Tacori Glad to hear that Tessa is on the mend! I like your AV pic alot. I think it would be so cute if you photoshopped some ornaments or tinsel around her. or gave her a santa''s hat.

Burk That''s great that your husband sells windows (see, you''re saving money already!) I hope it all works out for you! Sprinkling dust.
I did end up ordering the MB. Let''s hope this is the last reset for a while if not forever, b/c if not there will be no reason for me to have any wedding rings

My ILs love Nebraska. Every year they drive cross country and always stop in York at Chances R. They say it is the best steak ever!

Katelyn and Gabe are sooo adorable.
Cute cute pictures!
Great family pix -- you guys look great.
I love the one of your girly girl w/ daddy -- sooo sweet.

Her hair is getting so long and curly.

Oh no, poor babies.
Wow, 9 days of puking? Must not smell nice at home :P

Happy 1st bday to Brady!

That avi is cute.
But if you have more pictures that you want us to pick from

we''ll be more than happy to help you choose.

Sorry to hear that Tessa didn''t escape the stomach bug

Happy 8-month to Co!

Jackson and Logan are getting so big.
I was right in saying that they are bigger than J

And yay for getting back to pre-preggo weight so fast.

snlee
Good luck with transitioning D to his own room.

tacori- I like the avatar pic a lot. what others are you choosing from, are they on your who's who thread?

happy 8 month to Co and J...

here's jake's monthly pic with Mr. Bear. I had such a hard time getting him to smile today 30 minutes and this was the only decent picture of him with a grin.

here''s another with a much better background but I could not do anything to get him to crack a smile

Awwwww....Jake is too cute for words MrsS.
Both pictures are precious.
Love his smile in the first picture, and it's funny how it looks like he's pushing mr bear away from the spotlight.
But I

the second one. His expression is just precious.
Also, you can see how he dwarfed mrbear when he's sitting nice and tall.

I HATE clogged milk ducts! Sunday afternoon I started feeling sick (chills and achy all over). After getting 11 hours of sleep, I''m feeling better but not 100%. At first I thought I was just sick but then I realized it could be mastitis. I called my OB and they wanted to see me today so I went in to get it checked out. I had been meaning to make an appointment to get a bump checked out. The good news is that I don''t have mastitis but it does sound like my body was trying to fight off a clogged duct. I got a prescription for antibiotics in case I do end up getting mastitis. I''m going to get an ultrasound done on my breast sometime this week to make sure the small hard bump isn''t anything I should be concerned about so fingers crossed.

In happier news, at 10 weeks postpartum I''m back to my pre-pregnancy weight! I was surprised to see I was 1 pound less today!

Tacori, glad to hear Tessa is feeling better! I like your avatar picture. There''s been so many cute pictures of Tessa! Which ones are you choosing from? DH and I was super young when we met. We were teenagers! I think sapphires are beautiful but I don''t think I love the look of them on me so I''m planning to get diamonds. Did you communicate with Julian through email or over the phone? Did he respond to your emails promptly?

Burk, thanks for the support! Good luck with the house! That''s a lot of work but I hope it pays off and works out for you!

Gemma, I can''t remember when D first put himself to sleep. I try to put him down drowsy but sometimes I put him down wide awake or asleep. With his paci, he''ll sometimes put himself to sleep when I put him down wide awake. I would just do whatever works. Putting her down drowsy now is a good start!

Diva, thanks for the advice. I do think he doesn''t like his crib because it''s cold. I tried layering him and putting a blanket on the bottom half of his body but he still didn''t like it. It''s much more warmer in bed with mommy and daddy. I will work on the naps in crib during the day and getting a routine down.

TGal, you''ll be missed here!

lili, we''re not moving D to his own room yet. I was just trying to move him to his crib, which is next to our bed right now but I think I''m going to hold off transitioning him now.

MrsS, aww the pictures of Jake are adorable! I love his smile in the first picture and how he''s pushing mr bear away! The Santa hats are so cute!

Okay, I used a different picture and ordered them last night. DH is SICK! I mean REALLY sick! Taking care of him is harder than the baby. I was up all night. I just hope I don''t catch whatever he has.

