Puff--ahh, B is such a sweetie pie. He is certainly a charmer and not shy at all! Glad he got to go outdoors this weekend. It was nice here too.

MrsS.--baby giggles are the best sound in the world. So funny that the fart noises did it--boys eh!

So the milk tolerance is getting better for Jake? That's promising! You haven't been for the appnt yet right? Let us know what the Dr. says. Does jake eat green veggies, fish, beans etc. pretty well? If so he can just get calcium that way. I know pretty much all kids are raised on milk but it is really not essential--it's mostly just conveinient. Takes more work to get it in other ways (living it) but definetly possible.

Blen--glad you are feeling better, but sucky about the mat leave ending soon. It's not easy, that's for sure. Even with a whole year off it was hard going back. You will adjust, it'll just take time.

Diva--sorry to hear about your MIL--i really hope she recovers well!!

Burk--ew, interviewing builders by yourself. You are braver than I. I wouldn't know where to start!? I am assuming u have a few lined up? Probably better to have to do this now..rather than after you started. I am sure it'll work out just fine. How long is DH away for?

My Co story for the week: When i put warm food on his tray i always get him to touch it before he shoves it in his mouth and tell him it's "hot! hot!" and then i blow on it. Lately he has started to copy the blowing and as soon as he sees his food and i say "hot" he starts to blow. Well, yesterday we were doing groceries and he was in the cart. I started to take off my jacket and i said to him, "mommy is hot"! Bet you can guess his response--ha, he blew on me
3.gif
Oh the cuteness!

.....
Maybe i should ask this question as a seperate thread but i am wondering, did anyone's fingers get bigger *after* having kids?
40.gif
LOL -I am serious. I don't know what is going on with my fingers. I can't get my wedding band on, or off, most days (my band is a 3.75 and my e-ring is a 4 and fits okay but still snug) . I know it is not a weight thing, i wore both my rings my entire pregnancy and i am about 3 lbs below what i was when i was engaged 3 ears ago. My theory was that my eczema was causing the problem (the prescription cream i have makes my skin tough when it heals) but i've always used that cream, well before this problem. I took my rings off around my DD b/c i didn't want them to go to the hospital with me, and when i came home the day after my birth--they didn't fit properly.
33.gif

I have a micro-pave eternity band so resizing is an issue. I am just really annoyed b/c i had to get my band sized *down* to a 3.75 but i now feel like i could comfortably wear a 4.5 or 5. I bought some cheap, white gold, plain band b/c my e-ring looked lonely, but i want my Michael B. back!!
Any theories anyone? Did my knuckles expand with my hips or something?
38.gif

Jas12~So cute about Co blowing on you. T blows on her food too. I love it. As for your rings, hmmmm, I don't know. I'm having the opposite problem...I'm about 5 lbs below pre-preggo weight and my rings are falling off. But, like you I'm not sure I want to resize them. I guess I would assume your fingers probably aren't going to go down again since you're weight is down and I'd go through the trouble of getting them sized up.

As for the builder interviewing, I'm so not looking forward to it. DH is out of town until Friday. He comes home and then leaves again on Monday for Texas. We've already interviewed three (then chose the one we chose) so I have a list of questions but I still don't want to go it alone but we're in a time crunch and don't really have other options.
8.gif

Jas12- I have heard of ring sizes changing after pregnancies and I think it''s actually pretty common. If you do have to have them sized up a bit, make sure you send them to MB to do it. I have inquired in the past about sizing their pave rings and they can do it a little bit but I would only let them be the one''s to touch it. My ring sizes went down and I''m about 3-4 lbs under my pre-preggo weight to the point that my hubby said I need to gain a little. I had a stomach flu a couple of weeks ago which didn''t help and I dipped even lower
14.gif

