Okay my proud mama moment...I took T to the gym and of course she started crying when I dropped her off. The one lady remembered her from Tuesday and was like "let''s go on a buggy ride Tessa! You like the buggy!" I guess all this lady did on Tuesday was push her in their giant buggy. So I left. Well when I came back they were out on the buggy so I waited. She was in the front row and looked so happy. Of course she freaked out when she saw me. So this new girl who I have never seen before was like "I love Tessa! She is so adorable. All she did was smile and wave to us all."
16.gif
Then if my heart couldn''t be any fuller the third lady was like "Oh Tessa you are leaving? I didn''t get a chance to hang out with you today!" So she''s a fav.

So I called MIL to tell her of DH''s plans and her first reaction was "Awww...that''s so nice!"

38.gif
Ummm...what about his wife, daughter (and possible additional children)? Told my neighbor she was like "Heck no! I am a crying mess b/c my DH is leaving for a week." I am going to try not to worry about but maybe an upgrade is in my future
11.gif
Actually I have always wanted a diamond pendant.
31.gif

iluv, I guess they think that is how long it will take to go where they want. I don''t know how they came up with the number. A week is okay in my book too. That''s about how long his last trip took.

puffy, I am glad I am not crazy! He makes me feel like such a controlling wife. I could not go with him. I get sea sick on them when the water is rough and honestly just don''t find anything longer than a 60 min. ride enjoyable. Luckily our door handles are knobs not levers so they are harder for little hands to open. Also she is too short. My neighbor''s put a 2 way lock (need a key from both sides) b/c their little boy was escaping. How funny he felt "caught."

Snlee, thanks for your support. Glad my reaction was normal.

Lili, that''s funny. Kids are so truthful. I am sure she will hurt my feelings more than once. She can''t open our doors either but she tries. Is it bad that I don''t want a once month vacation. Just to sleep in once a week. That deal went to the way side months ago.

Tacori~Three? At least he''s selling one. I''d say something sparkly will be in order for sure!!
9.gif
Too cute about Tessa becoming a favorite at child watch...I''m so not surprised!!

puffy~I''m going to go order T a broom. I don''t know why it didn''t occur to me to look online for one or we would have had one weeks ago.
20.gif
Poor B being so ready to be done with having those dressings on. Can''t blame him one bit!

lili~Yea, she hasn''t had it easy that''s for sure. Thanks for the sweet compliments. We think she''s pretty special. I can totally relate to throwing out the milk (and I totally knew what you were saying about drinking it yourself
2.gif
and have to say I''ve seen pics and that''s so not true!) but for Tayva it just took her a while to take to it and now she loves her milk. Sorry J was sick again. Glad she''s starting to feel better.

snlee~Thanks! She loves, loves, loves her uncle. They play so hard. How is D doing with sleep these days?

Tayva was a piece of work tonight. She was in turbo can''t quit moving crazy mode. WOW. She''s usually busy but this was nuts. I think she was just over tired.

Q -
36.gif
YAY for M crawling!! That is so exciting! Have you babyproffed yet?

PUFFY - Sorry to hear about B''s infection
8.gif
I hope he heals soon.

BOBO - So far it does not look like MIL will need radiation or chemo so we are very relieved.

SNLEE - Wow! D has been making some pretty big strides!

TACORI - Awww, your Tessa story was cute. As far as the trip is concerned, I''m a mean wife and I''d say NO WAY
29.gif
I am sorry, and I really hope that you are not offended by this, but he doesn''t seem to be around that much to begin with, and if you''ll have another baby by then.....well, I think he''s got his priorities mixed up. A week I could understand, IF you got to do something sans him and kid(s) FIRST. Maybe I''m just spoiled because my DH is totally involved in James'' life and knows better than to ask for something like that.

BURK - I am so sorry to hear that T''s not feeling well. I hope she gets better soon. (((HUGS))).

I''ve been super busy at work. Trying to get some files in order that have been sitting around for way too long. Not to mention some of our clients are crazy
20.gif

James is doing great. He''s only been waking up one time at night so DH and I are finally getting some rest. He''s still not crawling but he''s sooo close. Just needs to figure out how to move forward and not backward. He''s also still working on those teeth. His bottom gums are all bumpy and he''s been chewing on his hands/fingers like crazy.