MrsS, Jake is so handsome! I love how much bigger he is than the bear and that is took all those pictures through the months. I will do that will my next one. Very cool idea.

snlee, sorry to hear about the clog. Have you nursed on all fours? Congrats on losing all your weight. I must be doing something wrong
19.gif
I spoke with Julian mostly on the phone but on e-mail too.

Mrssalvo Jake it too cute! I love the bear picture idea too.

Tacori Sorry your DH is sick! I hope you stay healthy!

Tgal Don''t worry. Soon enough you will be saying "Amelia, I told you to stop playing with the light switch"

In my world, I am having eye surgery Thursday, and am a little nervous
23.gif

Tacori~We will do a get together someday, I''m sure!! So glad Tessa is fine. Sorry your DH isn''t feeling well, though. You must be exhausted! I totally thought of you and your DH on Sunday when my DH told me that he was sorry he hasn''t been around as much as he appreciates everything I do and that he would watch T while I went shopping-then handed me $300! I started laughing right then and there. Nice gesture, sure, but really, you''re going to just hand me cash? Men. Oh, and post the pic you used for the Christmas card please!!

Diva~I hear ya on the cold weather. Yuck. It''s 24 degrees here with snow and it''s WINDY. Yuck, yuck and double ick.

iluv~so glad you went with the MB. Can''t wait to see it!! Ironic that your IL''s go to Chances R. My DH loves that place. I don''t eat steak so we have never gone together but I hear great things about it. York is only 40 minutes from where we live. What kind of eye surgery are you having?

mrss~I love the pics! I actually like the second one. Reminds me of a facial expression T loves to make.

41.gif

snlee~Sorry to hear about the clogged duct. Congrats on being at your pre-preggo weight. That''s right when I got back to mine, too. Although for me, nothing looked quite the same as it used to. I had to go back to work at 11 weeks so I was just happy my work clothes fit!
3.gif

Not much for new news around here. I got my order from moms4life already, though so I''ll take some pics of the baby legs (so cute) and T''s new clip. I just love getting fun orders like that!!

Tacori, I am so sorry about your DH, ah that sounds awful. I pray you don''t get sick either, hugs and feel better vibes/thoughts for the whole family.

Hi gang--eeks, so much to catch up on. I''ll have to respond to everyone later, i am hosting my Book Club''s holiday get together tonight at my cottage and of course it is a snow storm so trying to get groceries done, appetizers prepped, decor organized etc. today is nutty. I love holiday entertaining, but it''s so much harder now with Co. I left everything to the last min cuz we were out of town this weekend and now i am paying for it.

But, just had to pop in to say the new pictures are great and i will catch up later. Hope everyone is well.

35.gif

iluv, what kind of surgery are you getting? Hope you are okay.

Burk, TRU has the house on sale for $64.99. I had a 15% BRU coupon and Tessa''s $5 b-day card they send so I got it for just over $50. Not bad.

Jas12 good luck with your book club.

Off to Take T to the pedi for her booster shots. Poor thing.

Burk Such a small world story - my FIL will talk to you for hours about Chances R. I guess it is open 24/7. I am excited about the MB too. Probably sometime before xmas. Looking forward to T pics in her babylegs.

Tacori Poor Tessa
39.gif

My eye surgery is to correct a muscle insufficiency. My eyes have trouble converging, and I have dbl vision. Hopefully this will correct it.

One more thing. I was doing some holiday shopping and I came across these ridiculously silly snowball shooters. You pack it with snow and it makes snowballs and then you shoot them. (Totally unPC I know) but you''ll have to forgive me b/c I bought 4 of them for my family. They are a riot. My kids will LOVE
30.gif
them.
(just don''t tell my SIL - you know- the one who disapproves of chocolate milk

Kinda strange. We were in the waiting room FOREVER and I let Tessa play with the toys. I always thought (and still imagine the germs) I wouldn''t but let''s face it. She is not easy to control
2.gif
Anyways she was playing and out of NO WHERE this little girl (maybe 6) came and swooped down and started kissing Tessa''s face
23.gif
32.gif
38.gif
I was SPEECHLESS and Tessa looked so confused. The mom was checking in. What would you guys have done? I didn''t say anything. It was over before I knew what was going on but that is weird right?