So, Jake''s dr. visit went well. we are going to take him off dairy for a couple of weeks and use a prescription cream to try and clear his skin completely and then slowly add it back. the dr. said that it''s so flared that even if he''s tolerating it now b/c it''s flared up it probably won''t heal without the help of some cream. She said that as babies get older their skin gets thicker too so even if he can''t tolerate it now he could very well handle it fine in a couple of weeks or months. She said 30% of babies eczema is food related and 70% just have it. We just don''t know which group Jake falls in. She also said that at this point the only think he needs to drink is water. Like you said Jas, he can get calcium etc. in other foods. she said a little juice was fine and I could try soy milk if I wanted to, but giving him only water was perfectly fine. Otherwise, he''s doing great. The poor boy had to have 4 shots, 2 in a leg and one in each arm. Then they had to do the finger prick to test for lead and anemia. I swear it just doesn''t get easier seeing your baby get poked
8.gif

Here are his stats:

weight: 22 lbs 4 oz (40%)
height: 28 3/4 inches (25%)

38.gif

This isn''t scientific or anything, but my knuckles have gotten bigger since having kids, and I think it is b/c of all the carrying and lifting. I use my hands in all sorts of ways that I never did before and it made my hands stronger and a little wider. Especially my left side which is the one I would scoop up Sammy with and perch him on my hip while chasing after Ava
32.gif
Just my theory.

Burk--
Yes, pics of those curls please
5.gif

Ugh about having to interview for new builders by yourself.
Good luck though.

Jas12--
Hehe...that is too cute! So does he proceed to grab at you like his food too? LOL.
I''ve heard of people (my officemate being one of them) fingers and feet going up in size after pregnancy.
Is it just tight going on over the knuckles or tight on?

MrsS--
Poor Jake.
Didn''t know that they''ll need 4 shots and 2 pricks for lead and anemia testing.

lili- it was just one prick for the lead and anemia, they filled two of those little cylinders with just the one prick. but, needless to say he was crying so hard and it just makes me feel so bad for him. I did give him tylenol right before the visit. he bounced back pretty quickly though, ate a great lunch and is asleep now and i''m hoping he takes a nice long nap. I''m also going to aggressively start the weaning since I got the okay from the dr. I''m so ready to be done nursing!

MrsS--
I''m so ready to wean myself too -- these accidental bitings are killing me.
The thing is, J doesn''t eat nearly as much solid as Jake or Co and is not liking the whole milk, so I''m afraid she''d be starving if I do.
Perhaps I should just bite the bullet and weaned and that''ll force her to eat more solid or drink the whole milk.
She didn''t drink enough whole milk for me to know if she can tolerate it.

Great stats for Jake.
It looks like he didn''t grow much since he''s last appt huh?
All those food must be going into gearing up for his walking
5.gif

Curly, love Lucy''s easter outfits. Look at her smile, so cute!

AllieLuv, the boys are just so handsome.

Jas, very cool present. How nice of her. So funny Co blew on you, what a smart kid! As fingers get bigger, mine never shrink back down after the birth. So e-ring and wedding ring don''t fit anymore. I now wear the ring I set the stone my DH bought me when I was preggo with little B and a plain platinum band.

Tacori, so funny Tessa says "more" for anything. We''re beginning to think little B says "elmo" what he really want is to watch the t.v.

DD, That is what I did after I read Lindsey''s story. I went to hugged little B and felt I''m so lucky to have a healthy baby but of course little B pushed me away run off
20.gif

according to my MIL pampers are better so we''ve been using pampers since day one and had no blow out problem. Maybe you can try it and see if you like it.

puffy, little B actually love fruits so he''ll eat any kind of fruit we give him. He especially love sour fruit, like his dad I guess. How is B doing? is the arm healing up? You have one very sweet boy!

Thanks lili, I want to get the cow for him but DH think he''ll fall backward riding on the cow so we''ll probably get something else from BRU. He emailed me a bunched of link this morning so I''m going to go check it out and see if there''s anything that is as cute as the cow.

Diva, sorry to hear your MIL has cancer. How old is she? Sending some dust her way~ Hope her surgery goes well on Wed.

