Lor, either that or a clean freak. I could HEAR her sniffing. She was just walking around with the wipes up to her nose. She loved them. It was so strange. Another really weird thing happened last night. I had just put T to bed (maybe 20 mins) and all of the sudden I heard her start to giggle in the monitor. Strange (and we were home alone). Then the giggle turned into a full out laugh fest. I kept wondering what was SOOO funny?!? Times like that I wish I had a video monitor.
1.gif
Baby giggles are the best aren''t they???
face23.gif
I love the smell of baby wipes also, well you will smile but I have recently found this new perfume which smells like a cross between baby powder and face power, it is gorgeous! I bet Miss T would love it!
30.gif

Tgal~So glad your trip is going smoothly. We all knew Amelia would be a hit!
9.gif

QT~Thanks!

jas~Thanks! Yay for almost crawling! I'm right there with ya in baby fever land!! My SIL had a baby yesterday and I melted the second I got him in my arms. I have always been a kid/baby person and I was the girl who had dolls until she was 13 so I guess there's no surprise I'm ready to have more babies! Oh, and Tayva has major attitude at times. Worse when she's tired. She's been an absolute peach in her carseat...hates being strapped down and not being able to see me.
16.gif

puffy~Cute pics!! His cake was amazing!! Looks like he had a great time!!

msf~You always post the most adorable pictures!!!! So cute that little man of yours is. Hope you are able to pop in here a little more often!
tacori~Too funny Tessa was laughing in her crib!! There have been a few times I've wished I had the video monitor. T plays before she goes to sleep and I'll hear her talking and laughing. So funny.

Speaking of babies in their cribs, this morning Tayva grabbed the monitor base thing off her end table and had it in her crib and was playing with it. When I went in there she stood up and handed it to me.
37.gif

Oh, and do any of you read one of the "Monkey's in the Bed" books? We read it to Tayva often and when I read the part "mamma called the doctor and the doctor said no more monkeys jumping in the bed" I always shake my finger. Now when I get to that part T points her finger and starts shaking it. Sooo funny.

Puffy--fantastic pics! That cake looks amazing! I wouldn't have wanted to cut it. Looks like the party was a great success!

MrsF--i could only imagine how busy saks would be this time of year! Those are gorgeous pictures. I always think it looks so neat to see xmas pics on the beach b/c i live in the icy north. Ian's eyes are so blue in those shots--they match the ocean. What a handsome santa.

Tacori--Charlie wants 5 kids and i told him NO WAY (i just can't be pregnant that many times and it would be too expensive. I want to travel with the fam) so we've recently landed on the number 3. I considered what it would be like to split my time b/w two young kids, it's hard to imagine when u only have one, but obviously it's possible and for me, i like the idea of them close in age. I totally hear ya on wanting to enjoy having your body back. A friend of mine (who is TTC her second right now and just got back into great shape) and I were talking the other day and we were saying"what's the point" we worked our butts off, just to pack it on again. But i guess that is better than gaining weight on top of weight?
So cute that T was giggling in her crib. Do you think she was dreaming or chatting it up with a toy maybe? Co will sometimes giggle or talk gibberish to to characters on his mobile and i just WISH i knew what he was thinking. SO funny.

Tgal-- Ahh, so sweet that Tguy is just gushing about Amelia. Must be nice for you guys to spend some time together as a family. Probably the first time since she was born that you guys have spent several days all together, no? So funny that Ame won't put stuff in her mouth. She is strong willed in her own distinct way.Co was just like her and was content to just lay on his back and stare at the lights ( i complained he was lazy too), it's only within the past 2 weeks or so that he has really got moving. Don't know what made him decide that he should start crawling. I certainly didn't encourage it. I wish Co had some of A's mellowness. The temper is out of control. He threw a huge fit in Costco when i took away some item i snagged from a shelf to keep him occupied (no intention of buying it--i just take things off shelves in stores for him to play with
15.gif
) I was suddenly one of *those* moms that had a kid they couldn't control and everyone was looking at me. I am so dead when the terrible twos hit!
Okay, i think that made my baby fever go down
2.gif
If you would have asked me if i wanted another kid 5 months ago, the answer would be a big, fat NO. Oh what a month of decent sleep can do.
Now lili is the one that is truly nuts. She's talking kid # 2 and Jadie isn't even STTN yet
6.gif

Burk--i 'played' dolls till i was 13 too --lol. I totally think Tayva is ready for a brother or sister
2.gif
. You must *really* be a baby person b/c you did not have an easy go with T. You've been thru it all already. How mayn kids do you and DH want?
Speaking of kids, are the students going nutty ? I went to visit my class yesterday and holiday fever has set it at our high school. it was *loud* in the hallways!

