Burk, Hope you will be able to change your DH mind.

Thanks Curly, I remember reading that somewhere online or in the book with no straight honey until after one but I wasn''t sure if it apply to the honey that was baked into bread.

lili, I don''t think the fat will work too well on little B. We feel his body doesn''t absorb the food that he eats. After we start adding fats in his diet, all his poops have a shiny coat on the poop like it''s been dipped in oil. I was a string bean when I was young and I remember the doctor told me that if there is 100 cal in a bowl of rice, my body probably only absorbed 30 cal. So we figure little B might be like me.

J looked like a big girl in the pictures, no longer a baby. Such a beautiful girl! J''s birthday cake is so cute, what flavor was it? She looked so cute on her mouse ride, can you tell me where I can find one for little B?

Diva--
Every year, I tell myself that I would be on top of the tax return and not wait till the last minute,
but it somehow always get filed 1-2 days before the deadline -- at least this year I have an excuse
41.gif

Bobo--
LOL....that''s sooo funny about the poop laced w/ oil.
I''ve never seen that.
Oh, I just googled on Wheely Bug and then picked from whichever website that has the mouse in stock.
Most companies carry the ladybug, bee, and cow. Only a few has the mouse.
There is one australian or UK company that has a wide assortment of wheely (like lion, tiger, bear, etc) -- I forgot which one.

lili-looks like J has a wonderful first B-day party. she''s a smart girl if she see things on a computer and knows that she wants them. the only thing jake "asks" for is food items..ha... he will go and get a ball and roll it to me and engage me in a game of catch, well it''s really roll but still kinda fun
41.gif
I''m convinced all the PS babies are brilliant though...

Thanks everyone! You all rock, PS is so great.

I am not convinced now that he has a serious case of torticollis... just based on watching him carefully today. Already he seems to be responding well to the excercises and seems more willing/able to move his head to the left etc. But it can''t hurt to do these excercises and make sure about the head positioning so I am going to keep it up. We see the doctor next week for his 2 month check and I''ll ask more then and see if a referral to physio makes sense.

Bobo--
Forgot to say that the cake is Tres Leche.
And J did have a couple of fork-full of it
5.gif

lili I so LOVE all the pics of J!!! she is such a pretty girl. i know i tell you that every time! did she enjoy the cake? and i am so glad that you got birthday hats!!

qt M is adorable!! i love the bunny ears, although it doesn''t look like she likes them in the first pic.

bobo sounds like little B has the opposite problem of B. b just puts on weight like no tomorrow even though he is so active. but since the burn incident, he needed an extra 800 calories a day. i didn''t even know that he needed so many without the burns. so for a lot of the extra calories, i just gave him some of his favorite snacks. what kind of snacks does little B like?

burk so TTC is on hold? that would probably work out better with the building of your house. with the burn incident,i really don''t know if i am THAT good of a mom to handle 2 kids. i definitely want to have another, but don''t know what i would do if something like this happened again.

so we had a WONDERFUL appt today. i could not have asked for anything more. the doc gave the a-ok on letting B play outside for short periods of time with a ton of sunblock on. i was so relieved that B can go play. and no more dressings and ointments, except for that small patch on his arm. i don''t have to wrap him up like a mummy anymore. thank god!!! the only thing that i am worried about is the scratching cause i know he scratches like crazy when he is asleep, but the doc reassured me that it would be fine as long as i file his nails everyday. so we got home from the doc and first thing i did was slather him with sunblock and let him outside. he didn''t even wait for me to hold his hand down the stairs, that''s how excited he was. he did cry when i had to bring him back in, but i let him back out a little later. he was so excited to bird watch. when the birds came chirping, he screamed for me and pointed to the birds and laughed. i almost cried cause he was so happy. i am so ready to put all this behind us. even better is that we don''t have to go back until next week.
sorry for such a long update, but i was really happy and excited.

MrsS--
She did have fun and was so spent by the end of the day.
You can see how tired she looked in some of the pictures.
Ha, I don''t know if I''d say smart. But it was interesting seeing that she can differentiate between the different animals.
I tested her 3 times and w/ the same reaction and her face lit up when we brought it out for her.
Unfortunately her 2 older boy cousins were quite the bully and just pried her hands away from the handle when they saw it too
9.gif

haha, i wish that J would "asks" for food. she''ll try alot of things, but she eats every little of each.
that''s so cute and fun that Jake will get the ball and engage in a game of "roll and catch" with you
5.gif
they are growing so fast eh
39.gif

DD--
That''s great.
I think most babies (even adults) favor one side.
We just have to make sure that they don''t spend too much time on that side since their heads are so soft and is moldable at the moment.

Oops...here''s the first bite of sweet!

bd_eatcake.jpg

here''s one w/ her hoodie on.

bd_hoodie.JPG

lili OMG, i love that pic with her hoodie on!!! it looks super professional and you could really see her great features in that pic! she''s so beautiful.

Puffy--
Thanks again
5.gif

She did enjoy the three milk cake very much.
That''s probably the only sweet she''ll have til her next bday (or one of her cousin''s bday
9.gif
)
Ha, I got hats and those blower things too (but of course the little ones couldn''t blow them because they were not designed for toddlers).