MrsS, how cute, wish I can hear Jake love. Babies laughter are the best sound in the world. Little B can''t tolerate whole milk too so the pedi said we can just give him soy milk.

Burk, sorry to hear you had to switch builder, hope you find a new one soon.

Not much going on with little B, he started to blow kisses and said "bye bye" yesterday which is really cute.

I do think babies would keep nursing forever if we let them. Jake doesn''t drink very much at all and I was only nursing him 2x a day. I figure he''ll eat/drink when and if he''s hungry or thirsty enough. I bet J will do the same thing. It might take a couple of days but she''ll eat when she''s hungry. Jake actually will crawl up in my lap and try to nurse. He gets upset if I don''t let him. But, I stick to my guns and will not nurse him during the day. I''m going to try and get down to one by the end of this week and then eliminate it altogether by next week. wish me luck
3.gif

You are right, Jake didn''t grow much. I think this is when babies growth rates start to slow down and they aren''t gaining like they do the first year. plus, they do become more active and are burning calories.

MrsS--sounds like the appnt was a success. Great that you can start weaning. I am going to drop another feeding in May. I''ll be down to 2 then. I think the AM feeding will be the worst to drop. Co whines and whines to be nursed about a 1/2 hr after he gets up and he barely comes up for air. I wonder what kind of fit he''ll throw when i give him a glass of water instead--eek
5.gif
What feeding is Jake most dependent on? Will you go all at once?
-I think i''ll wait till i am thru having kids before i mess with my MB bands, cuz it''s tricky work and you are right, best left to the experts! I am not wearning my band on a daily basis, but if i go out i try to squeeze it on.

Burk--geez, you have a lot on your plate while DH is gone. I understand the time constraint. I am sure you are like us and want to maximize the buildable weeks of weather!

Lili--mostly tight around the knuckle but hard to tell since my knuckles are pretty even with the width of my finger. Interesting that your office mate noticed it too.
Are you down in weight now too? Seems to me like moms who are still nursing after a year take a drop in weight. I think it is running after the newly-mobile kid combined with producing milk for the big appetite. I am not near as thin as you and MrsS. but i have noticed a significant drop in the past month or so.

Iluv--you may be onto something there--i do use my hands WAY more--could even just be swelling, or changes in the joints due to hormones? Things that make you go hmmmm...

CURLY, I love Lucy''s Easter outfits! She''s adorable! She looks so big too! Where did our babies go?

ALLIE, your nephews are so cute! Love the blue eyes! Thanks for sharing.

PUFFY, QT and me are going to meet on Sat for lunch. We''re working out the details. Can you definitely join us? I hope so! B is so funny and caring. I want to meet both of you!

LILI, after almost a week, the nasty clog is finally gone! Thanks goodness! Just dealing with two milk blisters now. It seems to never end!

BURK, glad you enjoyed your weekend! Sorry to hear about the bump in the road. Good luck with finding a builder.

BLEN, sorry to hear about your clog that won''t go away. I had a bad one last week so I feel your pain. Try lots of warm compress and massaging? Sorry to hear your maternity leave is a third over. 6 weeks is not enough.
39.gif

DIVA, sorry to hear about your MIL. Sending good thoughts her way.

DD, I think some poop blowouts are normal. But can''t hurt trying another brand and size to see if that helps.

MRSS, how cute about Jake laughing at fart noises. We found a spot near D''s chest area and when we kiss him on that spot he bursts out laughing! I LOVE it!

JAS12, how funny Co blew on you to cool you off. How adorable! Sorry to hear about the ring size issue. During and after pregnancy my finger swelled but it went back down to normal size.

BOBO, yay for kisses and bye bye''s!

mrss~Glad Jake's appt went well. Our GI doc said the same thing...water is perfectly fine.

lili~I'll try and get a good one of the curls. As for weaning...in our experience (although we were weaning from a bottle I think it's the same concept) T figured it out and drank when she was thirsty after a few days.

bobo~Isn't "bye bye" so cute?
30.gif

Jas12~Yea, a lot to do without DH. We want to maximize good weather (ie-dig our hole by June 1st) but we also don't want to be in the finishing stages in the dead of winter and have to move in in the cold.....so if we dig by June 1st we should be in by November or early December. Ideally we'd like to dig by May 15th...we shall see. Have you guys started construction?

snlee~Thanks!!

