msb!!
Good to see you again.
How is little (or not so little anymore :) K doing?
Hehe, I see you are ready for him to have a little brother or sister huh?
How exciting.....March is just around the corner like Puffy said.
Maybe you and Burk will be preggo twins
41.gif

Puffy
Glad to hear that you are on the mend.
I know about those nasty cough...had them myself a month back.
Coughed so much that my side hurt.
J is doing good. Thanks for asking. Looks like she''s getting over this cold finally.
Let''s just hope she doesn''t catch another one when she goes back to daycare Tuesday
32.gif

Hehe, just the good tasting ones like tylenol and the antibiotics for the ear infection.
I had given her Nystatin a while back for her candida (sp?) and it was a mess!
She cried bloody murder and was gurgling and spitting the yellow sticky stuff everywhere.

NF
Awweee...look at your wee little boys!
Soooo cute! Max looks like his enjoying himself on the mat.

Tacori
August is a long time away.
At the rate you are going with your zumba classes and gym, you''ll be back to your old self in no time.
Bummer about the new computer. Let''s hope the next exchange is the final exchange.

Bobo
I second Tacori''s request for more pictures of little B, especially those from his bday!

msb
Pictures of your little prince are much appreciated too

Pave
What a sweet BFF you''ve got

Re: professional pictures. You can take them at any age. The newborn age (birth to 2 months) is oh so precious when they are so teeny tiny.
Most like to take pictures of the babies at 15 wks or so because that''s when they can hold their head up and are posable I suppose.

Speaking of professional picture, I just have to post this hospital pix of my little nephew

Here's one of J at around 10 months.
Can't really see her face, but it shows what a rugrat she is.
She climbed into the swing herself and started swinging.
I'll have to take that thing apart cuz she already fell off it twice while standing on it to reach for the mobile!

Puffy/lili: hey ladies!! yeah i know..i can''t believe how close it is when we will plan on TTC!!! but my kid is growing up so fast and i miss having a tiny baby in my arms ..maybe burk and i will be twin preggos! =)

Little B is so cute.
Happy Belated 1 yr old Birthday!
How much weight does your pedi expect little B to gain this month?

puffy
Glad you got ur voice back.

lili
The last few days I''ve been home, and I only let M takes two naps a day. So she''s been sleeping til 7am. I don''t know if it''ll continue on Tues when I go back to work.
When will you be TTC? in April?
Your nephew''s hospital pic looks very nice. J is adorable as usual.

NF
Hope the boys go back to their sleep routine soon.
You are only two months PP; you will lose the weights.
Look like the boys are having fun in the pic. Is that a uglydoll?

msb700
Great to hear from you.
K is so handsome. He is so tall.
Good luck TTC.

Tacori
Sounds like Tessa has a blast with your mom.
Sorry about your laptop.
Oh DH and I always think we gain weights when my parents visit. We eat out a lot when they are in town.

pave
Things are a little better this weekend with M. Thanks for asking.
That''s nice of your BFF to come help.

Oh I think M was waking up b/c of teething. I had been checking her gum everyday since the first day of her waking up early, but her gum was not swollen and I couldn''t feel any teeth. Well today we went to visit SIL, and I noticed blood on her bib. So DH and I pulled open her lips, and saw her top gum swollen and covered in blood.
32.gif
I still didn''t see the tooth/teeth yet though. I''ll have to check again tomorrow.

lili, J is so cute~ look at her expression. You are in trouble...your nephew is so cute!

msb, look at ur handsome little guy, love his curls.

Qtiekiki, the pedi expect him to gained more than 1lb. We were surprised that he only gained 1lb. too.

We took little B to Goofy''s Kitchen on his birthday, here are some photos:

He was playing with this apple all night

surprisingly little B had a lot of fun that night, we thought he will be scared by the characters but he love it.

oh my god bobo!!!! i loooooooooove this picture!! he looks so happy ...very cute! =)

QT: sorry to hear about the bloody gums
7.gif
hopefully her tooth will pop out soon

Bobo~Those pics on his birthday are so stinking cute! As long as he''s eating, I wouldn''t be worried. Some babies are just small. He looks happy and well adjusted to me!
2.gif

lili~PJ day was awesome and it really worked out well because the rest of the weekend was crazy! Your nephew is so cute! I bet you''re loving cuddling with him! I did when my nephew was born! We have a pic almost identical to that one of J! We had to move the swing down to the basement because T would climb in it and get it to swing. I was always so worried she''d get hurt! We have squirrly little girls on our hands! I''m glad J doesn''t have croup although ear infections are no fun either! T likes meds, too. She sees the tylenol and opens up wide.
20.gif

msb~Good to *see* you! K is getting so big. Adorable pics. SO exciting about ttc! We''re not trying quite yet, be we''re not preventing either so I''m kind of hoping it''ll happen soon!
2.gif
It would be so fun having a preggo twin!

puffy~Glad you and B are recovering! Did you have a relaxing weekend? Were your parents around to help?

neat~I can''t believe the boys are 2 months! Such cuties! Sounds like you are plenty motivated to stay out of the "I''ve never lost the baby weight" camp!
16.gif

Tacori~So glad you had a great weekend with your mom! Sucks about your laptop, though! I think your jeans plan sounds great. Let me know what you end up with once you do your shopping! There was a point when I started refusing to try on BM dresses because it just made me want to cry. I was back to my "normal" by the time we wore them and you will be back to your normal by August for sure! You''re not working your butt off for nothing!!

pave~So glad your friend is coming to help you out! I didn''t have anyone to help me out after I was home from the hospital because DH went back to work and I so wish I would have! Snow days are great!!
41.gif
For pro pics we did 4 weeks, 3 months, 6 mos, 9 mos, and 1 year. You can do whatever you want!!

QT~Poor M! I hope those teeth pop through quick!

Tayva is still not back to feeling well. She''s still coughing, still has some wheezing here and there and still is pretty congested. So, I called her allergist and he wants to see her again today. Back to the doctor we go. Seriously, I should have my car in autopilot by now to the doctor''s offices!
20.gif
Hopefully he''ll figure out what the hold-up is.

Hi mommies! Things are busy here so I haven't been able to keep up with this thread the last few days but I did want to say hi bobo and msb! It's good to see you again. bobo, msb, lili, and NF, love the pictures! So adorable!

We are enjoying the holiday weekend. I am glad to have today off. My first day back to work is tomorrow. D has been pretty good except for at night, when we are trying to get him to sleep. He screams his head off and doesn't seem to want to sleep for the night until 11 or 12 no matter what time we try to put him down! Very frustrating! I have been getting him up earlier in the mornings too. Hopefully he gets used to this new schedule soon and sleeps earlier!

Question about nipples - which is better, born free stage 3 nipples or Y-cut? And when did your switch to these nipples? 6 months?

burk poor T!! back to the doc again? that poor girl really needs a break from all this. we are definitely feeling better. i''m about 90% better, thanks to my parents helping out a ton with B. but they had a good time with him and say that he was very well behaved. i hope the doc visit goes ok.

snlee awww, poor thing. is it that D is tired but he can''t soothe himself to sleep? where is he sleeping? have you been doing a consistent routine with him? good luck back at work tomorrow. sorry can''t help with the nipples, B never liked drinking from a bottle.

mrsb he is darling!!! the pic of him wearing dad''s shoes is so cute! he is growing up way too fast! just the other day, DH and i were talking about preschools for B and have a few appointments to go look at some of them this week. it''ll be a little bit farther down the road, but i can''t believe that we''re even talking about preschools!

neat your boys are so precious!! 2 months already? hope the sleep continues to get better.

tacori SUCKS about the laptop! hope you are able to get a new one soon, if you haven''t already.

bobo great pics of little B!! he is so cute and happy. B also loved the characters when we took him to disneyland. how is everything with little B?

pave how is tyler doing? hope you are having a good time with your BFF.

lili i LOVE that pic of J in your AV. where''s the bigger version? she is so pretty!!! i just told DH that if we had a girl, i want her to look like J, and showed him your AV. he thinks i am NUTS!! and your nephew...is SO PRECIOUS!!

