Oh, and T has her 15 month appt today. I''m guessing she weights no more than she did at 12 mon and is probably an 1/2 in to an inch taller...we shall see.

DD - Like Hunter, James is long and lean and does not leak with Pampers so I''d give those a try. He''s had a few blowouts too and it''s usually because the diaper is not on correctly.
I think that it was user error that caused the blow outs
emembarrassed.gif
We hadn''t been sticking the tabs low enough on his belly to keep the leg holes nice and snug, so poo leaked out the leg holes! Since figuring this out no leaks, but we shall see!

Question: Hunter has his vaccinations yesterday and he has no fever but he is a little sad cranky man today! He only wants to nurse and be held. Is this normal? I think it is but want some verification...

Glad you figured out the diaper issue! We've always loved Huggies. As for the post vac issues-all babies react differently, but cranky is absolutely normal.

pave-sounds like T is doing great. I''m sorry about the possibility of another allergy.

burk-can''t wait to hear T''s 15 month stats

DD- cranky babies after the shots is normal.

So, Jake slept from 6:45pm last night until about 6:30 am. I heard him wake up and let him play in his crib until about 7:00 (during that time I hopped in the shower). So, since he slept in so late I decided not to nurse him and just fed him breakfast and juice with the nasty liquid vitamin mixed in. He ate lunch and I nursed right before his afternoon nap and won''t nurse again today. So, I''m down to one! I hope I can go one a day for a few more days and then drop it completely. I''m excited but there is a very small part of me that kinda sad about it. I don''t know why, maybe because I know he''s my last or that he''s turning into a toddler and doesn''t need mommy milk any more. anyway, I hope to have he weaned in just a few more days!

Burk- I love
30.gif
Tayva''s little curls! She just keeps getting cuter and cuter!
$70K is a lot! There is nothing new with me. It is spring break here, so my kids are home. I think they need a divorce
11.gif

They are driving me to the brink of insanity with their bickering (ie Mom Sam took my seat!!! blah blah blah)- Talk to the hand......LOL
Then of course Dh goes away for a week on Friday
32.gif

Nycbkgirl- welcome to the mommy board and congrats on your twins. I hope the pain eases up soon!
35.gif

QT-I am fine thanks for asking! You sound very busy! Sorry to hear about the hives. It could be heat. Any new soaps or detergents?
How fun that you are having a GTG!

Diva-Sending dust for your MIL. Keep us posted.

Pave-Hi! How are you doing?

Burk-Great news that you found a builder!
36.gif

snlee--
thanks for the input on the vitamin.
regarding your trip, I''d leave D home w/ your mom. He''s taking the bottle right now anyway, so whether or not he''s weaned by the time your trip rolls around shouldn''t be an issue (of course, unless you don''t have enough reserved to last the whole trip). how long is your trip? like others have said, length of time on weaning depends on the child. some weaned in a day, others did in over weeks.

DD--
glad you figure out the diaper leak problem.
i''d wait til 6 months and see what your finger does.
and crankiness is one of the side-effects of shot
5.gif

that''s good he didn''t get a fever.

Tacori--
Nice weather. Wow, that''s alot of plants.
All my plants didn''t do too well since Jadie came along
14.gif

Sorry to hear that you friend (or T''s friend) is moving.
Isn''t it cute when they play together instead of in parallel?

puffy--
that''s alot of water bottles.
w/ the temp heating up, there''s going to be more bottles huh?

Blen--
Awwwe....George is a cutie.
Love the milk coma picture
30.gif

He''s grown so much in such a short time!

Burk--
Look at those lovely curls
30.gif

What a little beauty she is (and a playful one too).
She''s a happy kid.
That''s great that you found a builder you like.
Hope everything works out and you guys are good to go to break ground.

iluvcarats--
LOL....your taking notes comment had me laughing.
I have to say that you are very thorough when commenting on each and very posts.
I only have 2 pages to go through and I still leave things out most time.
Haha, how do you know that it''s a gap shirt that J has on?
Hehe, you know what keep me from kissing her all day? snot and saliva!
she''s got those rubbed all over all face because she hates it when I try to wipe them off.
glad to hear that you are doing good.
So done with doctor''s visit and procedures I hope?

NYC--
Welcome! And I have to say again that your twins are Adoorable.
Can''t wait to see more pictures of them.
Sorry, can''t help w/ the carseat as I don''t have the chicco.
Hope you found something that works better.
Hope you are feeling better w/ your incision.

puffy--
Haha....sleeping on the floor again?
He must be running wild on your walk.
That''s great the Closet people got the go ahead to start, at least now you know that it''s going to get done eventually.
Can''t wait to see it. Did you take a before picture for the before/after comparison?

QT--
Sorry to hear about M''s rash.
It could be the heat. I know I''d break out as a child whenever it gets too hot.
Glad to hear that benadryl helps lessen the rash.
Wow, sounds like you had a busy weekend and a busier one ahead.
Hope the weather cools down for you and M as well.
The cow and bug are cute too...
Hehe, maybe M will like the mouse too since that''s her birth year
2.gif

Janine--
You know, J never did like the mashed up banana.
She''ll eat the processed one fine, but not the fresh one I mashed.
She actually liked it whole.

Bobo--
What brand or type of soy milk are you giving little B?
Since J is not liking the taste or whole milk (even though she doesn''t mind it w/ her oatmeal) I thought I give soy milk a try.
And which toy did you end up getting from BRU for B?
I was going to say that I don''t think you need to worry about him falling off in the back on the wheely bug because it is designed w/ a big butt (a slight bump on the rear).

Diva--
Hehe, that is cute that James scoots backward when he crawls.
Did you take this opportunity to teach him to go down furniture or uneven floors?
J took a few head dives because she only knows how to move forward at the beginning.
Took her a while to realize that you need to go backward from you go down a from higher place.

Pave--
hehe, don''t feel guilty about enjoying the results of vaccines.
I was like that too
9.gif

Sorry to hear about yucky stools -- hope it is not an allergy.
Does T drool alot? I know J''s stool was off during the period when she was drooling excessively because she was teething.

Burk--
Can''t wait to hear T''s 15mnth stat.

Thanks puffy, now if little B will just plant a kiss on me everyday then I will be really thrill. He kisses all his toys, clothes and even floors but us
20.gif
How sweet of B to blow kisses when he say bye. You have a sweet sweet boy.

Frozen yogurt sounds yummy, I have a weird one on my hand. Little B don''t like ice cream
33.gif
sometime I really wonder if he is really my child?

Burk, sending you find a excellent builder dust your way~

NYC, sorry to hear about the "fall out" I hope you get to bring your babies home soon and your right, strangers can''t care for our own kids the way family can.

Diva, wow...60, that is young.

Thanks Pave!

DD, it''s normal for babies to be cranky after vaccinations. It''s good that he doesn''t have a fever. Little B usually get a fever for 24 hours after the vaccinations.

MrsS, mixed emotion right? I always told DH that I can''t wait until little B is 18 and off to college out of the house. But part of me is sad when I see him getting older and hitting all the milestones because I can''t believe my baby is growing up.

lili, I don''t remember the brand, either trader joe or wholefood. I usually just grab the organic no sugar added one. Hope J will like soy milk.

We bought him a roll along giraffe, I think it''s fisher price. DH is super protective of little B or should I say over protective.
5.gif
DH is talking about buying a helmet for little B to wear at our new house because the whole house is wooden floor and he is afraid little B will fall and hit his head hard.

Janine
Yay on making your own baby food. I want to, but I feel like I don’t have enough time. Currently M is eating rice porridge with sweet potatoes, split peas and ground chicken that MIL makes. I think I should be giving her more finger food.
Puffy
Thanks. I always wanted to walk in the march, but I never got around to it. I am especially motivated this year b/c I am thankful for my healthy baby, and also b/c of our cousin’s loss of her pre-term twins.
B loves his frozen yogurt, huh. Last time, SIL bought home some and M was trying to get us to give her a touch.
Blen
George is so precious. I can see his weight gain. It’s amazing how much and how fast they gain in the first few months.
How’s your mastitis? Is BFing getting easier yet?
Burk
Thanks. M’s rash is gone (well she still has eczema, but that was different from the rash that just showed up on Sun).
I hope M likes the walk. She looks bored sometimes when she is in the stroller. She prefers being held or in her carrier, but there’s no way I can wear her for 3 miles.

NYC
Sorry for your discomfort. Hope it’s nothing major.
It’s a bummer that the twins didn’t get to go home yesterday. It must be frustrating dealing with all the nurses and the docs.
Bobo
Thanks.
So what did you end up getting for little B?
Little B actually sounds a lot like our nephew when he was a baby. He was very careful with what he put in his mouth. But our nephew wasn’t very oral at all.
Diva
James sounds so cute scooting. M gets on all four for like a sec, and then just flop down onto the floor and do her army crawl.
Pave
Tyler is getting big. We need new pics whenever you have some time.
Ditto what Burk says about RC & reflex. Supposed to help, so maybe you can give T a little bit.
DD
Hunter’s reaction to the vaccinations is totally normal.

MrsS
Yay for getting down to one nursing. I heard a lot of women feel the way you do when they wean. I think I’ll feel that way too, even though right now I can’t wait to stop pumping at work.
iluvcarats
Glad you are doing well. Yeah a busy weekend for sure, but at least it’s fun busy. =P
No new detergents or soaps. Nothing new, so that’s why I wasn’t sure what the cause was.
I am very excited for the GTG.
lili
Yeah a fun-filled weekend. =D
We thought about getting the rat b/c she is a rat, but we’ll wait and see. I’ll probably end up choosing the animal since DH’s response is probably the typical “pick the one you want”.

Now that I am caught up again. I will vent. LOL.

I am kind of annoyed with SIL (the one who has a DS 4 weeks younger than M). She came over last night. She asked me “oh is M crawling yet?” I knew where she was going, so I didn’t really want to answer. But I said “not a real crawl.” She, then, proceeded to say that her DS is crawling everywhere on her bed, and how he is so fast, etc. From what she described, her DS is probably doing the army crawl. I responded with a not-so-enthusiastic “oh yeah”. I don’t understand her need to compare. I mean it’s different if she just says “oh, J is crawling everywhere now”. That would just be her telling us update on J’s developments, but asking me the question first makes me feel like she was comparing. Am I being overly sensitive? I just don’t want M to grow up feeling she needs to compete with her cousins or siblings. This is actually not the first incidents, but I think I am just getting tired of it.

Vent over. Feel better.

Bobo--
haha, you know I saw those protective head gear in one of those baby magazine.
it's not a true bike helmet in that it's made of soft vinyl or something.
DH actually thought that it would be a good idea to get one for J when she was starting to walk.
Knowing my little girl, I said that she'd probably spend the entire time trying to rip it off her head!
Wow, if your hubby is that protective of little B, imagine how protective he'll be of his little princess :D
Thanks, I may try soy w/ J although I'm a bit hesitant about it because she had reflux whn I was drinking soy when she was young.

ETA: i'd love to his little B w/ his new giraffe.
we got J this wooden caterpillar, and it look so cute when she tug it along as she walks.

Pave - Starting Tyler on cereal may help his yucky poops since it''s a little bit more solid. I''d start with about a tablespoon mixed with BM or formula and go from there.

DD - James is a grouch after his shots too - and also very sleepy. We purpously scheduled his 1 year visit for after his actual birthday so he''d be in good spirits for his party.

MrsS - Wow, that''s a long time for Jake to sleep! I''m insanely jealous!

Lili - No, we haven''t let James slide off of any furniture yet - but our couch is leather so it''s only a matter of time. The floors here are pretty even so we don''t have to worry about that.

Q - Awwww, you should post a pic of M on all fours. Sorry to hear that you SIL is turning parenting into a competition. All babies develop in their own time so there''s no need to worry.

My MIL''s surgery went well this afternoon and she''s in recovery right now. She''ll probably be home this weekend and we''ll have the results of her pathology reports in about a week. Her doctor says that it does''t appear to have spread so she should be in the clear
36.gif

QT--
We love the rat too. DH likes it because it has more realistic than the other animals.
And we were definitely sold when J went gaga over it :D
I hear you on your SIL''s need to compare.
Sometimes I hate it when my kid is born too close to a relative....just for that reason.
You are not being overly sensitive, there is definitely an air of competitiveness in her question and statements.
My cousin''s kid was born 3 days before J and my uncle (her grandfather) is always comparing her to J.
it''s funny how they forget or ignore the things that your kid is ahead and focus on things that their kids are ahead.
I''d hate to think what an earful I would have gotten if his granddaugther was ahead of J in the milestones -- fortunately that wasn''t the case.
But even then I still get, how come J doesn''t smile and giggle when you talk to her. Our K giggles and squeal w/ delight when we play w/ her.
Do I try to tell him that J only laughs at things that are new and different and she finds amusing? Nah, because I know he won''t hear it or think we are embellishing it:P
When my sister told him that J was crawling, he said something to the effect that J is probably just shifting on the floor and we call that crawl because his granddaughter just because his K is barely rolling over.
My sister got pretty fed up sometimes and told me to download some of my videos on my parents computer so that they can show him to shut him up

Blen,

George is beautiful with his little chin roll!!
9.gif

(Is his hair getting lighter?)

Thanks ladies for all the mommy support..my bff posted some pics of them on their way home (in the preggo thread). They finally discharged them and they are sooooo tiny I can''t believe it!...im in no condition to really to care for them so its nice to have lots of family here and dh being home.

T''s 15 month stats:
height: 33 inches (97th percentile)
weight: 23 lb (50th percentile)
head: don''t remember and too lazy to go check the sheet!
41.gif

And, while we were there we found out she has another ear infection and her lungs sounded horrible.
7.gif
So, she''s on a round of steroids along with more breathing treatments. Boo. I knew she was sounding bad the last couple days and had upped her treatments but must not have done the trick. Shoot.

mrss~Yay for being down to one feeding! Good luck with the remainder of the weaning!

iluv~Thanks! I''m loving the curls, too. I hope it doesn''t turn into wavy annoying hair like I have. Too funny about your bickering kids. No good that Dh is leaving. Boy can I relate to absent hubby....although I don''t have two kids bickering (however, does one who doesn''t talk well and whines when she wants something count?
9.gif
) I hope this builder works out. I''m so ready to get this process under way!

lili~Thanks! I wish I could get a better pic. T is a crazy girl. She plays hard! T didn''t like whole milk at first...I''d keep giving it to J and see what happens. Although, trying soy would probably be a good idea, too.

Bobo~Thanks! Too funny about your Dh being overprotective! My DH is the opposite....if our dog runs T over and she falls and cries he says she needs to get tougher!
20.gif
I''m like, "um, she''s 15 months" Men.

QT~Glad to hear the rash went away. Bored is okay as long as she doesn''t get crabby!
41.gif
Carrying for 3 miles would be horrible. Sorry about your SIL. I''ve been there (although it''s usually my MIL who''s comparing T and my nephew...who''s 2years older!
20.gif
) Makes me want to scream sometimes so I can absolutely relate. Feel free to vent any time you need!
2.gif
9.gif

Diva~Glad your MIL is doing well!

nyc~Popped over to the preggo thread and saw the twinks....so stinking tiny and adorable!! so glad you have a great support system to help you out. Enjoy those bundles of joy!!

Cute new pictures!!!!

Burk, T looks so happy! I think T has more than 12 but I don''t know. It will be nice to have MIL for sure. She suggested T sleep over at their house once a week so we can have a date night and sleep in. Okay with me! Sorry about T''s ear infection. That poor girl can''t catch a break!

MrsS, yes they are moving to Florida
7.gif
Hopefully we will visit but I doubt we will see them more than once a year. The girls love each other so much it is sad. Part of life though. I think they will try to come back to NC but the waiting list is SOOO long b/c everyone in his line of (secret) work wants to be here. The yard looks so good! Hope I don''t kill any of it. I know the pots will probably die once our crazy summer vacations happen. But hope the bushes last b/c those are a PITA to replant. We have clay soil here too so it is really difficult.

Blen, the first 4-6 months is TOUGH. Hang in there lady. Adorable new pic. I love baby fat though.
2.gif

iluv, the GTG was fun. It is always interesting meeting PSers even if it was more about babies than bling. You are so sweet. I guess I am not FAT just a little plump. My midsection is my problem area. She doesn''t ask questions yet and usually the talking is helpful like "up, off, more, all done..." but I know it will only get worse!

nyc, I did not have a c-sec but home you are feeling better. Congrats again mama! I heard cold cabbage leaves dries your milk right up. Stick them in your bra. Yay for the twins being home where they belong!

puffy, take some before and after pics! I love a nice looking closet. It is fun to get organized (I am a nerd). T has a reputation and she isn''t even a year and a half. Haha.

Q, hope M is okay! Congrats on raising lots of money for a good cause. Which stroller you using? You guys do sound like you are having a busy weekend. The farmer''s market was really fun. Sorry your SIL was competing. It is silly. If it makes you feel better T did the army crawl for MONTHS. Didn''t bother her. How close are you to her? If you are I would confront her and tell her what you are feeling.

Bobo, that is SOOOO cute!

pave, my mom left
15.gif
I''ll see her in June but she won''t see T in August. She was very sad about that. Yes my ILs are moving here for good. FIL is already here but MIL is staying in Ohio a few more months to get things in order (the close of their house, getting her mom moved to a new nursing home, etc...) Don''t worry, Tyler will play soon enough! And when he does it is so adorable!

DD, it usually IS user error. Don''t worry!

MrsS, yay for being down to one nursing!
36.gif
Little J is growing up.

Lili, so cute when they interact more. She still parallels with the twins. Maybe b/c they are a few months younger than her. Not sure why. I am tired of having the second worse yard in the neighborhood so I thought it was time to step it up. Everyone is noticing and liking!

Diva, glad your MIL''s surgery went well!

So I am not sure when I will be able to shower alone again. I got home from the gym and T was already in her PJs so I just jumped in and she spent the WHOLE time banging on the door, crying, screaming, so annoying!
20.gif

Tacori~I would so take your MIL up on the sleep over offer! That would be awesome!! Sounds like you and your mom did awesome in your yard. My mom is coming to help (read, do for me while I keep her company
3.gif
) me get my pots in order this weekend. DH does the landscaping so I just have 6 pots to fill. Want to get it looking good to get on the market! My T would do the exact same thing if she was in the room while I shower! I can only shower when she''s either asleep or DH has her in another room keeping her occupied. Tessa just wanted her mommy (and you say she wants nothing to do with you
9.gif
)

Real quick.

M just crawled on all four. woohoo. And she was able get back to a sitting position from the crawling position. But that might be a fluke.

no way i''m going to catch up. but i did want to say YAY for M for crawling!!!

we''ve been in and out of the burn unit today...poor guy''s arm had liquid oozing out and it kinda smelled. so i brought him in and it turns out that it was infected. they think it got infected cause when he gets carried, the part on the arm that got burned is right where i would pick him up so it''s constantly being rubbed and the skin being re-wounded. we go back friday, and hopefully it''s ok. once we got to the hospital where the burn clinic is at, he screamed "no way, mommy!!" and kicked and wiggled, bit the nurse and doc, punched them. i felt so bad for them.
hope everyone is doing well!!! be back tomorrow.

Qtiekiki, we end up getting him a "Go & Grow Lil'' Rollin" Giraffe" from little tikes. Little B is only careful with food in his food. Everything other than food not so much. Sorry to hear about your SIL wanting to compare, just ignore her. I don''t get how some people like to compete with other people''s kids. I understand when a parent gets concern if the baby isn''t hitting the milestone at a certain time but don''t make other parent feel like your kid is better than theirs. Yay on M crawling
36.gif

lili, that protective head gear sounds exactly what my DH want for little B. I think if our 2nd kid is a girl, DH will spoil her rotten and wrap bubbles around her. Maybe you can ask your pedi about the soy before giving it to J? I was so off on little''s new toy. It''s actually a "Go & Grow Lil'' Rollin'' Giraffe" from little tikes, I just rememberd it''s a giraffe. I am also getting him a Fisher Price Ride On/Trike/Tricycle - Ready Steady Rider off Craiglist and will go pick it up tomorrow.

Diva, glad to hear the surgery went well. Does she still need to have radiation treatment?

Burk, sorry to hear about T''s ear infection and her lungs. Poor baby~ hope she gets better soon.

NYC, the twins are so tiny and adorable!!

Thanks Tacori, so funny that Tessa won''t let you shower.

puffy, sorry to hear about B''s infected arm. I hope it''s nothing serious.

for some reason this reply got posted on the preggo thread instead of the mommies thread
33.gif

Q - yay Meena for crawling!! And I don''t think you''re taking your SIL''s comments too personally, either.

Puffy - poor little B.

Fishie - thank you! I think his hair is the same color, but I can''t really tell what it is. It looks different in different lights. I''d feel like a bad mom, but my mom wasn''t able to identify my hair color until I was like a year old.
5.gif

Burk - what beautiful curls!

DD - hope Hunter''s feeling better now.

Burk- I''m so bummed for you that T is having lung problems and ear infection again! Yuck. But her stats sound good!!! I''m glad to hear you got a new builder! Hooray. Thanks for the tips on the rice cereal. When did you start it for t? My friend said when there are allergies you wait longer to start other foods so I am hesitant. Were you told anything similar? I know it''s supposed to help the reflux so I would definitely be good on that front. I''m confused though.

Dd is Hunter feeling better yet? T was fussy at his 2 month shots and also this time at 4 month shots, although it did make him sleep more this time. Although I think the sleep fest is over
7.gif

MrsS I''m glad the weaning is going well. I''m sure it is bittersweet though to stop, huh? I forget, are you going away somewhere?

ILUv- good to see you. Do you have any more procedures, like LIli asked? I hope you are done. Sorry your kids are fussing with each other. My brothers and I were always arguing/fighting. My poor mom.

Lili- you know what? Tyler has been drooling for over a month. I have heard that it messes up the stools and can change them. I have even given that advice at work but forgot that could be it. Thanks for reminding me!!! maybe that''s it.

Bobo how does B like his giraffe? It sounds cute. I think your guy will be o.k. without a helmet. I know it''s so hard not to worry though. (on your dh''s part). it''s scary sometimes.

Q Im gonna try to do some pictures today. Hooray for M crawling!!!!!!! That is so exciting.

Diva thanks for the idea about the cereal. I probably will start it this weekend.

Hi Tacori- sorry your mom left! I miss my mom too. My parents keep waffling about whether or not they want to retire out here. I would be so happy. they would miss my nieces/nephews but they are a smidgen older(3-10) and there is some family drama at home. They kind of want to start over. We will see what happens...

Puffy - so sorry to hear about little b''s arm. Is it getting better? Are they doing antibiotics? Do you have to do dressing changes at home? That must be hard. I am afraid to cut tylers fingernails. and afraid to give him a bath. what a dork I am .

Tyler is doing pretty good. he wants to be held all the time though. oh well. another phase I guess? gotta go. he''s fussing!!!

Real quick:
Pave~When there are allergies/intolerances yes you sometimes wait longer for solid foods...but that usually means the actual veggies and fruits. Typically the rice cereal has nothing that should trigger (aside from the soy like I mentioned). We gave T rice cereal at 4 months and then with the approval of her allergist started mixing pears (very highly unlikely to be intollerant/allergic to) with the RC and then started her on sweet potatoes at 5 months because the girl ate like a champ. I did long trials with each new fruit and veggie (5 days with) so it took me months to get through all of them. Good luck!

QT, yay for M crawling!

PUFFY, so sorry to hear B''s arm is infected. Sending lots of healing dust his way!

D has started to roll over, both from tummy to back and back to tummy! A few months ago I saw him roll over from tummy to back once but that seemed to be a fluke. On Tuesday he rolled over from back to tummy twice. I missed it.
7.gif
Then when we were home I was trying to get him to roll over and he did tummy to back twice. I''m positive he CAN roll over, just not that interested. Yesterday he didn''t roll over once. He turns to the side a lot and I looks like he can easily flip himself over if he wanted to but he just doesn''t seem to like to. Maybe it''s just a matter of time. He also can kick and wiggle his body and move around quite a bit. I put him down horizontal and next thing I know he''s vertical kicking his crib. He also can sit and stand with little assistance. He can sit on his own for short periods.

I will be back later to catch up!