Hi gal pals!

Lots to catch up on...

puffy, glad B is doing better. And identifying animals, wow!

MrsS, I didn''t even think about the peanut oil in Chick-fil-A. I love that stuff, and was going to feed it to Amelia, but I didn''t want to chance her barfing at the mall. Jake sounds like he is doing well based on his stats! That''s no good about his skin though...I hope all clears up soon and the milk is fine for him for sure. And lol, I think all boys think fart noises are funny...it''s in the genetic code!!

Jas12, Co''s comprehension never ceases to amaze me! As for the ring sizes, I can''t say because I''m still holding preggo weight but my right knuckle did get big enough that I can''t put my size 5 ring on them anymore. I can still get my e-ring and wband over my left knuckle, but there''s too much fat on the finger to be comfy.

Burk, that is a bummer about the builder...what happened? Doesn''t sound like a fun job to interview a new one at all!

Blen, sounds like George is doing great! Bummer on the mastitis. I hope things get better in that department soon, but you also have lots of girls here who can give you great advice on BFing. I''m with you on the maternity leave countdown...it is depresssing, but I do promise it gets better. It''s just so hard to imagine being away from the little one at first.

Curly, TWO easter outfits?! You got one stylin'' little girl there!

Allie, did you take those photos? They are great!!

Tacori, I forgot that you dad said no sunscreen for the first year. I am finally using it with Amelia, as she is over one, so that''s good. Plus timing is great because it''s been hot here and I don''t think I can put long sleeves and pants on her when we go to the park...it was sweltering over the weekend. I wish I could see video of Tessa at the farmer''s market...bet it was fun!

lili, J''s hair looks great...she doesn''t need a cut. I have cut Amelia''s 3 times or so...her''s was really funky. Since she doesn''t watch TV as a whole, I''ll turn it on for 5 minutes while I cut her hair. She doesn''t move, which is great. But only when the TV is on! Hope you enjoyed our warm weather here this weekend. I''m ready to take the kid to the pool, whaddaya think?
1.gif

Well, as for my Amelia update - I think I just have to threaten her with therapy and she''ll be fine.
20.gif

She''s now:

- crawling normally (which started the afternoon or so of her one year appointment)
- pulling up on everything
- cruising, including a few "advanced" moves (and of course, I mean advanced for her, not for the normal, non gimpy baby!)

She''s also eating much better. Still picky, but back to at least trying things. She''s also into doing this god-awful scrunched up face, toothy grin that makes me laugh every time.

Two more bottom teeth popped up last week (a couple of teeth away from the bottom sides) for a total of 10 now. She''s also the highest producer of boogers per capita I''ve ever seen.

tgal- i"m so glad you mentioned the peanut oil. I told my dr. what I did and she said it was totally fine. she said at this point i should be introducing a lot of new foods and he's going to get all sorts of things. her theory is in general if a kid is going to be allergic they will be by the time they are 12 months which is why they suggest waiting until 12 months to introduce many foods but pretty much anything is fair game from here on own except for obviously choking hazards like nuts etc. So, she said since he didn't react to the chick filet he's fine to eat it. she did say that since he does have the skin issues and we don't know if it's food related that I should still introduce new foods like shellfish etc. one at a time to make sure he doesn't have a reaction. very interesting I thought though.....

re sunscreen: my ped. said no sunscreen for 6 months too but if you are going to be in the sun it's better to use it than to not. but shade and being covered is the best protection. with 2 bigger kids I had to go to the pool and the entire pool was in the sun so I figured better to have something on him then nothing while he's directly in the sun.

ETA: in some ways I'm glad we are finally past the 12 month mark so I can stop worrying about all this stuff...food, sunscreen/no sunscreen...vit. D drops..etc, etc, etc..

DD, it is very heart breaking to hear when parents lose a child. Never gets easier to understand. I would try pampers. I HEART pampers. Not that she never had blow outs but they were minimal and many caused by user error.
2.gif
You are LUCKY you have an easy baby. I hope my #2 is easy.

TGal, how is little miss A doing?

Lili, T didn''t leave her BOB at the Farmer''s market. Some elderly farmer said I had a "very nice three wheeler" haha. Don''t worry about J (in regards to weening). If she is hungry...she will eat.

Burk, I hear ya. I need to stop spending so much (though the clothes for for ME for a change). Exciting about meeting with the builders. I can relate to an absent dad. My DH works all the time too. He did take her to the baseball game on Friday night and of course she was "perfect" for him.

Blen, there is a point (around G''s age) that babies WAKE up. They are no longer those sleeping little angels. T had it bad and cried ALL the time. White noise saved both of our lives. She found the vacuum sound very soothing so we burned the mp3 on a cd and played it nonstop for the first three months. Hope your DH finds a job soon. Sorry about the baby blues. I know all the working moms on here had the same sadness so you aren''t alone.

Diva, well I won''t be totally alone. I am visiting my sister and meeting my mom out there. I am excited but will miss T like crazy. She is NOT shy at all. Even with grown-ups.

MJrsS, sounds like J is doing great. I love when they develop a sense of humor.

puffy, yay B is playing outside and is a happy little boy again!

Jas12, funny story. Kids are hilarious. Sorry to hear about your ring.

Bobo, you are probably right. Elmo=TV.

Snlee, how is D doing?

TGal, my dad RARELY freaks out about stuff too. I heard it is super hot in CA right now.

Gotta go. She is bored and keeps trying to close my laptop saying "all done." Such a turkey!

Jas12--
Haha, more like gained another 4 lbs.
My legs as thick as when I was preggo.
As I was telling Tacori-- must be all those chocolate cake and cookies that I didn''t hold back on
14.gif

I snack just as much as pre-preggo, but somehow the weight is piling on post preggo.

TGal--
Hehe, didn''t I tell you to threaten her
2.gif

That''s great. Sounds like A is hitting those milestones perfectly.
And she''s got 2 more teeth on J -- she''s got 8 still, though I think she may be having some coming up.
She keeps putting her index inside her mouth to the side.

Haha, there is no way I could cut her hair even if I wanted to.
She would not sit still for anything
38.gif

I know, it''s sweltering hot the last two days.
They have all the babies in diapers and playing w/ water outside when we took J into class today.
DH is anxious about putting J in the pool.
I hesitated last summer because I didn''t want the chlorine to aggravate J''s ezcema.

*tapping feet* still waiting for those pictures young lady.

Tacori--
You guys are right, she''ll eat when she''s hungry.
I should just go ahead and start the weaning process.
It is hot today.
We had to turn on the AC last night.
What''s the weather like over there?

TGAL, yay! Sounds like Amelia is doing great!

TACORI, lol at Tessa. Have fun playing with her!

D update -

We had a wonderful weekend! The weather was so nice - warm and sunny! We took D to the park and the beach. He loved the park! I went down all the slides with him. He really enjoyed his first time in the swing! He kept laughing. It was so cute! We had so much fun. The beach wasn''t such a hit with him. He started screaming right when we arrived and cried a lot of the time. Not sure if he was tired (although he seemed fine when we took him home) or if he didn''t like the sun and ocean.

D seems to have regressed a little in the sleep department. Not going down as easily and not sleeping that long. We''re lucky if he sleeps a straight 6 hours now. With my clog last week, I started BFing him in the middle of the night if he woke up and now I need to stop that. I realize he''s going to have good and bad nights so hopefully he''ll start having more better nights!

Here''s a picture of D at the park

IMG_1695-1.jpg

Tgal~Long story short, we showed up to work on our plans last Friday night and they told us they estimated wrong and our plan would cost an additional $70K to build!
23.gif
Don't feel comfortable with someone who can mess up that much. Sad because we really like them and our friends had a great experience with them. We're still talking with them...but feel like we need to trust them to build our house and we're not sure we can..if that makes sense. So glad that A is proving the therapy requests wrong and crawling, cruising and eating better. Yay for more teeth, too. T is getting her 11th right now...she is getting hers so out of order it's ridiculous, though.

Tacori~Yay for getting buying yourself stuff while shopping! I do that too much unfortunately.
3.gif
I want to get a builder chosen (again) so that we can move forward. We need to get moving so that weather isn't a factor. It's hard feeling like a single mom sometimes. I'm sure harder for you because you don't have family to help babysit. Good think your IL's will be around (well good in this sense) T is always "perfect" for my DH when he takes her places too. He can never understand why I don't want to take her places because "she doesn't do that for me"
20.gif
I'm like "you have NO idea"
9.gif

Snlee~that pic of D is so cute!!! melts my heart. Sorry for sleep regression. Hope he's back on track soon!!!

Burk--
23.gif
23.gif
that''s a pretty huge "oops, we''ve miscalculated".
how is their updated price compared w/ other builders?

snlee--
Great pic of D!
Look how happy he is in the swing?
Sorry to hear that he''s regressed a bit in the sleep dept.
It''s just a phase....he''ll be back to his old routine.

snlee- that is such and adorable pic of D....he''s sooo cute!

okay, so Jake''s dr. just called and he''s slightly anemic. I''m going to have to get a liquid multi-vitamin with iron to give him every day and they said they''d recheck at his 15 month...(tacori- is it your dr. who doesn''t do the 15 month? I didn''t think mine did either but apparently they do) we''ll be back in TN by then though and I don''t know if my old ped. does it or not. I guess I''ll have to find out or at least let them know and see if they''ll want him to come in for a re-check...i told hubby I should just serve him a steak for dinner
3.gif

MrsS--
LOL....I''m sure Jake would gobble it down if he''s got the molars to chew!
So is this the first time that you''ll be giving him vitamins?
I was going to ask you mommas which vitamin brands and when you all start giving them to your babies?

MRSS, good luck with weaning. I''m sure it''ll feel so nice once you''re done. Sorry to hear Jake is a little anemic. Are you giving him Polyvisol With Iron?

LILI, we gave Polyvisol With Iron to D to give him extra iron since he was born early. We stopped when he started eating RC since that has iron. I''m not sure when babies normally need to start vitamins.

DH and I are thinking about taking a trip to Toronto alone. My parents are willing to watch D, which I am very thankful for. However, I am having a hard time deciding if I want to bring him or not. We need to make up our minds soon though so we can get him a passport if he''s coming with us. I know it''ll be very nice for DH and I to have some alone time together and the trip would be more enjoyable without him. It''s hard to think about being away from him though! Also the trip is right after he turns 1. My goal has always been to BF until he''s 1. I''m concerned he won''t be weaned in time. How long does it usually take to wean gradually? BFing moms, any advice? What would you do? Take or leave baby?

Okay, there is no way I can catch up, but big shout outs to all the mommies!

Jas My fingers are bigger too! I am carrying a little more weight still, but I feel like it is my knuckles now the lower finger part that is bigger. I notice it most on my RH, which used to be about a 7 and is now probably a 7.5 or maybe an 8! I was going to start a thread about it because I am unsure whether to resize some of my rings or keep them the same and see what happens later.

Lili, remember YOU are the boss!
2.gif
I tell Tessa "I am the boss not you" all the time. Haha. She likes to pretend she is. It is beautiful here. Mid-70s. My mom and I did a lot of yard work this past weekend. Planted 5 bushes, 3 flower plants, weeded (a ton), planted 4 pots and got 3 hanging flower pots. *sigh* It looks really good. T is not on vitamins.