Tessa was upset after her shots and threw herself on the table (drama) it was then she noticed her giddy giddy clip and she stopped crying to play with it.
33.gif
She is so funny. Even the nurse was laughing.

iluv, hope your surgery goes well and corrects the problem! Luckily the eyes heal very quickly.

Tacori
I used to hate when stuff like that happened!
Thanks for your good wishes! How is your DH?

tacori, that is kinda strange. I have a 6 year old and she wouldn''t kiss a baby she didn''t know...seems weird to me. If someone did that to Jake I''d probably say something like "oh please don''t touch or kiss his face, he''s been sick or has a runny nose"

Just wanted to check in and say hi to everyone! I''m about a million pages behind so I''ve got NO clue what''s going on with you all

My news: Gabie and Katelyn are ONE!!!! Their birthday was Friday, and we had their Gymboree party yesterday - it *rocked*!! It was so much fun for all the little kiddies, and we got some supercute photos that of course I am going to share with you now ...

Family shot! :)

Ella: How could your adorable twins be one already?? Where has the time gone? They are so darn adorable. Two cutie pies. They are beautiful little toddlers now. I am glad they had a wonderful first birthday party.

Linda

Aw Mrs Salvo, Jake is darling with his little Santa Hat on. He is such a handsome little boy. Love that he is sitting next to his teddy bear
30.gif

I''m trying to catch up, but wanted to give Tacori a laugh re: juice/our parent''s generation.

My mom used to give me licorice ropes to chew on while teething (as a baby! Hullo! choking hazard?), and they used to give us "jello water" (OMG) to drink as babies.

Yes. Jello. Water. So basically sugar crap in a bottle. She started me on solids at 6 weeks! Its in my baby book! I was damn near eating rib eye before I cut a tooth! (Ok that''s a wee exaggerated but you KWIM).

It is soooo different now. I avoid juice with my kids. I don''t even buy it, except cranberry and I always mix it with 3/4 glass plain sparkling water. They both love to drink water. Oh and D still has a bottle & Jake had his till he was 20 months. I don''t care really. They both liked cups (D is great with a sippy or straw cup, but likes her "nana" to have milk in it) but loved those bottles.

I did a good job avoiding sugary snacks with Jake but Delaney is a lost cause. Anything her brother, dad, or I have--she wants. And she''s a TERROR if she doesn''t get it.

Her name means Dark Challenger. I''m so screwed. Good thing I don''t keep much by the way of processed food in my house.

Anyway...you have great instincts, and as hard as it is, don''t let her get to you. Smile and nod. Don''t say a word if you can get away with it.
9.gif

So much to catch up. I just need to vent tonight.

I am so tired because this past Sat, Sun and Mon, M had been waking up every 2 hours. She woke up crying or fussing. I offered her the breasts, and she nursed on Sat and Sun. On Sat, I ended up bringing her in bed with me since SIL was in town and staying in M''s room. DH came home on Sun, so he was the one who got up to get M and bring her to me to nurse. And I got to rest a little more on Sun night. DH was able to comfort her and get her to sleep Mon night w/o waking me up to nurse her. Needless to say, I am a little tired from the lack of sleep. I am not sure if she had a growth spurt or if she doesn''t like SIL in her room or what. But SIL went home today, so hopefully it''ll be better tonight. If it doesn''t, at least I can sleep in her room and not have to walk to her room. She is asleep right now, so I am crossing my fingers.

And then this lady at my work keeps telling me I have to start solids with M when I told her that M had been waking up to nurse. I told her that my pedi said no solids until 6 months, and she kept saying that you are always supposed to start at 4 months. She went on to say how they need the nutrients from solids. Blah Blah Blah. She had her kids 18 years ago. Her info are so outdated. I was a little annoyed, but I just let her say whatever. And then she also said I was pale and doesn''t look well. I said it''s probably b/c I don''t have enough sleep, but she insisted that it''s because I am not eating enough. Can''t she just leave me alone? sigh.

for getting back to your pre-preggo weight.
Wow, you ladies (QT, jackiejas, curly and you) are so good about dropping those baby weights.
I still have a few more pounds on me
41.gif
, but I''m okay with them.
It''s the 20wk baby bump that I''m not okay with :P

Sorry about the clogs X(
Hope the hard lump is nothing serious.