BTW I have interesting question. DH is really into jet skiing and last summer went from Lake Michigan to Lake Erie on a jet ski with a friend. Crazy but that is his idea of fun. Anyways, I should have NEVER told him about Craig''s List b/c he found his dream ski for $3K-$4K less than normal. I tried to talk him out of it but at the end of the day THIS is what he loves and we can afford it so I gave him my blessing in exchange that he will spend ONE day a week with his family. I guess I was worried any free time now will be out on a river or lake or somewhere. He told me this morning that in 3 years or so he wants to take a 30 day trip with his buddy. How would you guys react?
I think that a lot of guys will say whatever it takes to get the deal done.
11.gif

I''m OK with the one day a week exchange thing. No if ands or buts on it either. He made a deal, and if he reneges, there is gonna be a whole lot of bitterness going around. Stress to him you mean it.

As for the 30 day trip, I would say fine, as long as I got to go on an equally long trip (or do something I wanted) FIRST.
Ditto. But then again, maybe I wouldn''t even be that magnanimous. After DH went away for two days this past weekend I forbid him from doing it again for a few years! I''m not sure I would ok 30 days. But then, I am a mean wife and DH is whipped.
12.gif

Thanks for asking about Hunter: He is his usual happy pants today, smiling and being a cutie pie. He chose to wake up at 6:30am, but that''s okay since he was smiling and laughing so much.

as requested here are a few pictures(I hope)

snlee i will most likely not be able to join you guys. it''s going to be a super busy weekend for us, but i am trying to rearrange some things that we have planned. i really want to meet you guys, so i''m hoping!!

lili OMG, are you serious....will you send me pics of J every month?!?!? HAHA, just kidding. but i am definitely loving your girl. B is a pretty funny boy which is why it is so darn hard to stay mad at him especially when he knows that he did something bad and tried to make me laugh and forget about whatever he did. your poor girl seems like she is sick all the time. but i bet she is still on the go. haha. but glad to hear that she is doing better and hoping that she stays that way. give her some kisses from me please.

tacori i''m sure you are super duper relaxed about a lot of things. i can''t believe the response your MIL gave..is SHE crazy? with T''s personality and cuteness, i am not surprised that she made an impression on all the workers. i haven''t taken B to the gym lately, but the people from the kids club still ask about him. that is so cute that she grabbed your shoes for you. i have a bad habit and leave my shoes out sometimes, and B will bring them to me and say "put away." he has also been really into picking out his own shoes. i''ll grab a pair of shoes for him, and if he doesn''t like them, he will go get a pair himself. so now i just tell him to get his own shoes.

burk haha about T being in turbo mode!! every time i see your AV, i just laugh at T''s adorable face. i''m sure T will enjoy her broom. hope her ear infection gets better soon and that her breathing treatments are helping. your poor girl.

diva that''s great that you and your DH are getting some rest. his teeth will be in before you know it. i''m surprised he''s only waking up once with teething. i''ll gladly take butt wiggles over crawling anytime!! at least with butt wiggles, they''re cute and he''s not moving every where.

pave OMG....Tyler is the cutest little thing i have seen!!! his face and those eyes. seriously CUTE!!! we will have to have a GTG someday so i can meet your handsome little man. more pics please!!

Tacori--
Yep, kids don''t sugar coat things :P
Bummer about your once a week sleep in day.
8.gif

I was just about to ask about it.
Hehe, doesn''t surprised me that Tessa is a fav at the child watch -- who wouldn''t go gaga over that adorable face and personality.
I''m sure that makes you feel better knowing that the people watching are really enjoy her.

Burk--
Thanks, but I really did beefed up since delivery.
Couldn''t fit in most of my pre-preggo pants without my thighs feeling itchy from the material clinging on them.
I''ll continue giving J the whole milk (she seems to be okay w/ what little amount she had so far).
Being the stubborn girl that she is, it''ll take some time I suppose.
Oh, I was over in the TTC thread and saw that your cycle is off too post delivery?
Mine is alot longer now. It''s about 35 days instead of 26 days before.
I''m not complaining right now since AF is a pain especially in the upcoming heat and we are not TTC yet.

Mommies--
Just curious what are you all experiencing w/ your cycle PP? Are they the same or different than before?

Diva--
Enjoy that stationary butt wiggle
2.gif

Once it is on the move, you can''t stop it.

