Hi Mommies!
35.gif

OK, I am going to try and catch up. I am 12 pages behind, and had to go through and take notes.
DH is ready to have me committed
20.gif
(At least I won't have to do the cooking and the cleaning
3.gif
)

MrsS-I can't believe how much Jake has grown! I love the blue frosting picture - it matches his beautiful blue eyes!
Sounds like he had a great day! The shots do suck! I still feel so badly when they have to get them. Also, sorry to hear that Jake is slightly anemic.

Bobo - What a cutie pie! I love the pic with the phone. When he gets a little older, and the time outs don't work, you can put his favorite toy in a time out. I had good luck with that one.

QT- M is the cutest easter bunny baby I have ever seen
30.gif

Jas12- Your beach pictures are beautiful!
Happy Birthday to Co! It looks like he had a great birthday. You are a beautiful family!
How adorable that he blew on you because you were hot! He is smart.

DreamerD - Wow 38 lbs already! That is amazing!
It sounds like Hunter is thriving (and looks like it too!)
1.gif
He is just precious. I love the bear pictures and the laughing one is adorable.

Puffy- I am so glad that B is doing well.
All kids have accidents. Sometimes they end up in the hospital, and sometimes they don't
28.gif

I will give you 2 examples, as there are far too many to list.
When Ava was 2 we were at a restaurant and I went downstairs to pay the bill while DH got her ready to go.
Moms know from experience that you get everything ready and then get the baby from the highchair, but dad's don't always.
He took her out first and she went running after me and tumbled down the stairs
23.gif
We felt like THE WORST parents in the world!

When Sam was 18 months he tripped at Legoland and chipped his tooth. The root died and they had to extract it
14.gif
Another "I am a sucky parent" moment. It happens to everyone.

Curly-Your girls are beautiful. You certainly do have a couple of characters on your hands! They both have wonderful smiles!

Diva-James is so cute! I love the bath pic
30.gif

Snlee - The picture of D at the park is adorable!

Blenheim-George is a beautiful baby! He is so cute in his green striped onesie

Tgal_So glad to hear that Amelia doesn't need PT. Also good news that you found your earring
3.gif

I had never seen baby Amelia before - she was a beautiful baby!

Burk-I love the picture of T in her zippy jammas(that's what my kids call them - they still wear them, even Ava -size XL from Target)
Congrats on getting your lot
36.gif
Sorry to hear about the builder, that sucks! We went way over budget, and I think everyone does to some extent. I hope you find one that you like. I can't wait for you to start - I am so excited! (yay - a project!) Hope that DH comes home soon!

L2L-Parker is such a handsome little guy!

Tacori-The GTG looks like it was so much fun. I am jealous! T is a little firecracker - that girl has spunk!
You look great in the pics and not fat AT ALL!
The constant talking does get old
20.gif
Soon it will be the unanswerable questions like "Why is a stop sign an octagon?" or the dreaded "How does the baby get inside the mommy's belly?"
23.gif

NF Max and Dexter are adorable!

Lili-OMG J is just too cute! She looked like she loved her Pooh bear cake!
And on her mouse
30.gif

The pic with the hoodie looks like a Gap ad.
How do you stop yourself from kissing her all day long?

I will catch up on me later.
Hope everyone is healthy and well!
35.gif

Blen~We don't expect you to be able to keep up....those first months are hard!
2.gif
Hang in there!

iluv~I seriously just spit out my soda reading about you taking notes!
9.gif
We fully expect to go over budget but we weren't expecting to start already 70K over....that puts a damper in the plans. I'm really excited to get this project going. I'll keep you posted. Can't wait to hear what's new with you!

Just had to pop in real quick before I head to bed because I downloaded some pics of T over the weekend and one had a side view where you could see some of her curls that are developing at the ends of her hair. I love it.

ETA:I had a heck of a time resizing this...wish it was bigger so you could see them better.
7.gif

tcurls2.jpg

And just for fun, here's a pic of her with my brother whom she adores! I think he's a little smitten himself (he's 18 and babysits pretty much any time I ask!)

