Ella
Miss K and Gabe are so big. Gabe is mini-daddy and Kate is mini-mommy. So adorable.

lili
J is so cute. She no long looks like a baby.

It''s been a tiring night last night. M is down with a cold; she has a fever (topping at 100.4 degree F) and runny nose. So she wasn''t sleeping well. I took the day off and stayed home. Hope she''ll get better by Sun b/c we planned to take her to the Cherry Blossom Festival.

Hi to everyone.
35.gif

lili awww, she is so pretty!! and i love that smile. how is she doing? girl, you better get the birthday hats!! no party is complete without them.

burk how is T doing? hope she is better and back to her normal self.

bobo how''s little B? hope he''s doing well and not falling over as much or slapping as much either.

jas12 sounds like you have Co''s party under control. good luck with the weaning. sounds like he did well with dropping the noon feeding, so hopefully he will be fine with the other feedings as well.

qt how is M? hope she is doing better.

have a great weekend everyone!!

Ella: OMG, the twins are adorable. They have grown so much. I love the family portrait.

Lili: Love the picture of J: What a happy little girl, love her hair, she is just adorable.

ella- so glad you checked in and came with pictures. I cannot believe how big your munchkins are! And the family picture is just beautiful.

lili-that is such a cutie pic of J!!

tgal-Amelia is a tall girl. I bet she''s got a good 2 inches on jake. I''m sorry about all the appts she''s got coming her way. Too funny about her digging through the grapes for the cheerio. jake doesn''t like cheerios. I''ll mix them with puff and he digs though and eats all the puffs leaving the bowl with just the cheerios and then he''ll take them out one by one and drop them on the floor for our dog who waits ever so patiently hoping to get a crumb of something from Jake
20.gif

burk-glad tayva is doing a bit better

jas12- I totally love the new baby sounds too. Jake will lift both hands up over his head when you ask him "how big is Jake?" and I say "so big." I''ve got to remember to try and get a picture of him. When is Cohen''s party? You are going to have so much fun. I went all out for my oldest''s first b-day. I even rented a party room at our YMCA. It was so fun though. Yay for cutting out the 12:00 feeding. I nurse Jake 3 times a day and want to wean but with his milk issue I''m not sure what I''m going to supplement with yet so I will probably keep at it until his 12 month and I can talk to his dr. and figure out what we''re going to do. When does Co go for his 12 check up?

q-sorry little M is sick. I hope she recovers quickly.

puffy-hope you have a great weekend too!

Here''s a portrait of us from back in February, when the babies were 14 months old ...
Wow, it looks like your eyes match your daughter''s and your husband''s match your son''s. That''s AWESOME!

Great family picture!!

DD,

I''m craving a Hunter picture. Pretty please.

Also, you said he''s a noisy sleeper. Does he snore? Move around a lot? Wheeze? Slurp? I guess I just assumed the old adage about babies sleeping like rocks to be true....

***

And Tacori,

I''ve not seen Tessa on here in forever! I''ve gotten spoiled to you being a frequent poster of her cuteness!!

Lili and Ella Great pictures! I can't believe how much all of them have grown!

And just for your Fisher

Hunter is relaxing on a pillow in my lap after nursing.

I can't speak for all babies but Hunter sleeps like a rock during most naps and during his first roughly 5 hour sleep shift at night. I think it is because those are relatively deep sleeps. Buuuut his second and third sleep shifts at night become progressively louder as his sleep becomes more shallow REM sleep -- he grunts A LOT (like he's trying to poop!) and he makes a sing-song noise that sounds a little like a goose, and he snorts, and moans, and sometimes cries out. We have gone to look and sure enough, despite the cacophony he is completely asleep! It is so loud you can hear in downstairs without a monitor sometimes. Needless to say, this is what got the little guy banished to another room. I hope you baby (who may be in your belly now, fingers crossed) is a lot quieter!

Awww, Dreamer!!

How cute is he all sleepy with his legs crossed and fist under his chin??!! Heeehee. I love it!! And shark shoes. He rocks!!!

Thanks for feeding my need to see baby cuteness!!!!

Ella your family portrait is beautiful! K is just the prettiest little girl and G so handsome. I love the color of her eyes and she has the cutest smile!

Dreamer, that picture of Hunter is just killing me. He looks like a miniature The Thinker. And your description of his sleep sounds - OMG. I hope that mine is quieter!

Ellaila, your family is beautiful!