Puffy--
LOL....love that shot of Brady -- looks like he''s having a good laugh at something he said or did.
Can we see a bigger pic of that?
Yea, J does seem to be sick all the time -- always w/ a nasty cold.
But like you said, that never kept her down. This last time, she was only 50% operational.
Normally, when she sees something she wants, she''d grab it and run off w/ it.
This past week, she just grabbed it and sat in one place. She''s herself now -- 100% better and mischievous

Diva
I''ll post a pic of M on all fours.
Glad your MIL''s surgery went well, and the cancer cells didn''t spread. Best wishes to her.
No we are not fully baby-proofed yet. The good thing is M really doesn''t like to crawl. She only crawls enough to be arm reach from what she wants. Then she''ll stop and reach for the objects. I don''t know if she is lazy or smart. haha.
Yay for waking up only once a night. James has so much on his plate right now, crawling, teething and sleeping.

lili
Seriously the competitive parents/grandparents never talk about the milestones their kids/grandkids are behind in.
I''ll just ignore, ignore, ignore. LOL.
It is so cute when she stops crawling and sit, but she isn''t very good with it yet. Sometimes she doesn''t get all the way up and ended up rolling over.
Glad J is feeling better.

NYC
Yay for bringing the twins home. I ''ll have to hop over to the pregnancy thread to check out the pics.

Burk
Tayva is tall and skinny. She is going to be a model.
Awww poor Tayva got another ear infection and her asthma is acting up. That girl can''t get a break. Hope she feels better soon.
Yeah bored is ok. She hasn''t gotten to the point when she is crabby yet.
So funny your MIL compared T with your 2 yo nephew.
Yeah maybe M was upset with her auntie, so she said "I''ll show you." LOL.

Tacori
Thanks. I''ll just be using our Quinny Buzz.
I don''t feel close to that particular SIL. I mean I can converse with her over general things, but nothing personal or anything. I think she is a nice person, but bad at communicating her thoughts. I guess I should just cut her some slacks. We already had a fall out with her and her husband, so I definitely don''t feel comfortable talking to her about this.
That''s nice of your MIL offer the sleepover. Definitely take advantage of it.
Cute story about T bringing you your tennis shoes.
If DH wants to go on a 30 days, I would be
29.gif
38.gif
. I don''t think I would be ok with DH going on such a long trip, and he''ll hear it from me.

Bobo
I had never seen that ride on toy before. So cute. How does little B like it?
ITA that it’s understandable for a parent to be concerned with milestones, but, like you, I don’t get the competitive thing. And don’t get me wrong, I am happy our nephew is hitting his milestones, just annoyed with SIL’s competitiveness.

blen
Thanks.
How are you doing? Glad the mastitis and sore nipples are gone.

Pave
Tyler is so adorable. Look at all those hair. Can’t wait for more pics.

snlee
Yay for rolling over. D is really progressing with his motor skills. Sounds like he is doing what M was doing a month again. Maybe he’ll be early crawler and walker.
Maybe you can use the highchair/cart cover when we GTG. So DH can see how nice it is to use. I want to get one to use for shopping cart, but DH doesn’t want me to get it. He doesn’t think we need one.

puffy
Sorry B got an infection. At least you know what’s causing the problem, so you’ll just have to hold him differently. Hope it’ll heal up soon.
Love the new avi. B is such a happy little guy.

iluvcarats
Thanks. You are always so sweet.

No news here, but a few pics.

This is a pic of M after we got home from DH''s birthday dinner last Fri

M_after_daddys_bday_dinner.jpg

These are funny pics of M after I taped up her chin. She was rubbing her chin on her bib, and her chin was getting raw for it. So I taped it up with gauze and cloth tape to keep her from rubbing.

M_taped.jpg

Last one is M on all 4.

QT--
LOL...I love those new pictures of M!!
30.gif
30.gif

I love love the hilarious collage w/ the different expressions.
M is going to be one expressive little girl!
The one of her crawling is so adorable...and I have to say that I''m loving that cute little short she''s got on.
Where did you get that?

The rashes on her face are pretty bad huh?
Do you put anything on it?
Have you tried putting vaseline jelly?
J used to have rashes on her face too and I applied a very thing layer of jelly on it at night when she''s sleeping.
I just dab my finger in the jelly and spread it on her trouble areas -- cheeks and chin.
Now I only apply to those area when I feel that they are a bit rough.

lili
You are up late.
I told you that she makes a lot of expressions. See, I wasn''t lying.
9.gif

Those shorts are Circo brand from Target. They were $4. Go get some.
Yeah her rash is pretty bad on her face. There are days when it clears up, but there are more bad days than good. I tried vaseline and aquaphor, but they didn''t seem to do much. I think the problem is that M likes to rub her face when her hands, even when I put it on when she is asleep. So whatever I put on gets rubbed off. I recently switched to Aveena body wash and lotion, and I noticed a little improvement. I probably need to keep the areas more moisture throughout the day, but I am bad at keeping up since she drools non-stop.

