm not impressed. Anyone got any links to some good clip art?

Okay. So my computer at home has a better graphics package than work. BY FAR. So here''s the second revision of those. I''ve already edited the text to un-capitalize the "I" in invitation.

Are they better?

I love the new clipart. Has so much more pizzaz! I''m not sure if I spelled that right...but you get my drift!

I'm glad you like it better too! I want something nicer than the ones I did in about five minutes at work. I think these are fine. I'm considering changing all the coloring to orange though. Hmmm.

ETA: Never mind, can't get the graphic to change colors. Good thing I like green!

I have to say I dig the green. Of course it''s favorite color numero dos after blue...What do the invites look like? Are they around here somewhere?

Invites are going to be orange. LMAO. They could be green too, honestly, the ones I'm most interested can be done in various colors. I've got it narrowed down to a few options. I don't really care if they match the invites or not though, honestly.

And now, of course, I'm considering doing my own. The lovley lady at work said she'd help me. And we've got some rock'n copy machine/ printers. Industrial!

I love your save the date card! The green is lovely!! Well done!

Did you say the design came from clip art?

HI Hudson. Well, see, I''m not sure. The design came from my computer. LOL. I didn''t put it there, so I assume it was pre-loaded. But it''s not they type you can change the color on. It tells me it''s a bit-map so the color can''t be changed. So I really don''t know if that means it''s clip art, cause I''m not sure of the definition of clip art. Does that make sense?

Gypsy you are on a ROLL! I''ve been sitting around the past few days reading your progress posts, thinking "wow, maybe I should follow Gypsy''s example and do some wedding planning."

I loooooooooove your new design! Print!

Gypsy -- love the new STD. Very pretty, and I love the green.

I only have one minor suggestion, which is totally not necessary, but thought I would throw it out there: Consider adding "Sunday" in to the STD.
We also got married on a Sunday, and we made sure to put Sunday on our STDs because often people just assume that weddings are on Saturdays (which is becoming less and less the case). We wanted to make sure people realized that the wedding was indeed on a Sunday and that, no, we didn''t put the wrong date on them, etc. Again, totally not necessary since people should just put the date on their calendar and realize it is a Sunday ... but, well, we decided to do it.

Again, Love the new STD. You''re on a roll with this wedding planning!

LOL. It''s so funny, I look at that freaking checklist and I feel like I''m standing still in my wedding planning spinning my wheels. Then someone makes a comment, and I realize, that maybe, just maybe... I''ll get this done in time. If you need any help CJ I''d be happy to lend a hand.

I did print them, and cut them out. And I found some lovely 65 pound GREEN A2 size envelopes for 6 bucks for 25 I think... so I''m going to buy those, they are nice invitation weight. And I think I''m set on the STDs. They look good and I''m very happy with them.

My friend in the copy center ROCKS! Her daughter is getting married Sept 13th, so we''re trading ideas and helping each other out.

Turtle... I TOTALLY WISH I had put Sunday now, drat it. That''s such a KEY suggestion... but the suckers are already printed and cut to size and everything so it''s too late. Blast. Oh well. I should have waited an hour for the morning STD critiques to come in.

Got to order those envelopes tonight. I''m digging the look of the set.

Gypsy, I was having that problem of the color being wrong - but I have publisher at work and found I was able to change the color of the graphic by right clicking, go to format picture, and then "recolor picture" and it will change the lighter shades, too. Not sure if you can do it in Word or not...

These are wonderful, Gypsy! I love the green color as well as the graphic. They''re going to be perfect!

Ugh, sorry I''m slow today. I didn''t read that you already printed them! I like what you have done!

That's exactly what I did with the graphic on the first batch. Wouldn't let me with this batch though. Oh well, they're done. And I already have envelopes picked out that should work as the lighter green in the design printed up a lovely lime green. Over all, pretty happy.

Seriously considering doing my own invites now.

On the envelopes, will they send you a sample to make sure it matches (at least relatively) to the colors on the save the date? That''s how I would judge which one to get - and have just enough - or five times as many!

Honestly I like the second one better. Can you print up Thank You cards to go in them too? Then you'll use more than just the initial STDs...With something like that I think you could come up with ways to use them, especially now that you've got mad publishing skillz.

LMAO at my own goofiness. Sorry, delirious from the Stats test this morning....

ETA: and apparently said Stats test has made me read selectively...blah...

How did your test go honey? How are you feeling?

sweetjettagirl04-- SAMPLES! Why didn''t I think of that! BRILLIANT! Gonna request now.

The second ones look better online, but you never know until you have it in your hands!
