Can''t remember sorry TGal! It was within the range they gave us. Her SS card took longer though.

Burk you are sweet but I do not look that good anymore! Maybe in a few months...a girl can dream...

Jeepers curlygirl, that is fast! Amelia is 3 months and we don''t have hers yet...something must be wrong!! I need it to get her passport for our Oz trip later this year.

Thanks ladies for your two cents on my friend. Yes, of course I won''t list what I *think* she''s done "wrong". We all decide what we feel is safe and go with that, and that is why I haven''t mentioned anything to her about the stuff I listed. I just feel like the walker is SUCH a risk upstairs, you know what I mean? She has no gates installed yet. I was over yesterday and that package of diapers looked so small. Kind of a tough spot to be in, because I don''t want to nag her...when she emailed me she was going to buy the walker, I let my opinion be known then. I guess I may have to wait until I am there next and she has him in it with the diaper barricade to say something. I don''t want to say something just out of the blue.

Thanks for all the compliments on Amelia! Yes, I am starting to finally think she looks a bit asian, but I think I just REALLY want to see it in her.

lili, I don''t think I''d be of much help in the sleep training department. I think I got lucky with a good sleeper. Yes, I took her whole sleep schedule on like a big project, but she''s always slept pretty well. My goal was just not to mess with it! I hope J is at least getting some rejuvenating Zz''s at night.

MsF, which SS class did you take? Hermosa or MB?

Tacori, I like those bins! We don''t have room for those either...drat. It seems like a really smart buy!

How funny that Tayva and Tessa have the same onesies as Amelia. Either we all have fab taste, or there just simply aren''t very many choices out there. Hee hee. I have to admit...I really am not a pink or purple fan, so I bought some boy onesies and pants for Amelia. Without thinking much about it, I took her own in it and of course everyone thought she was a boy. So I now I leave those outfits for home wear only.

Burk, good luck with the appt tomorrow!

As for the level 2 nipples...just tried it for her lunch and went fine...although it was kind of alarming how fast it went down! I thought I needed to switch, because like Lily, Amelia was taking FOREVER to finish a bottle and would get distracted (or frustrated) enough not to want it anymore. My little girl is looking kind of scrawny (I can see her rib cage) and I''m thinking that I need something to get her to take all her food.

Jas, it''s great Co has been so easy. You''ve had such a tough time with sleep that you deserve it!!!

curly, OMG...daycare is crazy in NY!!! That is a BOATLOAD of money...eek. I think daycare definitely has it''s benefits and may think about it later for Amelia. But my mom wants to come and help and with my dad now gone, she has all this time and I think she wants to feel useful. Plus I work from home, so I can be around to witness the milestones. We''ll see how it works out.

Jen, your comment on poop has me nervous. I think Amelia''s poops smell bad now. She must take after her dad.

MrsS, you owe us some new pics of Jake for sure.

Everyone thanks for your feedback about showers, I appreciated it! I think we will hold off on buying anything at all until much much later b/c I have a feeling that our friends and family will be very generous, we are lucky to have a supportive social circle who knows we are a little "poor" still.

Lili and Tgal, your daughters are beautiful!!!!
30.gif
30.gif
They grow so fast!!

Burk, thanks, I can't help chiming in on how adorable these baby's are, to see their pictures just makes my day!!! hehe
face23.gif
You and Tayva, are so pretty!!

Carter''s onesies are really thick so I like them. Plus they are cheap! She has the purple pack too. I don''t wear that much pink/purple but know what you mean about wanting people to know she is a girl. I got THE cutest blue striped dress at Target today ($5.99) I couldn''t resist!

The bin is the size of a small bookcase. You could use the top for something if you need to multi purpose.

OMG, I knew I recognized Amelia''s onesie! We just bought that set for the new baby!! And the purple ones too for Lily! Lily STILL fits into her 3 month Carter''s onesies which is bizarre to me so we bought her some big girl ones too just for hanging out at home in or if her pjs are all in the wash. LOVE all those Carter''s basics--they hold up really well!

How does she still fit in them? Aren''t they too short on her? I agree they are really good quality and I think they are cute. It is so hot here often that is all she wears (more stylish than the generic white ones).

Quick drive by to post little B''s new hair cut. DH shaved off his hair last week hoping he will grow full head of hair after the shave.

neatfreak & Burk, love the hair!

Burk, I can see where your T got her good look from....good luck with T''s appt.

TGal, Amelia is so cute~ I can see the Asian in her...

lili, J looks too cute with her mohawk and she look so long..

so little B is on feeding strike again so we thought let''s try giving him cereal to see how he will react. The pedi said we can give him solid but he prefer we wait until he can take 32 oz of formula per day which I don''t think it will happen EVER!!