Sorry all-quick drive by! Going to stick with this page since I am so behind.

Tac: I would be PISSED unless I was getting something in exchange. But even then I think a month is a little ridiculous...you are way nicer than me!

Burk: So sorry Tayva is still having troubles! I hope she feels better very soon. And congrats on the lot!

Puffy: B is so adorable. That is hilarious. I am glad he is feeling better at least!

Lili: Hope J feels better soon!!!

Diva: I am sure James will figure it out very soon! He sounds soooo close.

Pave: Look at the HAIR on that kid! Hope he''s starting to sleep better soon!

Snlee, Jas, Dreamer, MrsS, ILuv, TGal, and everyone else: HI!!!!

Our updates: We had 4 month apppointments-both boys are 24 inches long, Max is 14 lbs 10 oz and Dexter is 13lbs 7 oz. Big boys now! Dex''s head has jumped from the 42nd percentile to the 73rd!!! Big head on that one.

We had a professional photog come this weekend and take pictures of the boys so here are some of my favorites I pulled from our online proofs. There are SOO many great ones we are just buying the CD and the rights so we can make our own prints.

It''s been busy here-finishing papers for school and DH is away this week in CA "interviewing" for a job (we think it''s a formality at this point as he is the only candidate they are flying out-but we aren''t sure). I''d love to move out there so send lots of dust please! He''s also checking out houses out there because as it turns out we can still buy a house if we want to. Which is a surprise because I didn''t think our downpayment would be enough but it is because we''d be buying on the outskirts of the bay area which is a lot cheaper. How exciting!

They are so big and so cute!!!!!!!!!!. I love their smiles, must melt your heart!!! Those are great pictures!!!

Neat-- Max & Dex are just amazingly cute! Great photos! Makes me really want another little boy when i see them together--eeeks, baby itch

snlee: thanks..never heard of mama bargains, but that itzy ritzy stuff is awesome! Is Mama Bargains the cheapest place to purchase them? And 6 or 7 days away does seem long, but it'll be great for DH and you, plus D can have some special time with Grandma. Let me know what you decide, or wait to see how it goes for me in August! Great news on D rolling both ways! C rolls from back to stomach all the time. But not as easy for her to go the other way. She can do it, but takes more effort (has to raise her head and flip herself over). She is sitting well, but not completly unassisted yet. Did you say D is standing too??!

Curly: how're you doing mama?

NF: those are some great shots...were they taken in a studio? My fave is the one where one has his arm around the other (sorry, don't know who's who yet!). It is a priceless shot..you should take that shot through the years as they grow.

Tacori: did you chat with the DH anymore on the jetski? Can't believe his mom thinks it sounds fun!

Puffy: hope you're hanging in there, it must be hard with all the bandaging, but you are doing great mama!

Qtiekiki: nice shots, and i also love the range of expressions. I hope her skin gets better. To me Aquaphor is magic, so hopefully it'll work for you. It should stick around even if she rubs her face.

Pave: more pics please, such an old soul!

DD: you must give us tips on how you have DH whipped!

Diva: Yay for only waking up once and can't wait for the crawling shots that are around the corner I'm sure. C also has a 2nd tooth coming in, fun times! I don't get how bf'ing moms continue once the teeth are in, just biting on my finger hurts!

Diva~Thanks! Hopefully we''re making progress. Yay for James sleeping better!

DD~Glad Hunter is doing great!

Pave~What a little cutie you have!! I love love love his hair!!
30.gif

puffy~Love your new avi! T is a crazy character. She makes me tired....probably doesn''t help that DH is gone all week so I have no back-up.

lili~I think stubborn was what caused T to not take to the whole milk too. Who knows, J may never like it but it doesn''t hurt to continue to try. Yea I''ve been over in TTC trying to get some advice, my cycle is a huge mess. It was well over 40 days last time and we''re going on 38 I think now? Longer is fine, but not knowing when AF is going to arrive and not knowing when I''m Oing is not good either for when we actually do want to "try."

QT~Thanks! I like the way M thinks if she''s doing the "I''ll show you" already!
41.gif
Cute pics!