Welcome NYC! I have the Chicco Keyfit 30 and it definitely fits in the Snap n Go. Try to wiggle the car seats around. Sometimes it gets stuck and doesn''t go down easily. Hope this helps. Not sure how the drouble frame works.

Hope the pain gets better soon too. Get some rest and enjoy your time at home with the twins! I''m so glad they get to go home now.

iluv i know accidents happen all the time, but it''s so weird when it happens to you!! i always thought that i would be THAT parent that would be perfect and nothing would ever happen to B...well not so much. i''m just really happy that he will be fine. how have you been? and how are the kids?

tacori the closet situation is going. the closet people came by a few weeks ago to get started. but i asked that they didn''t come for a few weeks cause of B''s accident and i knew that i would be in and out of the house a ton. they will be back next month to continue. i''m super excited about it, but it''s going to take some time, that''s for sure. awww, that''s so cute that T''s friend''s family knows about her.

mrsS it''s been so nice out lately, but rain is in the forecast. i''m just ready to be done with the rain.

burk WOW, 545 is pretty early. i could barely get B to get to bed by 830 tonight. he was so pooped from the park that he fell asleep on his room floor (again!!) while i was getting dinner ready. hopefully, she will start to nap better at daycare. she is so pretty too!!!

blen it''s tough for the first few months, but i''m sure you already expected that. hang in there!!

nyc sorry i can''t help with your question, but i wanted to say hi and that your babies are so precious!!! hope you feel better from the c-sec soon!!

M broke out in hives on her face and neck yesterday. I don’t know what caused it b/c we didn’t give her any new food or change detergent/soap, etc. She was rubbing and scratching her neck. So we gave her 3ml of benadryl after pedi’s ok. After that, it looks much better. I wonder if it’s just the heat or what.

We had a busy weekend b/c we celebrate DH’s birthday with some friends on Fri night. Then we had an one month party for our cousin’s baby girl. And then we had the hives episode yesterday. I was exhausted.

The coming weekend will also be a busy one for us. M’s 9 months well visit is on Fri, then Sat is our March for Babies walk (I am taking Meena on the 3 miles fundraiser) and another cousin’s baby welcoming party (remember our cousin that had the preemie boy). I am really excited about the walk b/c I raised more money than I expected. =) I just hope that the forecast is right about the temp cooling down.

MrsS
So Jake’s rash came back again? How slowly will you need to introduce the whole milk? Just curious for future references.
Cute farting noise story. I always find it interesting what gets M to laugh.

Burk
Wow you have a lot on your plate. Good luck finding a builder.
I love Tayva’s hair, so pretty.

Blen
Sorry about the mastitis. Are you better now?
Yay for George gaining weight. That means you are doing great BFing.
Babies go through phases of fussiness; he might just want to be held or something.

DD
Woohooo Hunter is officially STTN. I don’t know why they decide that STTN means 5 hrs of uninterrupted sleep. Maybe have something to do with the fact that baby is supposed to eat every 3-4 hrs. Who knows.

Bobo
Are you going to get little B a Wheely Bug too? We might start another trend on PS. Hehe.
M comes over when I am eating chips too (well actually anytime when I am eating). I just offer her the puffs and she is fine with that.

Tgal
Thanks. You know, SIL and I joke that M has an attitude already. But she is very observant and gives serious stares. When we are out and strangers are playing with her, she just stares and I kind of feel bad. She doesn’t laugh or smile easily, that’s for sure.
Yay for Amelia; she is just hitting lots of milestones.

curly
Lucy is as cute as ever. Just want to give her a big kiss.

Allie
Your nephews are gorgeous.

Tacori
I know what you are talking about re: pusher/car thingy. Our nephew had one. Maybe we’ll just borrow it. But I feel bad asking to borrow b/c DH asked to borrow their walker. And I don’t want M to use a walker. So they’ve been asking me how come she doesn’t use it.
How was farmer’s market?

puffy
Glad B was having fun in the yard.
OMG, the “girlfriend” and the old lady in a wheelchair stories are just too adorable.
Hope you’ll be able to join us for the GTG.

lili
I don’t know which animal I am getting yet. I like the original lady bug and the cow the most. Maybe M will be able to show me which one she likes when the time comes.

Diva
Sound like you had a great time Sat.
Best wishes for your MIL on her surgery.