Burk
Can''t wait to see Tayva with her new clip and leggings.
Those babylegs are really cute. They''ll look darling on Tayva with her long legs.

snlee, you have my wholehearted sympathy about the clogs. You poor thing, I hope they ease off asap. Miserable. The things we put up with for our babies!

Ella, look at your gorgeous grown up twins! They get more adorable in every pic. They are such sweet little people!

MrsS, I look forward to the monthly Jake With Teddy photos, so much fun to see him grow. He''s going to break hearts one day!

Tacori, that is kinda weird, but much the same thing happened to us at Amelia''s 6 month appointment. There was a little boy out of control in the waiting room and he kept coming up to Amelia (she was asleep in her carseat) and trying to poke at her with a toy he was holding and shouting "want to cuddle". His mother was sort of twittering in the background "don''t do that honey, leave the baby" and he was totally ignoring her. I kept moving Amelia out of his reach and he kept climbing on stuff (and on ME at one point) to get to her. I eventually saw red mist and took the toy from the child and the child from the seat next to my baby and put them both in a playpen in the corner. Ok, I''m a bad person but he was going to hurt her and his mom wasn''t in the least bit bothered. DH took pity on the little boy and played with him for a while. His mother just sat and watched! A complete stranger lifted her child and another stranger played with him and she didn''t react. WTH??

Q, I''m so sorry this person is being so intrusive. Last thing you need. Well, there''s plenty of free advice out there, for sure! I don''t know why people feel the need to tell us how to do it right!

Gotta run, crying baby!

Jen

Argh! Someone kill me!

With two days to go until the big flight, Amelia is now sick! Not too bad, but a pretty gushing runny nose. On top of that, TGuy who is on a business trip and should be flying home today got his flight cancelled. They put him on another one with no seat assignment though. And it''s probably one of the last flights out of Chicago (his connecting) so if he misses that one, we have to pray he makes it home tomorrow. Bah!

OK, will be back later to post something more happy.

Tgal: my ped prescribes benadryl for stuffy noses AND flying babies...get some & dose her 45 mins before the flight to dry up her nose. (and knock her out)

also saline solution & nose bulb syringe.

Thanks Diver. She hates the bulb syringe. It gets her screaming and crying like nothing else can. I''m hesitant on the baby benadryl...my ped says to try it if I feel inclined but in some babies it has the opposite effect and makes them hyper.

I dunno...drugs scare me - not sure if I like the idea of knocking the kid out, but I am sure I will be wishing I did come Friday night.

Iluv~Good luck with your eye surgery!!

Tgal~I tried benadryl with Tayva a while back when she was soooo miserable and couldn''t sleep as a last resort-turns out it has absolutely NO effect on her. My pedi said 1 tsp-not sure if that''s what others have used. All I read lately is no drugs for kids so I''m scared to do anything buy saline. Hope Amelia gets to feeling better. Do you have a humidifier?

Tacori~So weird about the kisses from a stranger!! I witness something similar happen to a stranger and her baby while I was out Christmas shopping last weekend without T. I was mortified, even though it wasn''t my baby!! The mom handled it like a champ-as it sounds you did!

The weirdest thing happened last night during T''s bath-as I was washing her hair she started crying hysterically so I took her out and she was still a crying mess. I dried her off and cuddled only to realize that her left eye was red and swollen! We use an organic baby body wash/shampoo and have never had an issue. Not sure if she accidentally got a large amount in her eye somehow or what the deal was but she was clingy and not herself with a super red eye the rest of the night. Seemed fine this morning.

lili~I will post pics asap! The baby legs are so darn cute!!

QT~Sorry M hasn''t been sleeping well. Hope you get some well-needed rest and are able to steer clear of that obnoxious gal you work with!!

tgal- I dont'' like to use drugs either but have used the benadryl for Jake a few weeks ago for his runny nose/watery eyes etc. I only used it right before his nap or at night just to help him rest, which it did. he wasn''t hyper at all. If you do think you might try it, try it today and see how she reacts and then just save it for the flight if you think you need it. I''ve had a very bad experience flying with a cold that ended with a popped eardrum and it was very painful. At least consider giving her a little something to help dry her out while your are flying if she''s still gushing by then. A humidifier is also great if you''ve got one. We just bought a second one b/c I run one in my girls room and needed one for Jake''s.