Neat~Thanks! The boys are so cute!! I can''t believe how big they are. Dust for Dh and this job. Hope it all works out!

Jas12~Oh yea...count me as another with the baby itch!!

lili--is J still sick? Does she sleep better or worse when she''s under the weather?

Tacori--30 days--uhh, no, never. You are not mean. My DH goes on an all-guys camping thing every year in May (that is his *thing*) he willingly skipped last year b/c Cohen was only 2 months old, but he''s going this year. It''s only 5 days but i''ve whinged about it a few times and he *claims* he doesn''t want to leave us that long but i think if he were completely truthful he''s really looking fwd to it. But a whole month--that''s a looong time! Could he really be away from T (and you!) for that long? maybe he hasn''t totally thought it through. If DH wanted to be away from me and the kids that long, i would be kinda insulted.
And it doesn''t surpirse me that T is a fave at childwatch-cutie pie that she is! We need new pics

Diva--sounds like James is getting close to STTN--that''s great!!

Puffy--how is B doing?

Pave--what a beautiful little dude you have!

Qtie--M is just such a sweet looking baby--have u tried Desitin on her face--it stays on better than vaseline i find and when i put it on at night it clears a rash by the AM

T-gal--how are you?

---
So, i am having an internal debate that seems kinda silly but i am stuck on it. My sister''s best friend just asked me to be in her wedding party. My sister is the MOH and i guess her friend has just recently decided she would like to ask me (we live in the same city so we see each other often and hang out even when my sister is not around). I am very flattered and said yes, but the wedding is in september. Assuming i get pregnant the first month i try, i would be approx 2 months along. Should i just wait to TTC until after the wedding or invest in some good spanks? I hated the first 16 weeks of pregnancy b/c i just flelt fat and sick all the time, but that''s a silly reason for putting off TTC i think...

anyway, Co just started saying a few new words ("molly"--my MIL''s dog, and "elloow" for yellow) and it is very cool to hear. He''s also greeting us--"momma'' when he sees me in the AM and "dadda" when charlie gets home. He''s been saying these words for sometime, but more random.
He''s definetly the most gimpy of our group of one-year olds--he''s regressed in the physical stuff. He won''t pull up on anything b/c he can get what he wants by crawling onto stuff and using his hockey stick to pull things down
37.gif
6.gif

He still can''t stand on his own either and shows no interest in trying! I never find him standing in his crib or anythiing, he''s always on his knees. Should i ask the doctor about it??

My second try:)

the pictures..

tacori- no way I''d let my hubby go away for a month. he''d really have to bargain something HUGE if he decided to do that. I currently am taking care of our 3 kids by myself 2 weeks at a time since he''s already back in TN working. He comes up every other weekend for 2 days. It is HARD. It would be hard with 1 kid and even harder with 2. I''m sure it would make a difference b/c you''ll have your in-laws there. I stayed back in TN for a month when my hubby moved up here for work and it was easier b/c of all the help I had there. I honestly don''t know how single mom''s do it. they are hero''s!

jas-cohen is smart. Jake doesn''t say any words other than Mama...makes lots of noise and baby talk but that''s it. I don''t think you really need to be worried about him not pulling up. kids just do things at different rates. Does Co go for a 12 month Dr. visit? you could always ask then. We just did Jakes and they do say that babies should be starting to pull up and cruise but I don''t think it''s a must just yet. Co will get there!

lili-I wouldn''t worry about J not liking milk. My dr. said they don''t really need anything to drink now but water. you just have to find other ways to get the protein and calcium in her. I read a book years ago that said the reason Milk got such a big push years ago was to help out the dairy farmers. it was marketing and not necessarily a must have food group.

TACORI, I''m sure Tessa is so fun to be around, which is why I''m bummed I won''t be meeting her anytime soon. Of course I want to meet you too. The more I think about your DH''s possible 30 day trip the more
29.gif
29.gif
29.gif
I feel! Not cool at all!

BURK, D has been okay with sleep. Usually he wakes up a few times a night. When we''re lucky (maybe once or twice a week) he''ll sleep soundly for 7-8 hours. Hopefully it''ll get better with time!

DIVA, James sounds like he''s doing well. Yay for sleep!

PAVE, Tyler is too cute for words! Love his hair and eyes and those chubby checks!! Is he mixed? I didn''t realize we live pretty close to one another. I''m in the bay area too. We should do a GTG sometime! Let me know if you''re interested.