That''s great the appt went well and little B got the ok''ed to go outside.
I''m sure B must be itching to get out being the outdoorsy kid that he is.
It''s a good thing that it is not summer so the sunlight isn''t too strong.

Ahhh, you are a good mom. Accidents happen, especially when you got a curious george on your hand.
We can''t keep our eyes on them every second of the day. Hopefully little B will learn now to stay away from hot cups of tea.

lili
Aww J is super cute. Glad she like the Wheely rat ride. I''ve heard and read great things about it, so that''s y I wanted to get it. And J confirmed that it''s a much loved toy.

I don''t think her face is b/c she doesn''t like the bunny ears. It''s more b/c she wanted to play with it and put it in her mouth.

Hoodie baby!!!

I''m loving that!! Cuteness beyond belief!!
9.gif

Lili--If you need a break from J, send her my way, she is so adorable i would put up with her sassy ways and lack of naps (for a little while anyway)

--those are fantastic pictures! Much better than mine, so i don''t know what you were complaning about.

DD: It sounds like a slight case to me too, so don't worry. Head exercises are great for the baby anyway, so doesn't hurt to do them, but don't stress since it's not like he's been diagnosed with anything yet (at which point p/t would be more beneficial anyway). The exercises I did were just side to side and holding the position for 10secs..did it 2-3 x a day, but I slacked too (not as diligent as TGAL!). I just really didn't think she had torticollis since she turned her head easily..she just preferred one side, like NF said. So I was more vigilant about tummy time.

Also wanted to add (since I did so much research) that there are different versions of "flat head". If the back of the head is flat (ie from laying on back) then the head is more football shaped (to make an extreme example). If one side is flat (what C had, from the womb and me carrying her on one side I believe), then it evens itself out on the other side (looks like a 'bulge'). From the top of the head, you will see the ears are asymetrical (one more out front). BUT this does go away/normalize if you start the remedies you're already starting. I'm sorry that I forget how old Hunter is, but I think he's under 3mo's, so you have tons of time. Keep us posted!

Lili:
Thanks for the pictures..is that your house? Very elegant. And J is beautiful!!!!

Puffy: That is wonderful about B, you must be so relieved and it's so sweet hearing your updates. yay!!

Mrssalvo - That is so cute that Jake plays catch with you! James loves it when you take a ball and roll it to him - he''ll roll it back and then clap
30.gif

Puffy - I''m so glad that B is making a quick recovery! I am sure that he''ll enjoy being able to go outside and get some fresh air and get some of his energy out.

Lili - OMG, those pics of J are so cute! I love the pics of babies eating cake for the first time.

FYI - NYC on the preggo board had her twins yesterday afternoon. A boy and a girl - they are in the NICU but are breathing on their own. I think she was 35 weeks. I keep checking for an update and pics
12.gif

morning all...

so Jake''s skin is actually pretty clear today so I''ve decided to try giving him a little whole milk in a sippy. we''ll see how he does. he goes to the ped. on monday for his 12 month so I''ll at least have a recent dairy test/result to share. I really really hope he won''t react to it though.

gotta run...be back in bit..

curly~Thanks! Hopefully the good naps continue this weekend when she's home with me!
5.gif

lili~Love the b-day photos!! Like the others said-she looks like a little girl, not a baby! Have you cut her hair? I've been thinking of evening T's out in the back....hmmmm......

Bobo~I hope I'm able to change his mind too...or that we won't have to worry about it. Fingers crossed.

mrss~Did I miss something? Is Jake walking? Hope the milk trial goes well. T still is unable to tolerate a "normal" days worth of milk.

puffy~TTC is kind of on hold. We've just got so much going on that starting to actually try (by that I mean charting) is on hold. That and DH is out of town at least 4 out of 7 days in the next 4 weeks.....chances are pretty slim that I would even be able to get preggo ya know? I'm sure that the accident has shaken you, but you are a good enough mom to handle two kids. Accidents happen. I hope you don't put off trying when you had planned based on this. Glad you had a great appt and B was able to play outside!

LILI, love the cute pictures of J! She looks so big now! How funny she knows what she likes! Already shopping on the internet at such a young age! Haha.

PUFFY, yay! I am so happy for you and B!!!

MRSS, good luck with the whole milk transition.

I have mastitis. I feel like the fever''s now gone down, but I haven''t felt up for doing anything - not even typing - so I''m sorry to have disappeared.

We had a ped appointment two days ago, and George was already up to 8 lb 4.5 oz. (Birth weight 7 lb 15 oz.) He''s packing on the weight!

To answer a couple of questions-
George was 20.25" at birth.
I''m not sure if the position of his legs caused him any pain, but his butt and scrotum were quite bruised up and that seemed to hurt him. It fortunately went down pretty quick.

Burk - congrats on the house!

Qtiekki - I love your little Easter bunny.

DD - Poor little Hunter. It sounds like you got a lot of good advice, at least.

Lili - happy bday!!

Puffy - I''m glad that B is doing better!