Lili, your daughter is adorable. I love her pigtails!

ella, good to see you. I can''t believe how big G & K are now! Your family picture is beautiful! How cool you each have a lookalike!

lili, what a cute picture of J with her pigtails!

dreamer, what a cute picture of Hunter! I love when they are so tiny.

dreamer- that is a beautiful picture of Hunter.

HAPPY BELATED FIRST BIRTHDAY AMERLIA!

We are back! At last. At least for two days before we head off to WI. I cried when we left T. It was SOOO much easier to leave her when she was 5 months than 17 months. She is a little person now and I think she *sensed* something b/c she was super clingy a few days before we left. I missed her like crazy but of course it was nice to get away with DH. I saw LOTS of babies in customs and know we did the right thing. Plus SIL has a BLAST with T. She tried all these different hair styles (pony tail and pig tails). She has her in pig tails and 2 piece pjs (she usually wears one piece) and she looked SO old! I ran in the house and she was very excited to see us. She kept giving me kisses and staring at us like "are you REALLY here?" Hate to say I think she was more excited to see me than DH. Bwahaha!
12.gif

Q, I really thought she would like a pillow b/c she balls up her blanket like one at night. I think she is ignores it. Oh well. At least I have one for the future. I will have to take a better pic of the flower girl dress! M is so cute! Love when they start pulling up!

Snlee, sounds like D is doing great! Sleep makes a HUGE difference. He is getting so big! I love all the stuff animal shots. I wish I had done that. Oh well. Next time around.

Puffy, sounds like B is READY for preschool! He is so smart. T has quite the collection of stuff in her crib too. So funny.

Bobo, thanks! Hope you fatten up little B!

pave, my SIL took care of her mostly. MIL and FIL did help out though. Everyone has a blast b/c even though she is stubborn, bossy, independent she IS a sweet girl
2.gif
The mommy bond is strong I have found. It does help to have people who can relate to you. I am so glad you went! You know what I realized (with a crabby baby)? Your own baby''s cries bother you WAYYY more than they bother anyone else. So I say go for that walk or drive (if you can stand it).

Burk, sassy T! Haha. Sucks she is sick again! Poor kid!

Lili, I LOVE your new AV!
30.gif
Such a pretty little girl! T is not into dress up yet (except she tries to put on my shoes). I missed you guys too!

TGal, she is so tall! T was under 30" at her 12 months. I think it is good to be cautious! Less gray hairs for mama! Haha. Hope they figure out her foot. Hopefully it is something that can be easily fixed.

Jas12, can''t wait to see b-day pics! Hope Co sleeps longer tomorrow.

ella, good to see you! K and G are looking as cute as ever. Can''t believe they are 16 months already!

fisher, I feel like I just posted a T pic!
2.gif

DD, SWEETEST pic of H! Awww!

Okay, I am so tired I cannot think straight! Hope I didn''t miss anyone! Until tomorrow ladies!

Tacori,

I''ll have to go back and look, then. The last I saw was the orange golf ball pictures with the cuteness floppy hat!

lili~Yea, the "bye bye mommy" happened pretty quickly! She''s not one to just sit still....I''m sure you know how that goes!
9.gif
Love that pic of J!

Puffy~T is okay. She vomited again yesterday so I have a call in to her gi doc. I''m pretty sure it''s the milk. She''s finally at 16 oz a day and I''m assuming it''s just too much for her belly to tolerate.

mrss~I love "so big." It''s so stinking cute! Let us know how Jake''s 12 mo goes.

DD~That is such an adorable pic! I just want to cuddle him right up!

Tacori~Welcome back! Too cute your SIL was playing around with Tessa''s hair. I bet you missed her a ton. When I went away last weekend (first time I have ever been away for longer than 24 hours) I felt like my heart literally hurt I missed T so much. Enjoy your day with T!

Off topic (but one of the only things that''s been on my mind the past few weeks) I think we''re going to make an offer on the lot we want. They''re asking a ridiculous price for it so we''re going to come in low, but I''m just glad we''re at least going to try because you never know.

At work today! On lunch, so just a quick note. It was actually not overly traumatic to leave Co this morn. We spent from 7-8 playing and my MIL arrived and took him to her place. I just called and he was napping, so everything is status quo
36.gif

Tacori--welcome back!

Burk--i would low-ball an offer too--at least try. Very exciting! That money saved would go a long way in the building process. Oh, and our place is kinda craftmans style, 2 story (+ basement that we may finish) 4 bedroom, 3 bath, about 2700 sq/ft . We just visited the lot yesterday and i am getting anxious to begin!

Thanks everyone for the compliments on Hunter! We think he is a snugglebug too of course.

And Tacori and Jas You are making me supremely jealous of your homes and new ones coming up! How fun! We have not bought because we knew we would be moving for my career, and since I finally got a job we are indeed moving accross the country this year! It worked out well we didn''t buy, since we are not now stuck with a property we can''t sell or that we take a loss on, and we can take advantage of the market to get a deal
11.gif
, buuut we are moving to the third most expesive real-estate market in the country!
39.gif
So we will probably only be able to get an 18oo sq ft town house or something. Boo hoo, but at least it isn''t So Cal, right TGal?
2.gif

Jas12~I''m glad your first day back isn''t horrible!
3.gif
Are you waiting for the weather to change before you dig your hole for your house? I imagine the ground is still frozen in your parts? Your house sounds so similar to ours! We''ll both have to post pics when we''re done. Ours is craftsman style, around 2700 square feet, technically 5 bedrooms (one will be a playroom on the main floor), 3 (might finish a 4th) baths. We''ll finish the basement in a few years probably. We''ll have to support each other because I hear it can get stressful.
21.gif
I agree we have nothing to lose making a low offer. Worst thing that can happen is they reject it. Nothing lost.

QT--
Poor thing. I hope M was better yesterday and get to enjoy the cherry blossom festival.
Did you put her in that cute cherry blossom outfit that she wore for CNY (oh.....might be too small now huh?:)
There''s one picture that DH took and she looked like a 3 yo toddler!

puffy--
Thanks. she has alot of different smiles (some demure and some very devious looking
41.gif
).
She''s getting better though I don''t know if she''s having an ear infection cuz she''s tugging her ears all the time.
Either an infection or it''s the molars making their way up
23.gif

haha, not yet...will do so later this week since we are not celebrating her bday until this Sat,
which is good since she just bonked her head this morning while goofing around w/ my sweater -- so she''s got a nasty bump on her forehead
14.gif

How is B doing? Oh, how was your b-day? It was this weekend right?

Linda--
Thanks. She is happy when she gets what she wants
5.gif

MrsS--
Hehe, that is so cute with Jake raising in hands up high when you asked him how big he is!
You got to get a picture of that!
I hope Jake milk issue will resolve itself soon.

Fisher--
Thanks.
So how far along are you? I couldn''t keep track of all the newly preggos over in the other thread.

DD--
Awwee.....that is such a sweet picture of Hunter.
I love that chin and those lips
30.gif
30.gif

It''s hard to believe that something that small can make that much noise to be banished to his own room :D
Hehe, J spends the first 2 months of her life on pillows too.

Blenheim--
Thanks. Can''t wait to meet your LO.

snlee--
Thanks.
Is D officially STTN now?

Tacori--
Welcome home!
Awweee....so T knows who takes care of her
5.gif

Must makes her heart melt when she showered you with her kisses.
Sounds like T and your SIL had a blast w/ the sleepovers.
You''ll have to pose pictures of T in the different hairstyles (I''m sure SIL took lots of pictures for you:)

Fisher--
That is the last picture Tacori posted of T.
I think we need more recent ones huh?

Burk--
Hope T is feeling better.
So are you going to cut back on the whole milk? Poor thing.
36.gif
36.gif
for putting an offer on the lot.
Lots of escrow dust for you!

Jas12--
That''s great first day away from Co is going smoothly.

Hi ladies, happy Monday!

Thanks again for the bday wishes...forgot to report back. It was nice and low key. Of course, Amelia really didn''t care for all the hoopla. She didn''t even care for cake!
23.gif

Update on the foot: Went to the specialist - there is nothing wrong with her foot, hooray! He did say that her limbs/sockets are extra supple and that might delay her walking. He said it''s perfectly normal to have babies walk at 18 months so don''t be nervous if she doesn''t walk for a long time. The doc was wonderful.

I do have her PT and OT appointment a week from today. I made the appointment right after her 1 year checkup, and wouldn''t ya know it...RIGHT that afternoon, she began crawling on knees and hands.
20.gif
Oh well, still going to take her just in case. But babies just seem to do things on their own timeline.

Off to catch up...

TGal--
That''s great news about A''s foot and her crawling
36.gif
36.gif

TGal I meant to tell you that my friend''s son didn''t crawl ever I think, and didn''t walk until he was about 18mo or more... he was a shy little boy. Well, nothing is wrong with him and he walks fine now, and at 3 years is a real showman. Can''t draw firm conclusions from one example, but I think you are correct to not take the doc''s worries too seriously. Amelia is fine, she is just doing things her own way... hmmm, wonder where she get''s that from
emotion-18.gif

Ella, good to see you here again. Have you noticed the PS twin baby boom? There are twins freakin'' everywhere! G&K are in good company! They are so gorgeous - K looks just like her mom. Great family photos and I love the neutral outfits.
36.gif

And ack! I can''t believe my Amelia is bigger than both of them. The girl''s a giant!!
39.gif

lili, That is just a cute pic of J - as they ALL are!
30.gif
I''m trying the frozen fruit stuff - what do you buy? Amelia is not having any of it. She does however, like multigrain waffles - probably because they taste like cheerios.
20.gif
She is refusing to drink whole milk from her sippy.

Have any of you given milk in the bottle? My ped doesn''t want her to take her whole milk from a bottle because he would rather her not associate milk with it. Thoughts?

QT, I hope M is feeling better!

MrsS, hehehe...it''s so funny when they pick food out. Can''t wait to see one year photos of Jake. 2 inches doesn''t sound like much, but we saw a baby at the park who was 13 months and 2 inches shorter than Amelia. I was talking to them so we stood them side by side. That this age, I couldn''t believe how much of a difference 2 inches made. She looked like she was 6 months old than he was. Of course, she was the gimp who couldn''t stand on her own and this little baby was running around like a madman on his own.

DD, that is a cute pic of Hunter. It made me laugh because I have a pic of Amelia in the exact same pose. Wonder if the mandatory "my baby is a future einstein" shot? Hehe.

Tacori, welcome back!!! Have you picked out a stroller yet?

Burk, oooh...I hope you get the lot! As DD alluded - thank your stars you don''t live in Cali!

Jas, welcome back to work...I can''t believe it - a year has gone by. Does it feel good at all?

I didn''t crawl and walked at 16 months. I''m not concerned about the walking (never met a person who was stucking at crawling, as we all know) but I did want her to crawl because they say it helps development. I''m kind of a dummy so that''s just exhibit A for the case against babies who did not crawl.
9.gif

Her ped is great because he''d rather be safe than sorry. We have a lot of friends whose peds say "he''ll grow out of it a lot", thereby delaying necessary treatment. My ped only seems to refer her to fabulous people. Her torticolis PT was amazing. Same with the orthopedic specialist (who made her smile and giggle, which is RARE with a total stranger). I do think we need help for the eating. Problematic eating habits can plague both mother and child for YEARS. I know, I was one of those too!
15.gif

lili, thanks!

first let me say that i am SO SORRY for not even attempting to catch up....
BUT

i've been going through absolute misery the past 24 hours or so. i really need lots and lots of PS dust for B. he got burned pretty severely with MY hot tea. long story short, he was playing one minute and the next minute i hear this absolute screeching type cry that i hope no mom ever has to hear. that second, i knew what happened, i just didn't know it was that bad. he tipped over my cup on himself and his skin came peeling off and blistering up immediately. i grabbed him, took his clothes off, i actually cut them off cause i was so panicked, the clothes did not want to come of the right way. i put a cold compress on, and brought him to the ER. he was screaming, i was crying. the ER docs sent us to the burn clinic. and they scrubbed his blisters and applied ointment. he was in so much pain, my heart just broke for him. i can't believe that i was so careless...what was i thinking?!?! anyways, we were at the hospital over night and i just watched as he slept and every whimper he made, i got up to comfort him. i even held him to sleep for 2 hours. the docs want to keep him longer to observe him and make sure there is no infection and that the burns are ok. needless to say, vegas is cancelled, which is fine..i just want to bring my baby home.
they say that he has some severe 2nd degree burns and some not too bad. it's mainly on his upper arm, upper chest and a little on his chin. i am such a terrible mother.
i really hope no mom has to go through this, even thought hey say it is pretty common, but still it is just heart breaking.
so please keep my little guy in your prayers!!!
hope everyone is doing well!!!

just real quick, will be back to catch up later.

Tgal
You are mighty intelligence to me. But just want provide another evidence that not crawling doesn''t mean less intelligence, my coworker''s son never crawled and he is now in medical school. =P

here he is sleeping. his head isn't burned, but they had to wrap it to keep the dressing on his chest on.
BAD mom....
ETA: he is not THAT chubby...the head wrap was on pretty tight, so it was squeezing his cheeks together.