Jas~Yea, T had it rough. I guess part of me thinks that we've been through it all so whatever happens with the next one, we'll be able to take it in stride, ya know? I would like 4 kids, DH wants 2 so we'll see what happens after number 2. I think we'll probably settle at 3 but who knows. As for kids at school, ours are nuts. The weather has been yucky (first snow storm of the year) so that just adds to it. There's supposed to be a huge ice storm coming through tomorrow so all the teachers are praying for a snow day Friday!
41.gif
That trip to school probably didn't make you want to go back to work, did it!?!?
16.gif

Lor, oh what is it called? She probably would sniff my neck all day!

Burk, that is so funny (with the finger shaking). Babies really do absorb it all. Tessa and I play a game where we shake our heads at each other. So funny.

Jas12, I have no idea if she was playing or what. It sounded like someone was tickling her (which was impossible unless she was doing it to herself). Co sounds a lot like Tessa. You are right, we ARE in trouble
2.gif
She is anything but mellow.

qt thanks! the cake was a hit and it was YUMMY! glad to hear you got the high chair you wanted.

tacori thanks. heehee, the cake looked much nicer than my wedding cake that is for sure. a one year old...it''s still kinda crazy to me. tessa sounds adorable! brady does that exact same thing all the time, but he takes anything he can get his hands on and puts it to his nose and takes a big fat whiff of it and starts laughing. it''s cute, but once it''s something that is totally gross, it''s not so cute anymore. he just did it to some socks he got out of the hamper and he got of his hamper and he was LOVING life. weirdo!!

burk thanks. i LOVE the avatar of T. what a cutie!! i know exactly what book you are talking about. B loves that book also. he kinda does a dance everytime i read it to him.

jas12 thanks. but if we didn''t cut the cake, i couldn''t have eaten like 5 slices, yes i had 5 slices of cake. B has temper tantrums all the time. every kid is different, so i would love to tell you that it''ll get better, but with B obviously it hasn''t. it''s gotten to the point where i let him cry if he has a tantrum at home and he just balls his eyes out and after i go try to comfort him, he just pushes me away and grunts at me in this funny voice. but hopefully with Co, it''ll get better.

lili i love that new pic of J. she is such a pretty little one!!

you guys have got to stop the baby fever around here. i am SO ready for one, but i''m not sure DH is. but there are times where i am going crazy with B and i think that there is no way i even want another one or i am so thankful that i am not preggo with another one yet.

Tacori~it''s just so crazy what they pick up on! I''m sure you''re seeing it even more now that Tessa is older. Love it.

Puffy~That''s funny that B does a dance to the book! It one of T''s favorites. Tayva has started throwing little tantrums. I try to remind myself about these tantrums so that I can curb my desire to have another one. Doesn''t work as well as I''d like!

Janine~Glad to hear Chloe''s head is getting better. On the topic of reflux-I think I could write a book at this point I''ve researched so much.
41.gif
Tayva never really spit up a ton, she never had blood in her stools or hives, which are common things for allergies. Doctors can do an upper GI to test for reflux but usually they skip that (hard on the baby) and just prescribe an antacid (Tayva is on a baby version of prilosec) and just see if there is improvement. For us, I just knew something was wrong because she would cry and be inconsolable almost every evening and she would arch her back and seemed just so uncomfortable. I have been around a lot of babies and her behavior wasn’t “normal baby behavior.” I kept asking questions with our pedi and he kept saying ''babies cry'' until she was about 10 weeks old and she got to the point where she was pretty much refusing to eat and after 2 weeks of eating a maximum of 10 oz a day, switching formulas 3 times, and inconsolable crying every night my pedi was so perplexed he sent us to the ER with her and the ER doc consulted with my doctor and they decided to treat her for reflux. We thenended up taking T to an allergist as well as a pedi-GI doctor who got the med doses right along with helping us find the formula she''s on now. Reflux typically goes hand-in-hand with food allergies and intolerances. People often use the terms ''allergy'' and ''intollerance'' as one in the same but they''re not. Intolerances are foods that the baby doesn''t ''tolerate'' well (hard time digesting, acids created, ect) early in life and the baby usually grows out of these intolerances between ages 1 and 2. We found out by trial and error that Tayva was intolerant to milk, soy and corn (all very common). By putting her on a formula that milk and soy that was broke down well and no corn along with the prilosec she became a different baby! If you think Chloe may have some kind of tummy problems, I would recommend start by trying her on either Similac Alimentum or Enfamil Nutramigen formula. If she is intolerant to milk or soy (the two most common) being on either of these formulas will probably help within a week. Hope this helps! If you have any questions, let me know!