Snlee, we ended up taking a walk. She had cabin fever I think. Yay for D at the park. He is so adorable! T loves the swings and slides too. I have to force her off. Hope he has some good nights soon. Try pumping in the middle of the night if you need to. It is SO easy to start bad habits with babies but luckily they can be retrained quickly. I would leave D. It is so nice to have some alone time with your DH. Obviously my Bfing was different since T weened herself. But I dropped the last 2 feedings at once since she was NOT interested. I was fine. Not even a clog! You always could pump while gone for the few feedings you might do or that will be a good end date to make sure he is weened.

Burk, I have stopped counting T's teeth. She has gotten some molars and back teeth that are really hard to see. She'll bit me if I try to feel in there. Sorry the estimate was so wrong. Bummer. I buy myself a lot too but it is difficult b/c I have been so many different sizes this past year.

my fault since (DH likes to point out) I haven't really "suffered" yet. It is hard feeling like a single mom with no real support system. Things will improve when MIL moves down here this summer. I know if I am sick or something she would gladly take T off my hands. But I am proof that you CAN do it (almost) alone for 17+ months. I was glad she was good b/c then they had fun. He said they had a blast and she was standing on her seat and he saw another couple watching her with "envy in their eyes" (his words). Haha. He is so proud of his daughter.

MrsS, yes, T has not had a check-up since her 12 month. Her 18 month check-up is in May. I am sure if you tell your old doc that her new doc was worried about his iron they will gladly check him. I just think maybe my doc doesn't give shots at 15 months therefore doesn't want us to come in. In a way it is nice b/c the doc's office is always so germy.

This morning was fun. My friend is moving
39.gif
and I watched her 21 month old this morning while the guys loaded her moving truck. The girls get along so well but today they were having a blast. They were actually playing TOGETHER. E would ride on T's car (push toy) and T was pushing her around. E found a brush and started brushing T's hair. E was playing with the piggy back so T was handing her the coins. It was stinking ADORABLE. They would even run around just giggling and shrinking. So sad they are leaving. I took pics at least of the cuteness.

ETA: DD, we were posting at the same time. I would wait on sizing your rings. I guess Jas12 you should too since you want more kids soon. My rings fit which is funny since I am 10 lbs heavier. But for reasons like you guys listed I don't think I will ever get an eternity band again. Love the look but not worth the risk.

lili well thank goodness that J isn''t on her nursing strike! that girl is a stubborn one for sure. that''s so funny cause B totally took to the whole milk right away. it might work if you put the milk in a cute cup. i put milk in a different cup than water for B. but then again he has like 6 water bottles lying around the house.

burk sorry to hear about the builders and that you have to go through it without your DH. how is T doing? i enjoyed my mini pampering this morning. i even had enough time to get a massage. haha. my mom watched B for me and he had a blast with her, or should i say that she had a blast with him. haha.

jas12 OMG, i love your Co story. he is such a funny one. B still blows on his food now, but only when he knows that it''s something that''s hot.

mrsS glad to hear that Jake''s doc visit went well. poor Jake with his skin flare ups, and i can totally relate cause B has the worse eczema, but thankfully it seems to be under control now. and i guess B is one of those kids who just have it cause it doesn''t flare up with food or anything. i''m just waiting patiently for the day that it decides it wants to go away. and jake sounds like quite the healthy little guy!!!

bobo that''s good that little B eats his fruits. B loves his fruits too. B''s doing ok. his arm looks better each day, and he definitely shows no sing of being emotionally scarred from the incident. but sometimes, when i put sun block on the burns, he will cry and say "ouch!!" but i know it doesn''t hurt him, he''s probably just scarred from the hospital and all the nurses touching it all the time. awwwww, i love when they blow kisses...it is so darn cute!!!