So he took couple bites of cereal and decide he don''t like them so we gave him his bottle, of course he didn''t finish his bottle and start to cry like he is in pain. and puke after. He must felt better after the puke since he calm down and start to smile, I wonder if it''s because his tummy is adjusting to the cereal.

k..back to work...

Tgal, i got Jakes birth cert. and SS card both within a month of his birth. Definitely check, Amelia should have her''s by now.

when I had my first, I was so not into the girly frilly stuff and dressed her little army pants and cute tops etc. everyone thought she was boy too so I gave in and started dressing her a lot more girly. I must admit though, looking back on her baby pictures there were times she did look like a little boy
41.gif
i think her lack of hair for soooo long really didn''t help either...

9.gif
thanks everyone for your comments about J.
her hair is just so funky, especially after her sleep.
i tried combing in down all the time, but nothing works.
i still have yet to try what Diver suggested with the suave detanglizer,
but DH loves it with the mohawk, so i may just let it be.

Jas12
glad to hear that you had a great time at the cottage.
can''t wait to see pix of your weekend.
hope your cousin get their good news soon!

yeah, jadie is not napping in the afternoon, yet she''s still got so much energy.
i don''t know how i''ll handle her when she''s mobile.
i probably should have expected this from her since she was pretty active in my belly -- felt her day and night.
what makes it hard is that she wants people to talk to her and i''m not a talker like tacori
41.gif

so how are you doing?
getting some sleep at night?

TGal
Does Amelia have red hair?
It looks a bit reddish in the pix.

Tacori
Love those shelves!

Burk
my hair is really thin (and it certainly is not helping with this postpartum shedding), so i never need to blow dry my hair.
i usually bun it up or french braid it since i hate having hair in my face.
i am seriously thinking about cropping it though because jadie is starting to grab things and i''m afraid her fingers will get tangled in this stringy mess.
and by cropping, i mean having my sister cut it straight across
41.gif
, so there''s really no style at all.

poor tayva. hope she''s not allergic to anything. keep us posted on what the doc has to say.

ella
i know what you mean about seeing younger babies.
when i took jadie to the lactation nurse when she was 6 wks, i saw a newborn there with the same birth weight as jadie.
she was sooo tiny. jadie is a giant with her big ole belly and thunder thighs compared to her -- makes me realized how not so newborn jadie is

curly
wow, childcare is insane there, and i thought $1500/mnth was outrageous.
so with the second one coming, are you going to put #2 in the same daycare too?
or if i remember correctly, your mom is going to look after the second one?
sometimes i think i should quit my job and just open up a daycare center -- seems like a pretty lucrative venture and you get to be around the wee ones all the time!

jen
wow, 20%? that''s alot since hospital bills for L&D can go from 20-40 grand.
my company have a pretty good insurance plan, so we didn''t pay anything for my prenatal appts and L&D.

MrsS
Still waiting for your Jakey pictures

Hello mommies. Not sure WHAT I am still doing up! Been on the go since 7:30 am. I am almost finished with a series of four paintings for my friend. It is her daughter''s gift for her 1 year b-day. Easy to do since she told me exactly what she wanted (pottery barn kids design) but they sure are time consuming! And I wonder why (besides T''s paintings) I never paint anything for myself! I''ll post a picture when they are done.

I swear T is turning into such a drama queen. Is 8 months too young for that?
2.gif
I have a dentist appointment and I know she will nag me about flossing (bad Tacori!) I am going to blame sleep deprivation.
24.gif

TGal, Burk, Curly, and Tacori
J got that same onesie as a gift
9.gif

it's a 6month, so it'll be a while before she can wear it.
else i would have put her in it and take a pix so that she can be Amelia's twin
41.gif

Bobo
little is so cute bald.
looks like the hair is already coming in as i can see a little buzz on him.
sorry to hear that little B is on eating strike and in so much pain.
J has the same problem with the screaming too.
every time she's fussy and screaming like that, i would burped her until her spit comes out.

Tacori, can''t wait to see your painting!

lili, DH left about 1/2 inch hair on little B, he is scare to shave too close to the scalp. Especially the soft spot.

I''m loving all these cute baby photos. Lili & Bobo your babies have the cutest hair!!! Both my kids were largely bald for the first year so I love seeing tiny babies with full heads of hair (not that I don''t think the hairless look is cute).

Speaking of hair Tgal and other new mummies who are loosing theirs fear not it does grow back. Mine fell out twice in 3 years so I got it cut as short as possible and now it seems to be thriving again finally. It caught me by surprise when it first started happening. The second time I was prepared for it, but still didn''t enjoy loosing it.

hola gals!