Thanks Burk! Wow, you went through a lot, but it must''ve been such a relief to have answers. I get the feeling Chloe is not allergic, but possibly intolerant--or at the very least very gassy). Some days aren''t so bad (like yesterday), but then it comes back in waves. I keep getting told it''s just fussiness, but I don''t see how a baby can get so fussy mid bottle! (she will suddenly kick her legs out and scream). Once in awhile it''s in her sleep. Other times she seems to reject the bottle, or suck it but then cry out (big cries!) and then spit/dribble the milk out. So I have a feeling she doesn''t eat as much as other babies, but since she had been gaining weight, the doctor wasn''t concerned. I wonder if she is still gaining weight though, because the issues seem to have started about 2 weeks ago. I started giving her a few bottles a day of Gentlease Lipil (broken down proteins and reduced lactose), but am also nervous to switch formulas on her too often. Thanks for the tips though, and I''ll keep you posted :)

puffy and msf- love the pics, I can''t believe how big your "babies" are. they look more like little kids than babies...so cute though!!

burk and jas12- nothing wrong with having the baby itch. I always wanted 3 and I will admit after 2 only 20 months apart I wasn''t sure I wanted the 3rd but I always felt like someone was missing from our family. we''d be sitting at the table or at the pool having a snack and I just felt there should be one more. I love having the 3, but I grew up in a family with 3 kids so I think that is why it just seemed right to me. I''m jealous of the excitement you get when there is going to be a new baby...Just not so much to do it again
9.gif

Not much new with us. jake is into everything and a monkey boy. He pulls himself up on anything he can. I caught him this morning kneeling on the top of his box of blocks with both hands on he toy crate trying to climb up into it
6.gif

tgal- i hope your having a good time. I think its sweet tguy wants to talk about Amelia to his parents although I agree baby talk all the time can get boring.

janine~Yea, it's been a crazy road but in the end Tayva is doing great! She's such a fun, happy, easy baby now (minus the new tantrum phase!
41.gif
) Sounds to me if Chloe's unhappy during feedings like you're describing and gassy that she may be intolerant to something. We also tried Gentlease (I hated constantly changing formulas, too. Our basement is like a formula factory!). It didn't work for Tayva, but hopefully it'll work for Chloe! Our pedi GI doctor says you should give new formula a good week and if you don't see improvements, to try a new one. Hoping the gentlease is the answer for Chloe!!

mrss~I also had 3 in my family so that may be why I want 3. DH had 2 so probably why he wants 2. I just feel like 2 wouldn''t be enough. Kind of like you said, like someone would be missing. We''ll see what happens!

I know, its so sad. I want him to stay a baby, because I''m certainly not ready to have another one! But its too late for that. He is definitely a big kid now!

Thanks for the compliments, I think we have a group of super cute kiddos on here!

Ian throws tantrums. He has officially learned what he wants and what he doesnt. He has learned to scream and yell and through himself on the floor if he doesnt get his way. Luckily he is pretty mellow so it doesnt happen to often, usually over not wanting to eat, or wanting to climb the stairs when we have the gate up! Agggh...need to do some reading before we get into the tantrums of the 2''s!

Burk
It''s interesting to see how your baby''s look changes everyday huh?
One day, she''s like daddy and the next she''s more like mommy.

That''s too bad about Tayva''s allergy to milk, soy and corn.
Will she grow out of them later, do you know?

QT
Wow, 9 pairs of babylegs?
You did go crazy with them huh?
Yeah, the second tooth usually come in pretty close to the first one.
Would love to see her toothy grin.

Tacori
Sorry forgot to say yay for fitting into your pre-preggo pants
36.gif
36.gif

Anyway, had to laugh at the image of Tessa sniffing the wipes.
I think you best put away your expensive perfumes
41.gif

Jas12
Haha, same here with the baby fever. And I am nuts thinking about TTC when J is not even STTN.
But hey, I''m probably going to be up with my preggo bathroom visits anyway.