qt awww, poor M!!! i hope the teeth come in quick!

hope everyone had a good weekend!!

pave, I only get to see my mom 3 or 4 times a year. We are close so that is difficult. Have a great time with your BFF! Tessa only had pro pics at 7 months. Honestly I do not like portrait places so rather take my own. Now that I have a nice camera it is even better. We have our own photo shoots.

lili, this is my third week of serious workouts and everyone says you gain and/or look bigger at first. So hopefully some of it will drop fast (soon). I went to Zumba again tonight and was early so did arm weights AND 20 mins of cardio. It has to be the HD since that is the only thing NOT new. Now I have to figure out when I can go. I think I''ll be stuck with T. Yikes. J is so adorable. She is a dare devil like T. They would be trouble together. Any steps yet?

msb, I am so happy for you. Take a pic with him wearing his backpack! How cute!

Q, teething is such a PITA and seems to last forever! Hopefully it will break through soon. T basically got her top 4 all at once poor girl. The laptop is annoying but those things happen. Bad luck I guess.

Bobo, he is so adorable!

Burk, I am so jealous you are tall. I am convinced some height would solve all my problems. Haha. My goal is May...she''ll be 18 months and I will be very pathetic if I can''t get it together by then. Sorry to hear T is sick.

snlee, I used the Y-cut when I would put RC in her bottle since it would make it thicker. Stage 3 is pretty fast just to warn you. Good luck tomorrow!

puffy, I haven''t made it over to the apple store yet and honestly don''t know when I will.

snlee~Good luck back at work! I agree with Tacori, the Y-cut ones really are only necessary if it''s thicker, like with RC.

puffy~So glad you and B are both back to feeling better. That''s great your parents were able to come and spend time with B while you rested!

Tacori~Being tall has its advantages.
5.gif
Sounds like you had a great workout tonight! May sounds like a very realistic goal. You only have 5 pounds to go, right? You''ll be looking hot in your bikini and I''ll be preggo...
6.gif
Sorry you''re going to have to make another trip to the mall to figure out the computer issues. That sucks.

Tayva has thrush.
15.gif
Good news is her lungs sounded way better so her asthma is actually improving (albeit not as much as we would like) and no ear infection or sinus infection. Meds for the thrust and more steriods to clear up the asthma and hopefully she''ll be back to 100% in a couple days. She has been such a happy baby regardless of how crappy she has to feel. Baby Vics has been our savior at night! Okay. Just got off the treadmill so I need to shower.

Thanks puffy, Tacori, and Burk!

So level 3 is for breast milk or formula and Y-cut is for RC or thick formula? I wasn''t sure if I could use Y-cut with breast milk. We bought it at BRU over the weekend when we didn''t see any level 3 nipples. We''ll exchange it for level 3 and get Y-cut later if we need it for RC.

Burk: so sorry to hear about everything that T is going thru
7.gif
this is so heartbreaking coz shes such a happy kid and to have to go thru this!....exciting news about TTC!! would be fun to have someone to share what im going thru..

Snlee: i would stick with stage 3 nipples..like the rest said, Y cut is good for something thicker/RC. like Tacori said, stage 3 is very fast! little K used to take about 8 mins or so on stage 2 to finish an 8 oz bottle..with the stage 3, he finished in about oh, 3 mins!?

Puffy: good luck with the preschool hunting....i can''t believe how quickly our kids are growing up...

Tacori: sux about the laptop
7.gif
but keep up the great work with the workouts!!!! I''m sure ull look great in no time...

snlee, I prefer Y cut over stage 3 although they both work fine. They seem to be about the same as far as flow when it comes to Amelia. I like the Y cut because in the past, when I gave Amelia her bottle, it would take a second or two for her to take it and the milk would come flying out of stage 3 creating a mess. Y cut was just neater and didn''t splay like stage 3.

Burk--thrush now? Sorry if i missed it, but did the inhalers cause it? I remember my mom always made me brush my teeth after taking the inhaler b/c it could cause yeast growth. Hope it clears quickly!

Tacori--glad u had fun with your mom and found some dresses. I agree with everyone else, May is a very realistic weight loss goal--you''ll look hot in that dress!!!

Msb--so good to hear from you, love the new pics, he looks so happy, esp on the slide. and that''s so exciting about TTC--yay!!

Lili--i can''t blieve that little munchkin climbed on her seat--she is hilarious. Her hair is SO long now, do u have to style it every day ??
I''ll post the recipe for those brownie hearts i made on the cuppie thread this week--sorry it is taking me so long

Bobo--Co isn''t gaining much weight either--he''s been around the same weight for many months now--despite eating SO much. I read an article on Kellymom.com about BF babies and it is typical that they gain a lot in the first few months but then the weight gain slows considerably--it''s not a cause for concern according to this, but the growth charts can make it seem like the kid is dropping too quickly in the charts b/c they are based on averages (breast and formula fed babies) and the growth patterns are different for these two feeding methods.
luv the pics--funny how kids can amuse themselves with something like an apple all night eh?! hehe

MrsS--don''t think i posted my excitement for you and your move! Yay! that is SO great!
...

Co has been pretty miserable lately-still working on teeth. It was Family Day here yesterday (holiday long weekend) and i had fun with the fam but i had to medicate the poor boy. I didn''t think i would get sick of hearing "momma" but Co has just been following me around the house whining "mummm maaaa" won''t go to anyone else and doesn''t know what he wants--poor pumpkin.

realized i didn''t post a 10 mos pic--i don''t have many. This was from this weekend--do u think i could get my grumpy pants to look at the camera? Not the best, at least his outfit is cute
3.gif
2.gif
Anyone know who Dan Levy is? He is Co''s style-idol
9.gif

coincardi.jpg

Thanks Snlee! We used the Born Free stage 3 nipples, we tried the switching at 6 months but little B keep getting choked on so we switched back and do the switching again when he was almost 9 month.

Thanks Puffy, everything is well with little B except his weight. I just hope he gain a little bit more by next appt. or I'm afraid the doctor will called the child service on us.

Burk, sorry to hear Tayva has Thrush. I hope Tayva gets all better soon.

Jas12, I feel much better "hearing" that I'm not the only one with baby not gaining much weight. I think all the calories he took in goes toward his height because his height is at 50%...but pedi is concern and want to see him back in a month... Co is so cute!!! love the outfit!

Thanks Tacori!

snlee~Hope you''re having a good first day back to work!
21.gif

msb~Thanks. She''s had it pretty rough. Thank goodness she handles it all pretty well. Are you TTC currently or still tossing the idea around? How old is K again?

Jas12~The nebulizer treatments can cause thrush. We''re very careful after the treatments and make her drink water afterward and she''s a big water drinker so she typically takes a pretty good drink....so we''re thinking it''s probably the combination of the nebulizer and the steroid she was on. Doc says it can cause thrush also. That pic of Co is so darn cute. He is quite the dresser I''d say. How are you coming along in deciding to stay part time or job share? I''d give my job away today in a heartbeat...one of THOSE days.
7.gif

Bobo~Thanks. Tayva is 95th percentile for height and only 45 percentile for weight. We feed her often (3 meals and 3 snacks...pedi says 6 meals a day) to try and put weight on her but she just doesn''t gain. Her GI pedi was concerned at first but we wrote a food journal and showed him everything she eats and he finally just realized that she''s probably always going to be tall and thin. Genetics. As long as B is eating and he''s happy and healthy his actual number on the scale is worthless IMO!
2.gif

snlee, she uses stage 3 now and if I hold the bottle upside down (or she does) the milk comes out. So it might be a tad fast for D. I am actually switching to the Nuby ones that came with her bottles. They are spill proof which is awesome b/c she throws her bottle around.

Burk, I probably have more than 5 lbs now...like 7. *blush* Not sure if it is from working out or bad diet. Probably both. That is crazy you might have an announcement for us soon! Eek! Sorry about T''s thrush. That girl CANNOT catch a break eh? Will you be a SAHM with two?

msb, thanks! I am planning to go tonight so hopefully T will behave!