Jas12
Aww so cute that Co blew on you when you said you were hot.

snlee
Glad you guys were enjoying the warm weather.
D looks so cute in the swing.
Maybe the sleep regression is just a one day thing.
No advice on whether to take or leave D. I’ll probably want to take M everywhere with me.

iluvcarats
How are you doing?

NYC
Welcome!!! How are you and the twins doing?

Thanks everyone!
Twins are doing great. I just called the nicu nurse and she said the night in the crib was good but jackie still spit up the food some. I personally have seen different nurses with them and some know what to do to avoid this from happening and it drives me crazy that the ones who don''t act like she has a problem..urgh...I hope doctor doesn''t bring that up today bc I will have to say smthg.
I believe they will come home today..so we are going there by 11.
I have that stupid problem with the car seats and snap n go..so I have to rush to bru when it opens.

anyone who has had a c section please help....I have this excruciating burning pain in only 1 area (far left side) and it is the only thing bothering me..I don''t know if this is normal? I am on percocets every 4 hrs and I think I should have doc check incision again? I can''t stand or walk w.o. Being in tons of pain from this one spot!

I am also not bf''ing and trying to do what I can to not have the incoming milk pain...I wear bra and put ice packs..anyone have suggestions?

Thanks again..I will post more pics when they get home :)

NYC-I didn''t have any pain really with my C so I would have it checked.

As for the Chicco-you need to make sure it''s adjusted for seats that don''t SNAP in-they just sit on top. So if your DH is trying to SNAP them in-they don''t do that. Just make sure the front is level and sitting on the frame and that the back is sitting too. I find that it''s easier to put one in first but I can''t remember which one!

Just a quick one..

SNLEE: love the swing shot--what is that you put him in? Is it one of those liners for shopping carts? I need one!
As you know I have the same dilemma on leaving baby while DH and I take a trip, although I''m not BF''ing. I say, go for it! How long is the trip? C would only be 10 mo''s, and for me it''s a whole week (since it''s Europe). It''s going to be v. hard b/c I keep thinking what if something happens, it''s not like I can say, I''ll head home asap. But everyone assures me she''ll be fine, and so I think I''m going..

TGAL: Yay for Amelia, sounds like once again she has leaped past needing p/t and is right on track!

Curly: those photos really reveal Lucy''s personality, she seems to be constantly laughing while wearing the stylin clothes! How''s the water feeding going at night, is it lessening her need to wake up? I tried water with Chloe (just the tiniest bit). She crinkled her nose, and kept biting the sippy cup, but it''s a start. She doesn''t really need it, but just wanted her to try drinking a little out of a cup.

Burk: nice shots! At first I thought that was your DH and I was like, GEESH he does look young!
emwink.gif

DD: wait on the ring sizing. I had a lot of water retention in my pregnancy, legs and hands. I look at photos and I had no ankles!! (of course it was summer--good b/c could wear flip flops 24/7, bad b/c everyone could see my legs!). Rings didn ''t fit for the longest time, I had come to accept I''d have to resize my wedding ring. Then one day it squeezed on. And then a few more weeks it fit. I''d say it started to squeeze on around 3 mo''s so it took a while.

Qtiekiki: Wow, busy and fun times ahead! Any gifts planned for DH? And be sure to let us know M''s 9 mo stats and how the shots go. Sorry to hear about the hives, hope it''s better today.

Not much new to report. I tried making some baby food..squished up bananas, that was pretty easy. So I might try avocado next. Maybe I''ll invest in food grinder so I can move on to other foods.

Thanks neat- I left msg for nurse to call bak and maybe I can see someone today. Bc I agree that it may not be normal...maybe I scratched over there...day of c and after I was very itchy and out of it and I just don''t know.