And yay for CO being *so close* to crawling. Like you predicted, he''ll be crawling by Xmas.
Wasn''t it nice when he wasn''t so mobile?
Wait till he starts pulling himself up and being intrigue by everything else except his toys
41.gif

I hear you on the attitude. J is the same way
38.gif

It''s been more than a month and I don''t see an improvement, so I don''t know if that''s a phase thing
41.gif

I think it''s about time we introduce some good old fashion spanking
41.gif

TGal
Hehe, I don''t think Amelia is lazy.
I think she''s smart. She knows that she can have mommy and daddy gets stuff for her, so why the need to break into a sweat :)
That''s so cute that TGuy is so enamored with A and enjoyed talking about his little baby
5.gif

puffy
Awweee...you and Brady are so cute in that picture.
I can definitely see you in him.
NICE cake! I have to say that it is way fancier than my wedding cake.
I love that last picture of brady.
It''s neat how you were able to capture the 1 (from the guy''s shirt) hovering above Brady''s head.

MsF
Thanks
5.gif
My auntie got her that scarf thingy from Chinatown, so I don''t know where in the American stores you can get them.
Awesome pictures of your handsome little man. Such a cute picture of him in his santa suit at the beach.

Teint de Neige by Lorenzo Villoresi - this translates to Colour of Snow and this stuff is gorgeous!!

Here is a review for you!

FYI...

Good Morning America just announced a recall to the Majestic high char from Evenflo(w?). Apparently parts can become loose. It was a brief segment, so I don''t have more info.

Lili--many of us have been infected with "the fever'' lol. I just can''t believe you even have the engery to humor that thought. It''s only since i have been sleeping regularly that i have considered it (but not until the summer!). We are *still* obsessed with sleep. THis morning charlie got up and the first things he said to be were "did Cohen sleep the whole night" (yes) and then, to me, "did you sleep" (yep). I think he was asking cuz at midnight last night i announced that i was going to walmart to get stocking stuffers--i was wired from something, but he talked me down!
Yes, i miss the ''blob'' stage. But he is so much more fun now. Is J showing signs of walking yet? My sister walked at 8.5 months and i look at Cohen and think that is unbelievable, but i know little J is close!

Burk--hoping for that snow day for you! (we''ve had about 4 here so far so the teachers have had a couple relaxing days) Does your school close? Our schools don''t close unless it is a catastrophe outside, but it is till nice to have 3/4 of the bused kids absent
3.gif

Off to make peanut butter fudge (yes, it''s only 9 am) i am behind in my baking.

Jas12~They do close school some times. Rarely, but we're supposed to get an ice storm so driving conditions will be super dangerous so that's why we're thinking we have a chance of school canceled. I shouldn't get my hopes up, though. Have a good day of baking! Wish I was home baking, not dealing with squirly middle schoolers!

Zoe~Thanks for posting that!! I have the majestic high chair!!
39.gif

If any of you have it too, they list the model numbers that are recalled here: http://safety.evenflo.com/cs/sc/cssc99_RD.phtml?rid=EFR22&src=WEB

lili~It really is crazy how much they change. I was watching videos of her when she was like a couple days old last night and she doesn't even look like the same baby. She is already outgrowing her allergies.
36.gif
Our pedi GI doc wants us to trial her on whole milk on her first birthday and see how she does. I really hope her little belly can handle it!

Craziest thing happened last night: Tayva basically slept from 4:45pm-7:45am!!!! She doesn't nap as well as she should at daycare (she is just soooo busy) so she must have been soooo tired. I woke her up from 8-8:30 to feed her and put her pj's on but she went right back down. I was sad because I barely got to see her, but I have a two week break coming up so I'll get to spend plenty of time with her.

burk, we''re in the path of the Ice storm too with a winter storm warning starting later this evening. I teach swimming lessons until 8:00 and just hope the weather will hold off until I can get home
14.gif
I was also planning on leaving tomorrow to drive back to TN but if the roads are covered with ice, we''ll have to postpone the departure time and since I''m driving I really like to make the trip in the daylight. I hate driving after dark...yes, I''m an old lady now. I wouldn''t mind if they canceled school but do feel bad for the kids who''s Holiday parties are all scheduled for tomorrow morning.

Mrss~I don't blame you one bit for wanting to drive in daylight! I can handle snow, but ice is scary! It would be sad for the little ones to miss their holiday parties. I obviously would appreciate a day off for myself but I also worry in our district (6 high schools and I think 12000 students) about teenagers driving in these types of conditions. SCARY!! Hopefully it holds off until you're home safe from swim lessons!

Hi everyone! I''m so sorry that I''m so far behind! We''re at t-minus 13 days until the wedding and I just finished finals and we''re getting ready to move...

Speaking of moving, the latest big news is that we''re moving to Memphis, TN at the end of January. It''s farther away than I would like, but with the way the economy is, I can''t be terribly choosy... So, is anyone familiar with that area? What areas should I be looking at as far as residence? Where should I avoid? Schools? Pediatricians? Help? Please? Anyone?