snlee didn''t you just enjoy the weather??? it''s been so darn nice out! i''ll check if i can meet you guys, i really hope i can cause i would love to meet your little ones and you guys too of course!! and D is an absolute cutie pie!!! glad that he loved the swing. as for weaning D, it really depends on the kid. my nephew weaned just like that. my SIL decided that she was going to stop nursing the day he turned 1, and that day was when he stopped nursing. other kids i know, it takes more time, and you have to slowly take away 1 feeding at a time. and it also depends how D does on whole milk as well. it''s a tough decision to take him or leave him. i''m sure it''ll be nice to get away with your DH and have time for the tow of you guys, but i''m also sire that you''ll be thinking about D every second.

tgal glad to hear that amelia is doing well!! sounds like she is right on track, and yay for her eating more!!

tacori awww, how cute that they were playing together!! would you say that t is ready for a little brother or sister? how is miss T doing anyways?

another gorgeous day, but maybe too hot if that''s possible. B and i are off to the park and run some errands.

Puffy, it was so cute b/c it was the first time I saw REAL interaction (not just parallel play) between her and a friend. Her friend has always loved her and started saying "tea-sa" 6 months or so ago. I guess she asks for T all the time. So much all her extended family knows about Tessa (not me) haha. Hopefully they will move back one day. Not sure she cares if she has a brother or sister. But neither are coming along anytime soon. How is the closet situation going?

snlee- I agree with Tacori that you should leave D if you can. If you want him weaned by one start cutting back nursing sessions at about 9 1/2 months. I've have Jake down to 2 a day for a few weeks now and was just waiting for the dr. okay to wean completely so I'm going to go down to one this week and then hopefully drop that a few days after that and be done. You can do it, just plan ahead and try eliminating one nursing session a week. some gals don't offer both sides when the wean so the baby isn't getting much and may give up and think it's not worth it and sort of self wean that way too.

tacori-sorry your friend is moving. is it to a new city? so cute when kids start to really play "with" each other! your mom did some serious work on your yard. my mom is a totally mommy green thumb and loves to garden. I did not inherit that gene. thank goodness my hubby actually likes to do yard work so our yard doesn't look totally barren.

puffy-hope you and b have fun at the park! it's 46 and rainy here today

lili- my dr. wanted me to start Jake on a D vitamin back when he was an infant b/c there isn't much in breastmilk and I wasn't supplementing with forumla that has it added. I never bought any though. so he's not been on any vitamin at all. I do have my girls on vitamins only b/c I worry that they just don't get everything they need in their diets even though we try.

lili~Yea, that''s what we thought. We realize there''s going to be additional costs here and there and have set our budget accordingly, but that''s a pretty big "oops"
33.gif
We''re meeting another builder I spoke to on the phone today that I really like on Saturday when DH gets back. He seems to think he can complete our plan within our budget. We shall see.

mrss~Sorry Jake''s a bit anemic. I don''t remember our pedi testing for that at 12 months....wonder if they will at her 15 mo this week?

snlee~I vote for going on your trip alone. You''ll miss D, but you also need time alone with just you and your DH and traveling with a one year old would be trying at best!
41.gif

Tacori~You know, I am not even sure my count is right on teeth...it''s only from looking in there when she''s upside down laughing.
3.gif
Having your MIL around to help you out will really help I think. I had a terrible migraine this past summer and DH was out of town (imagine that) and I don''t know how I would have taken care of T while puking and miserable without my MIL coming over. I guess I sometimes take them for granted. So cute that your DH was so proud of T. Sad about your friend moving with their little one. Good thing you caught some pics.

puffy~Glad you were able to get out and get pampered today! A massage sounds heavenly. T is doing pretty good. She''s still not napping great at daycare so she''s been going to bed pretty early which kind of sucks because on nights like tonight DH only got to see her for 5 minutes.
15.gif
She went and got her blanket and said "night night" at 5:45!

i''m also not going to be able to get caught up with everyone. g''s basically eating non-stop right now & doesn''t want to be put down.

tacori/burk - thanks for the info about this age. i had been thinking that i must have the easiest baby ever, but now - yikes!

tac - t sounds so cute. i''m sorry your friend is moving away.

burk - that''s a bummer.

puffy - i''m jealous about your weather. it''s also cold and rainy here.

tgal - that''s great about amelia!