Dh was so frustrated and tired and I can''t function so they just went and exchanged the car seats. Im just not having a great experience. I was so comfortable in the hospital and I felt so at peace just being with the babies and not having to worry about anything else. And here come reality and knocks me in the face
7.gif

super quick before we go on our morning walk.....

qt i think it''s great that you are doing the walk!!! good luck and hope the weather is perfect for you!!!

just popping in-

nyc - big hugs, honey.
are there other carseats that will work with j & j''s weights?

at 2 weeks, g''s up to about 9 lb 3 oz.
23.gif
he was 7.15 at birth, 8.4 at 8 days. i guess that explains all of the eating.
he''s also getting fat rolls. here he is in a milk coma - look at his chin compared to my avi!

g 2 wks.jpg

nyc~sorry you''re in pain! Hope the doctors can get it figured out. Can''t wait to see more pics of the babies! Do you have help coming to stay with you?

puffy~Yea, 5:45 is crazy early. But, she was ready so she went down around 6:15 or so. I''m setting up my part time next year so that she can nap at home. She is just too busy to nap at daycare. So cute that B fell asleep on his floor again.

QT~Sorry about M''s rash. So weird but glad the benadryl helped. The walk sounds awesome. Tayva loves to go for walks and since it''s for a great cause....even better!!

janine~Thanks...too funny about thinking my bro was my DH!

really quick, nyc, I agree, get it checked out. I had an overall kind of soreness (as if I did a million sit ups) but nothing shooting in one particular spot. Better to be on the safe side for sure.

Take a deep breath and maybe drink some tea. Heck, if you are not breast feeding, I wonder if you can have a small glass of wine or something. It is totally normal to feel overwhelmed when you get home. I was in the hospital for SIX days and really felt comforted by the lifeline. I remember bringing her home, putting her in the bassinet and then just sitting there, scared and staring at her thinking, "Now what do I do?"

You''ll manage - and it''s OK even if you *barely* manage. I recommend going into the shower, sitting down with your head leaning against the tiles and just crying. It somehow feels less pathetic when your entire face is wet not only from tears but with water as well. Plus hot water is soothing.
2.gif

Blen~We must have been posting at the same time....that pic is too cute. Love the chin. T ate all the time at that age, too. I called her my little piglet!
21.gif

TGal, yay on Amelia hitting the milestones. I guess she really don''t want to go to therapy.

Tacori, how funny Tessa keep trying to close your laptop. little B have a aunt in Taiwan and we skype almost everyday. So whenever little B saw me open up my laptop he''ll come running and said "aunt" in chinese.

Thanks snlee, I especially love when he blow me kisses. D is so cute! look at his apple cheeks. Sorry to hear about D''s sleep, babies do have good nights and bad nights. Little B still wakes up in the middle of the night sometimes.

DH and I face the same problem as you guys do. We want to take a vacation but can''t decide if we want to take little B along. It won''t be a "vacation" with him coming with us but we can''t stand to leave him behind. errr...parenthood...

Thanks Burk, I especially love when little B blow me kisses. wow..$70K,that is a lot. Hope you will find another builder soon. I love Tayva''s curls. She is such a pretty little girl.

MrsS, sorry to hear Jake is slight anemic. Steak for dinner sounds great, I think Jake will love it.
3.gif

lili, our pedi did prescribe little B vitamin. Once he is fully on soy milk we will need to give him vitamin since soy milk don''t have as much vitamin as formula.

puffy, it melts my heart every time he blow kisses to me...yay on his arm getting better.
36.gif

iluv, thanks for the tip, I''m sure it will come in handy in the future.

NYC, welcome to mommyhood! Congrats on the twin! I think you should have your doctor check out the incision. Hope you heal from the C section soon.

Qtiekiki, sorry to hear M got hives. It might be the weather. Hope the weather will be a little cooler for your walk on Sat. We might put a hold on buying the wheely bug. DH think it look dangerous for little B so we bought something else from BRU.

I tried to switched snack on him but little B always look before he eats, and I usually need to take a bit first before he will eat it. I always tell my DH that little B probably got poison in his food in his past life that is why he is so careful when he eats.