Burk -- you''re welcome! I''m sorry that I don''t have more info. to share. I''m assuming if you did a google search, you''d be able to find more details.

MissPinky -- I''m not familiar with TN, but my husband and I are thinking of relocating in the future (and TN is a place that my husband is sort of interested in). I found this website to be very helpful. It''s called City-data.com and you can search for info by state, etc. Here''s a link to their forum (just click on the state you want):

http://www.city-data.com/forum/

puffy, great pictures! B''s cake looked amazing! It''s nicer than my wedding cake! lol at B sniffing dirty socks!

MsF, good to see you again. Love the pictures of Ian! He''s so big and handsome!

Tacori, lol at T sniffing wipes and awww at baby giggles and laughs. So cute!!! Now that I''ve got the smiles, I can''t wait for D to start laughing!

MrsS, hope the weather cooperates. Drive carefully.

misspinky, wow you have a lot of exciting things going on! Congrats and good luck.

D has been cooing a lot more and it''s so fun baby talking with him! And about a week ago he started social smiling!
36.gif
Seeing those smiles melt my heart!
30.gif
I was waiting for it for so long. It makes up for the tough nights.

snlee thanks. aren''t the social smiles the best?! they totally make up for all those sleepless nights. and things only get better and more fun from here! just wait until he starts laughing ort he first time he says "mama." that i promise you will really met your heart! is he sleeping better now that he is co-sleeping with you guys?
b sniffing dirty socks is pretty disgusting! but what does he know. he tries to put his socks over his hands too which is pretty funny. we play with puppets a lot so i am assuming that is where he gets it from.

sorry to hear about all the snow storms. hope all the mommies and babies stay safe.

MrsS
Sounds like Jake is getting pretty mobile these days.
Better get those gates up.
Hehe, I''m so good about telling people, yet haven''t done so myself.
I better do that this weekend before some serious accidents occur.
J gave both of us a scare the other day when she climbed up the stairs herself
32.gif

Her daddy was a bit engrossed with his game and had his eyes off her for a minute.
Next thing he knows, she was up 10 steps trying to get to me upstairs.

Jas12
Perhaps it''s my lack of sleep who''s talking
2.gif

I probably would wait a bit, but unfortunately, time is not on my side
8.gif

That''s so cute Charlie wants 5 kids. Not many men want that many kids.
Summer is not too far away. Our babies will be one with the blink of an eye.
So are you guys going to find out w/ the second then?
We''ll probably be surprised w/ the second :P

we''ll i made it home b/f the ice hit. the news is saying it should start in about an hour or so, so we''ll see.

mspinky, I don''t know memphis well at all. My SIL lives there though and I would be happy to ask her what her opinion is on some of your questions. If you were moving to nashville then I could give you more info that you''d ever want. good luck with the move. I love TN and miss it terribly. My SIL also has always lived in the MW and they moved to memphis 3 years ago and she totally loves it there.

lili- my sister has stairs at her house and I''ve already told her to put up the gate. We don''t have stairs but I don''t think Jake would have a problem at all climbing them giving the opportunity.

Jas12
The ''blob'' stage is easy on us (well maybe for you since when J was at the blob stage, she wanted to be helf upright all the time),
but the crawling stage is fun. I love it when they crawl to you when you call them. Or when they crawl and then stop and sit to look around.
So cute.

Wow, 8.5 months and walking? That''s pretty early. I don''t think J will be walking by then, Maybe next year. She does love to walk though.
Likes to have me hold both her hands and walk her across the room. Fortunately, I''m a shortie, so it''s not too hard on my back
9.gif

misspinky~When's your wedding date? My sisters is January 3rd and it's not even my wedding and I'm getting stressed so I'm sure you're busy busy! I've never been to Memphis. Congrats on the job!

snlee~YAY for social smiles!! They make it all worth it.

mrss~Glad you made it home before the ice hit! I'm home from school today-it got pretty slick. How did the weather turn out in your area?

lili~J found the stairs, huh?!?
41.gif
T was able to climb them early (probably because she's so tall) but just recently decided she liked it.
20.gif
We don't have gates but I can shut doors (old house with lots of rooms) so she can't get to them. T was cruising at 7.5 months and we thought she'd be an early crawler (my brother, sister and I all crawled at 9 months) but she just started taking steps in the past two weeks. She is too busy and crawls too fast she doesn't want to be bothered by walking. I wonder if J will be the same way?

Well, the ice storm hit and it wasn't quite as bad as they were predicted but they called off school so I'm home!
36.gif
Gotta get the rest of the presents wrapped and cookies baked.