PUFFY, sorry to hear you probably won''t be able to make it. Keep us posted. I hope you can make it too! If not, we should do a GTG soon. Maybe PAVE and Tyler can join us too.

QT, I hope D isn''t an early walker!!! I''ll try to bring the cover to our GTG. We haven''t used it on the high chair of shopping cart yet. Do you put M in high chairs when you go to restaurants? I actually was trying to hold off buying a cover cause I thought we didn''t need it. I saw it was in the top 10 list of useless baby items. I was very surprised when DH said we should buy one! I love it even though we''ve only used it once.

Love the pic of M crawling! So cute! Regarding her rashes, have you asked your pedi about it? My pedi gave us a topical steroid ointment to use. I was very weary of using it but he assured me a few dabs is fine. When D''s rashes get bad I put a dab on once or twice and it goes away completely. It works really well.

LILI and QT, what were you doing up so late last night!? QT I can''t believe you go to bed so late and leave the house by 6 (did you say?).

NEAT, sending lots of dust your way! Yay for being able to buy a house! I''m excited that you will be moving to the bay area so we can do another GTG (with the babies this time)! The boys sound like they are doing well and the pictures of them are so cute! The one of them together is adorable! Is that a birth mark on Dex (I think it''s Dex)?

JANINE, mamabargains has one deal at a time (50-80% off retails prices). It''s pretty hard to get the item you want since you have to check it all the time. I bought the cover when I was on maternity leave and had lots of free time to check the website. No time to check it much now. I think we''re most likely going to travel without D. Just need to wean him in time. D can stand with some assistance for balance - he can''t stand alone. C sounds like she''s doing well!

JAS12, I wouldn''t wait to TTC. IF you are pregnant at the time, I know the first trimester sucks and you may not feel the greatest at the wedding but I''d just deal with it that day and hope that you don''t feel too bad.

MRSS, it must be so tough with your DH away so much. I can''t wait until you guy move back to TN so you can be with your DH and family! I''m sure you''re very excited and I''m excited for you!

Qt- forgot to say I love the pics of M too...such a doll baby!!

Jas12~Like the others said I wouldn''t worry about CO not pulling up. All babies do things at their own pace. Of course it never hurts to ask your pedi just for peace of mind? As for putting of TTC...I probably wouldn''t. We got preggo unplanned (read uh oh) with Tayva and now my body is weird and though we''re not trying we aren''t preventing and haven''t been since January (maybe even the end of December) and I''m not preggo again. Point being, chances of you getting preggo the first month are so slim and if you are lucky and do get preggo that first month I''m sure you''ll still look great and you can make it work!

Pave~He is so cute.

snlee~Hopefully he starts putting the 8 hours together consistently for you.

mrss~You''re so close to school being out and moving back. I''m sure you''re ready! Have you decided on an actual moving day? Being a "single mom" is hard!! I only have one and it makes me tired. DH has been home one day in the past 2 weeks. He gets home late tonight, though, so tomorrow I''m sleeping in!!!

Hi gals...

I hope to catch up more over the weekend, but wanted to say I LOVE all the pics. My goodness, it really is the best part of this thread. I''ll comment more on those later.

A shoutout to lili: Freeze dried fruits are a success! In fact, this entire week has been a great eating week. She''s interested in food, grabbing for it and eating lots. Again, I believe it''s because I''m threatening her with therapy. However, the girl still does not BITE. It''s the weirdest thing. Chews fine, but won''t bite food if I try to get her to take a chunk. Princess.

Jas, no I would not worry. Things with babies seem to randomly happen overnight! Or perhaps threaten Co with therapy.

As you know, Amelia was only army crawling when I went to her one year appointment on April 2 and the doc was concerned. Since then, she''s regular crawling, pulling up on EVERYTHING, and totally cruising around the furniture like a maniac. I swear, it seemed to all happen overnight. Now I find myself wishing she was just army crawling. We''ve a few close calls on some major head bumps/faceplants!

We went to the park today and there was a 17 month old little boy who was of average height. His mother wanted to see how tall Amelia was compared to him when I told her how old she was. We put them side by side and Amelia was a smidge taller. I am quite sure she didn''t look at my girl and think, "how tall!" Likewise, I didn''t look at her son and think he was short. Nope. She was bemoaning and very concerned that her son was too small (she told me she wanted him to be bigger) and I was looking at Amelia and thinking "You monster!" So I guess we just never stop worrying about our kids when there is a world of children to compare to...