Blen, George is just so handsome, i love the double chin.

blen he is SO cute!!! and i LOVE that chin!!! sounds like he is eating like a champ.

nyc hope you are doing better. were you able to take the twins home today?

bobo sounds like little B is just the cutest little thing!! it will only get better. B has this thing where if i tell him to say bye or if someone says bye to him, he HAS to blow them a kiss and if some how i try to drag him away before he does, he has this huge fit!! it''s pretty cute, but sometimes, we are just in a rush or i simply forgot. haha

burk i don''t blame the girl, she is so busy and so social..why sleep when she can play? she does nap better when she is at home?

it is crazy hot here again, but supposed to cool down. it''s so hot that i don''t want to let B outside. we''re going to go get some frozen yogurt. he LOVES the stuff, but then again, what kid won''t? i just give him a little each time and he just goes crazy!! hope everyone is doing well!!

Bobo~Thanks! We''re really hoping for success with the builder we meet with on Saturday.... fingers crossed!

puffy~T loves frozen yogurt and ice cream too. What a fun treat! T does nap better when she''s at home. I think she is so distracted by all the other cribs and pnps at daycare that she either takes forever to fall asleep (sometimes she''ll play in her crib for an hour and NEVER fall asleep)or when she wakes (super "unsound" sleeper) she''s up for good. At home she may wake and fuss half way through a nap, but it''s so dark and there''s no one around to distract her that she goes back to sleep. She''s been averaging (2) 25 minute naps at daycare!
20.gif
She usually goes for 45 min in the morning and 1.5-2 hrs in the afternoon at home.

Thanks everyone for the advice ..I really love hearing from ppl who have been through this as well..although I don''t wish this kind pain on anyone!
We went to the nicu today and basically almost had a "falling out" with the docs. I am just so upset...they claim jackie spits up or "vomits"...and that may be the case but it sure isn''t her fault...there is a different nurse every time and they have different tecniques and I''ve witnessed most of them. They feed her pretty fast and don''t burp her enough and put her down ...(on her belly) right away!..and she of course throws it all back.
Other nurses..go slow at her pace and burp her often and let her digest and relax before setting her down and no throw up!
So I fed her twice today and again no throw up...im just so upset with them not understanding that this isn''t the childs fault!
All in all doc wanted to monitor another day...so we left upset and very frustrated

My pain is still consistent and burns...can I put neosporin and a gauze on the incision areas? Does anyone know?...nurse just said take meds and give it time.

Sorry for the rant

Sorry for the rant

Aww hon it''ll get better-I promise! As for the babes-I know it''s frustrating but keeping them there one more night won''t hurt. Just think about how stressful it would be at home if sweet Jackie starts throwing up her food-better to give it one more day and hopefully she will have the sweet nurses with her tonight.

As for the incision-I wouldn''t. I was told to keep it dry and let it air out. Have you gotten it checked yet? Mine never burned it was just sore-so if it''s burning I would get it checked ASAP.

Big hugs girl-it''s ok to feel overwhelmed when you bring the babies home! I second TGal''s suggestion of a good cry when you need it and a glass of wine! But maybe not the hot shower...that can stimulate milk production so it might make you more uncomfortable.

LOL, I was crying long after any chance I had at milk coming out!

Hey Neat- I totally agree...I wish its the nice nurse tonite..bc all babies need is some tlc and some nurses don''t care about that...not to say they are doing a bad job...but strangers can''t care for ur own kids the way family can...and I have no problem with them stayin..I just hated the approach..this hospital has been so frustrating from the very beginning. Im just upset I guess and I def need a good cry..nurse said to turn ur back away from the shower...any boob stimulation wasn''t good. I still haven''t showered..dh washes me up ...he is so amazin!

I have an appt for ob next week but I really want someone to check it out now..and she''s away so I have to call and try to see someone else earlier ...I will wait a day or so.

Thanks again for all the advice, support and for listening to my rants!

Trying to catch up....

DD - Like Hunter, James is long and lean and does not leak with Pampers so I''d give those a try. He''s had a few blowouts too and it''s usually because the diaper is not on correctly.

MRSSALVO - Hahahahaha - Jake is making fart noises and thinks it''s funny! Such a BOY!

PUFFY - James is not crawling yet. He gets up on all fours and scoots backwards
20.gif
. He also scoots backwards if he''s on his back - he uses his head for leverage. Oh well, soon enough. The little butt shake is cute.

JAS12 - That''s funny that Co was blowing on you. My fingers were bigger during pregnancy - so much that after a while I just left my wedding rings on because they wouldn''t come off. They are now back to normal size so I''d wait on resizing.

SNLEE - Awwww, D is pretty darn cute in that swing at the park.

BURK -
23.gif
$70K is a pretty big error. I''d look for a new builder too. Cute pics of T!

BLEN - He''s a cutie - and getting bigger already.

NYC - Sorry to hear about your fallout with the twinks'' docs. The little burping and laying on the tummy won''t help - James was the same way.

Thank you everyone for your well wishes for my MIL. Her surgery is scheduled for tomorrow afternoon. BOBO, she''ll be 60 in early May.

I''m going to be super busy at work tomorrow so I don''t know if I''ll be able to sneak on. Hope everyone has a wonderful night!

Aw, thanks girls!

NYC - I hope you''re feeling better and that Jackie got a good nurse last night. I also hope that they''re able to come home today. Thinking of you guys...

Hi Everyone! I''m so incredibly behind...

NYC Congrats! I hope the babies get out quick. I know it''s hard to leave and feel comfortable with all of the different nurses taking care of your little ones. I hope your incision is healing and not painful- I would definitely have it checked out. Did you have luck getting in touch with someone?

Blen- my gosh George is so cute and he is gaining weight so great! Is BF getting any better? It is pretty smooth for me but I am always anxious about my supply, and if it''s going to maintain(oh really I have been having troubles too- I have been fighting yeast for about a month or so- not comfortable but I caught it before it got too bad).

Puffy- how is little b? Is he back out birdwatching again? My dad is an avid birdwatcher and he got T on a mailing list for some santa cruz bird watching thing. The kid gets mail everyday. It was cute the first time but now I am wondering what to do with all this mail? Kind of want to chuck it.

Burk- wow what a mistake the builders made, huh? I guess it''s good you found out now. Any luck finding someone new? How is T? Are her naps any better? I ddin''t understand what you were saying about pt next year? Is she not going to have to go todaycare?

DD Is your guy still sleeping well? I am sooooo jealous. Tyler gave me 7 hours on Sat and 5 on Friday- but then not so good on Sunday. He had his shots Monday and now he is sleeping great this week. Am I a terrible mom that I am enjoying the results of the vaccines? Oh blissful sleep.

BOBO that is so sweet that B is blowing kisses! Adorable!

Tgal that is so cool that A is meeting her milestones! So exciting and now she doesn''t have to go to therapy? Hooray!

Snlee that pic of D is adorable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HI Lili- I love the birthday pics! How cute!

Tacori- hi! Is your mom still there? that''s great you got gardening done. When are your dh family moving permanently? How great to see the kids playing together. I had a friend over with her 8 month old. Tyler just cries, haha.

Hi Mrs S- how is jake? did you give him the steak? Lucky guy.

Hi ILUV nice to see you. Yesterday in bed I was picturing what it would be like the first time T gets hurt because of me. I need to cut it out...

Hi Q, Janine and Curly! I have to go because T is awake. He had his 4 mo visit. 12 lbs 14 oz. 24 inches got his shots. doing well. they said we could start cereal but I dont htink I will yet...He is having yucky stools again(no blood just mucus). I am thinking it might be corn allergy too? Yeesh.

nyc~hope you're feeling better and the twinks are able to come home with you today!

Diva~yea, not a little mistake. Better now, especially because we found a really good new builder that we meet with on Saturday to get the ball rolling.

pave~We found a great new builder (we hope). T is doing alright. She naps very minimally at daycare but does fine at home. Just her social nature I suppose. As for PT next year...I'm just changing my schedule. I'm PT now and I work basically 9-2:50. Next year I'll be teaching 8-11:30. I could have taught 12-2:50 but chose to teach mornings so that T could nap at home in the afternoons. Kinda confusing with part time teaching. Are you going back full time or part time? Sorry Tyler is having yucky stools. For what it's worth, cereal is supposed to be good for refluxy babies because it lines the esophagus (I think that's right)...at any rate it may be good for him. Rice cereal doesn't contain corn, but if you think he may be soy intolerant make sure you read the ingredients because I believe Gerber RC has soy as an ingredient. We always use the organic one that walmart carries-it doesn't have the soy in it. Keep us posted!