TGal, DH likes the y-cut too. Did you see the JM ring in "show me the ring"?

Jas12, Co is SO cute! Love the outfit! I hope I look good. I mean the dresses didn''t look bad on my body now (I feel like those kinds are usually flattering). It was the changing in front of a huge mirror that was heartbreaking. But how I could not lose some weight if I continue to work out 4+ hours a week. So I am staying positive! I wish I dropped the weight like all of you lucky ladies did. My friend said I probably stopped BFing right before it would have flown off. Oh well. Not my choice. Sorry about the teething....evil teething!!!!

Bobo, is your pedi worried? Are you and your DH thin? I am sure it is just genetic. Tessa was really low weight but the high cal formula bulked her up. Now she has a beer belly and thunder thighs.
30.gif

Question...when can you put a pillow in the crib? Often times T balls up her blankets so I wonder if she would be more comfortable with one. My friend put on in her DD''s around 18 months. Does that seem right?

Tacori~Your body is probably just adjusting to working out as much as you have been...muscle weighs more than fat and when you''re working out more you need more calories/are more hungry. You''ll get those 7 lbs off in no time! I keep having these terrible feelings that we''ll be trying to get preggo this time forever. Maybe just because T was kind of a surprise and we obviously we''re trying. I''m actually kind of nervous. Weird. It''ll happen when it''s supposed to happen. I won''t be at home full time. I''ll still teach 11-3. As for the pillow in the crib...we have one in T''s crib (it''s just a little pillow). Not sure when it''s technically okay, but she loves her pillow and her bear and blanket all in there. She piles them all up to lay on. Silly girl.

Burk, I have been eating more. Evil cycle! So you will still work 11-3 when the second baby is born? Just curious. Sometimes I worry that it will take a long time to get preggo again since I got preggo so easily last night. Then I remind myself that is silly and not to worry UNTIL I have something to worry about. Where did you get the little pillow?

Tacori~yep, still will teach 11-3 when the next baby is born. It''s a pretty good deal...summers off, only 4 hours a day, I like to think I make a difference in kids'' lives, I have a reason to wear clothes aside from Pj''s and I have a paycheck which is extra money to shop with!
2.gif
9.gif
I have been telling myself not to stress until there''s something to stress about. Not worth it. If we don''t get preggo for another year it''s really not a big deal so I just need to relax and let nature take its course. T''s pillow is a throw pillow basically. She got it as a gift. I would assume Target and BBB would both have something that would work.

Burk--i hate *those* days! I just tell myself "the bell will ring" and i run for the parking lot when it does-ha
I am still waiting on word about the job share, to see if the approval goes thru, but i have decided to do it. I would work full days on mon, wed, and fri. Not bad!
I am already nervous about TTC # 2 as well--for the same reasons. Now that i actually want to plan the timing, it probably wont happen!

Tacori--i eat so much more when i increase my exercise, but that seems to go away once the body gets used to it. Believe me, I had to work at it too--i am at the gym pretty much every day so if it were not for that i am positive my weight would not have budged much. Luckily i luv going, but i don''t think i am one of those women where the baby weight just melts off. I wish. I am wondering what will happen when i wean. Some women report loosing the ''reserve'' but i''ve heard from others that they gained b/c they ate the same but were no longer needing xtra calories for milk production. I don''t want to diet so i am hoping i am not in that category!
*sigh* it is hard isn''t it.
I think if T rolls up her blanket, a pillow would be fine?

msb
Great pics of little K!
Love his cheeky smiles and of course those gorgeous curls!
Wow, preschool already? Where did the time go?
How cute about the bagpack and lunchbox..you got to post a picture of him w/ it when you have them.

Bobo
Eeee...look at how happy little B is!
So cute w/ his squint eyes look.
Glad that he was enjoying himself at Goofy's diner.
I wouldn't worry about little B's weight either -- J's been averaging 1/2 per month since 6 months.
At 17.5 lbs, she's got big thunder thighs and a pot belly already