Bobo, little B is so cute with his buzz!! Is that tradition in your culture? (I can''t remember if you are Chinese or Korean?) I know in Korean culture, they do that in the hopes of more hair, but I am not sure it actually works...you''ll have to let us know!

lili, yes Amelia has auburn hair - so if definitely looks red outside...

thanks for the info on the certificate. I found out that we did have paperwork included with her discharge that I didn''t see (I''m formula fed, what can I say.) In LA county, apparently the cert is ready 10-12 weeks after birth, so we''re good to send in the paperwork and get the certificate. They said it''s because there are so many babies born in LA county...but c''mon....lily was born in New York City (right Curly?) and hers didn''t take that long!!

Ooh Tacori, can''t wait to see the paintings! I called Amelia a drama queen this morning and thought of Tessa. What''s she doing that''s drama-queen-like?
1.gif

OK, EVERYONE get your girl in those onesies and we''ll post pics all at once. Hehehehe.
41.gif

SS, yeah, I know it does grow back so (right now) I am not too fussed. However it''s SO wrong timing wise. Amelia is now at the grabby stage so she always has my hair wrapped around her fingers...and it goes straight into her mouth. Argh!

Thanks SS, DH think little B's looks bald so he shaved his head hoping he'll get fuller hair. It is also a tradition thing in our culture.

TGal, it is a tradition thing and we're chinese so I guess this tradition runs in the Asian culture.

I was very bad about posting in the Preggo thread and haven''t been on much at all since my baby was born (PPD really threw me off). I''m back now and will go back and read up on all the Mommy business just wanted to start off by saying hi and posting a few pics of my baby girl.

Here she is in my favorite onesie. I just love her smile!
9.gif

ipood smiles.jpg

here''s why it''s my favorite.

ipood onesie.jpg

TGal, I think she rolled her eyes at me!

SB, she is beautiful! How old is she again? Hope you are feeling better.

SB, what a cutie!!! How the heck do you all capture such cute smiles? I have yet to do that!

Tacori, OMG...I swear Amelia did the same to me...and she''s only 3 months! Tessa''s got SPUNK, that is for sure.

So I came back from Amelia''s 3 month appointment. Here''s her stats....

At her two month...

Weight 10lb13oz/ 50th%ile
Height 23"/75th%ile
Head 39cm/50th%ile

And now, at her 3 month...

Weight 12lb12oz/ 65th%ile
Height 24.5"/90th%ile
Head 39.5cm/50th%ile

She grew an inch and a half in a month!
6.gif
I knew I had an orangutan baby!!!!

TGal, My doctor doesn''t do 3 month appointments. She is getting big! T was under 10 lb at 2 months poor little girl. She was crawling around and was trying to crawl OVER my legs which was blocking her way. I just left them there to see what she would do. She got SO angry! Drama! Finally she changed directions. She sighs all the time too. You''ll get smiles easier as she gets older!

just had a mommy and me at our pool, it was so much fun!

tgal- for the birth certificate we had to take a form from the hospital to the courthouse (we went at the airport) to get a certificate, they told us we couldnt go till 3 months... maybe that is the same info you got?

I''ve had a great day, mommy and me at the adult school and then the pool party and i''m getting ready for a babyless mommy wine and cheese night!

Hehehe, baby sighs are funny....

msflutter, yup, that is the same notice I have. Did you get the certifcate on the spot? Or do you pay for it then and get it mailed to you? Sounds like you are having a fun day!

OK, I am going grocery shopping today and getting healthy stuff. I''m done with this fatty thing...I got on the scale and I GAINED 4 pounds. And I don''t even feel bloated today. Holy moly. My only hope is that it is muscle finally building as I have been working out with SS for the last month or so. But I doubt it. Bah!!!!!

LOL, that totally fits the bill Bobo...

Haha Bobo! She was so annoyed with me!

TGal, I thought of another drama queen move she does...throw her bottle when she is done with it
20.gif
The first time I thought it was an accident. Nope.

tgal-amelia is really growing!! Jake's dr. doesn't do a 3 month.

tacori, too funny about Tessa. she sure is one cute drama queen.

bobo- love the buzz on little b.

stephansbride- love the onsie...cute pics

so, a few weeks ago Jake flipped over from front to back. total fluke, i' sure. well, yesterday he did it again, 3 times in a row. every time i put him on his tummy he'd just flip right over. he did it 2 more times today. my dr. said b/c he's such a big boy he might noy start flipping over until later. he might be a chunky monkey but he's strong