Aww Blen I''m so sorry! Hope you continue to feel better! Sounds like G is doing awesome!

Janine, yeah, H moves his head back and forth no problem and I managed to get him to sleep looking left laft night too
36.gif

Hunter''s flat part it at the back, on the lower right-hand part. It is really subtle, probably I am being crazy mom right now
20.gif
Even after just a couple of days on the other side it already seems less flat to me, but who the heck knows. I actually just watched a bunch of videos of Hunter when he was a littler baby, and he was totally looking to the left then so I wonder if the stiffness is not congenital but the result of always sleeping that way? Anyhoo, I will continue excercises etc and ask the doctor at our appintment on Tuesday! Its shots time already
32.gif

I have an announcement!

Hunter slept 6 hours straight last night! That is the second time this week... the other nights it was 5 hours. I think in another week or so he will be "sleeping through the night"! Who decided that six hours was STTN?

Question: When did you moms stop swaddling your baby to sleep and how did you transition them to sleeping without being swaddled? Hunter is now 8 weeks and I wonder if we should stop swaddling soon, buuuuut I am not sure how well he will sleep without being swaddled? He is so used to it and it works so well.

Blen Poo about the mastitis! Glad its clearing up. I had some minor clogging type issues in the early weeks and found that changing his nursing positon a lot helped (cross cradle and football were the ones I alternated).

BLEN, sorry to hear you have mastitis. Are you taking the antibiotics? Hope you feel MUCH better soon! I know how crappy it makes you feel. Sounds like G is doing great!

DREAMER, that''s awesome that Hunter is STTN now! Woohoo! Yay for sleep! I believe we stopped swaddling at 2 months when D would keep breaking out of the swaddle. If Hunter still loves being swaddled, I would continue doing it. If it helps him sleep well, don''t mess with it.
2.gif

Dreamer -
36.gif
for Hunter sleeping through the night. James is 9.5 months and still does not
14.gif
. We also never really swaddled him, to answer your question. He always liked to have his little arms out and when we tried to swaddle him he''d just cry so we didn''t do it. He''s also been a tummy sleeper since birth. Don''t feel like you''re being a crazy mom for worrying about a flat spot - you''re just caring for your child.

Blen - Wow, George is a tall baby! Sorry to hear about your BF troubles - I hope you start feeling better soon!

blen; so sorry gal...gosh you''ve been through the ringer..i hope you get to feeling better soon!

dreamer: I kept Jake swaddled until he broke out too. I bought a miracle blanket and it kept him snug for a few months. I wouldn''t change what''s working!

burk-jake isn''t walking yet. He will stand unassisted for a few seconds at a time but that''s it. He the will sit back down and crawls to where he wants to go.

So, I gave him the milk and no immediate reaction. he''s napping now so I will check out his skin when he wakes up. I''m not going to give him any more today though, don''t want to overload the kid especially if his is able to tolerate a little bit.

thanks for the info lili! I guess kids like the wheely bug, I was browsing the website and little B come up and stare at the screen and I ask him which one he want he didn''t say anything but he did say something I don''t understand when he saw the cow.

OMG lili, J is so gorgeous!! I love the second picture with the hoodie on, did you take that photo or it''s a studio shot?

DD, I hope Hunter doesn''t have torticollis. I agree it won''t hurt to start on the exercise just to be cautious. yay on Hunter slept 6 hours!!
36.gif
We never swaddled little B because he hates it, he''ll screamed and cried when we swaddled him. He like to have his arms out.

puffy, little B don''t like baby snacks like cheerio or puffs. But he will come running when he see me with a bag of sour cream onion chips
9.gif

So glad the hear the appt. went well and B gets to go outside and play. Hope the patch on his arm will heal up soon.

Burk, crossing my fingers for you~

Blen, thank goodness the bruises are all past and George looks great now. Sorry to hear you have mastitis, hope you feel better soon.

MrsS, Hope Jake won''t have any reaction this time.

Awrighty then...couldn''t got another day without commenting on these pics!

Curly, your girls are so so cheekily cute! And they look a lot like one another, what do you think? You can definitely tell they are related.

lili, your J is such a pretty girl. Love the hoodie picture...such feminine and alluring (can you say that for a one year old) features! She seems like she had a blast!

Blen, George is very handsome...he doesn''t look like he has the typical infant face...so cute and "developed", if that makes any sense. Love the ninja pic!!

Jas, hehehe, love the pic of Co eating. You and lili put the 1 year hat pics up...I have one too, so I will have to put it up there. You guys are a gorgeous family! Charlie better be careful if you guys get the girl you want...he''s going to have to fend em off with a stick! and btw, all your baked goods are freaking amazing! I''m not even going to post a pic of my cheapo cake...lili''s cake for J was a lot nicer! lili, if you know King''s Hawaiian bakery, I just got a plain old stock paradise cake!

QT, I laughed out load at the easter pics. Meena looks S-P-U-N-K-Y!
30.gif
Such a doll.

Loved all the pics everyone...what a treat!!

Lucy didn''t want you guys to miss out on her Easter outfits! Yes, plural. Here''s the first one:
