Tacori~Of course T isn''t one of the annoying kids! Tayva is a fav at daycare even though she''s one of the annoying ones that doesn''t nap!
3.gif
I think DH''s trip in exchange for some bling is a perfect exchange as long as you make it worth it!
9.gif

QT~Miss M is tall! Hope her rash improves! As for pre-pregnancy cycle, I was always on BC. I was only off for one cycle before I got preggo so I really don''t know. When do you think you''ll actually start TTC? I think we might this summer.

lili~He he about breaking J down! Tayva has attitude too. She''ll inhale one food one day and want nothing to do with it the next!
20.gif
These girls have some MAJOR personality at a very young age, that''s for sure!

puffy~That''s so funny about B running in circles! Tayva has been doing laps around our house lately. She no longer walks anywhere, it''s always a run and it tires me out just thinking about it! Glad B''s arm is better!

Janine~T had to have an ultrasound of her stomach when she was having all those stomach issues and it wasn''t bad at all. I was able to hold her and play with her to keep her attention. Good luck!

snlee~YAY FOR D!!!
36.gif

pave~That pic of T eating his cereal! We used the organic but as long as you checked the ingredients and there wasn''t any soy I''m sure you''re okay. Did he like it? It took T a couple weeks to really get into it. I just kept trying every night or every other night and all of a sudden one night she inhaled it and I had to make 4 helpings!! Tayva is good thanks for asking! She''s talking a lot more these days and making me laugh constantly. I can''t wait for Tyler to feel better and get through the fussy stage. I remember how hard it was with tummy pain baby. When are you going back to work?

LIA~Coby is a cutie!! Sorry about the sleeping and eating issues. Like I told Pave, T was not interested at first but I just kept trying and one day she was all about the rice cereal and from then on it took off and we were able to add veggies and fruits. Have you tried rice cereal mixed with pears? The texture of the RC is usually easier for babies (the stage ones are so runny) and if you add some pears it has a little flavor. I would suggest just continuing to try. He''ll catch on. As for sleep, argh that''s no fun for you. You must be exhausted! I might try and limit the feeding so that he has to eat in the morning when he wakes hungry. Good luck!!

We found a new builder this weekend! We really liked this one and he came highly recommended by acquaintances of ours. We are revising our plan with the architect tomorrow and our builder says even though we''re off to a late start he thinks we can still close May 13th and break ground soon after!! Our weekend has been consumed with building meetings but we''ve also had time to do family stuff which is nice because DH has been gone a lot lately. He canceled his trip this week for me, though!!

Quick question, mommies! Diaper Genie - best one to buy? The Champ? Keep in mind I''m running up to Target tomorrow and won''t be able to order one online or anything. I''m being induced on Tuesday and we just realized the one given to us isn''t in good shape.

LIA, I love that picture. How adorable!

Hey ladies, my hubby is home so I don''t have time to respond to everyone right now but real quick:

lili- Jake was the only one of my kids that they did an iron test on. my girls both got finger pricks I think at age 3 for lead but that was it. I think it''s some new state regulation test. So, don''t worry at all that they didn''t test J.

I''ll be back tomorrow to catch up. I hope everyone has had a great weekend. It''s been soooooo nice having my hubby home. It''s almost been like a mini-vacation...dinners out, a trip to the zoo, dinner with the in-laws, pool time, play time etc. the kids really miss him though and the girls are already sad that he has to go back soon.

LIA, I love that picture. How adorable!

courtney, hopefully other mom's will chime in for you but I hated my Diaper Genie. It always seemed to smell even though I emptied it and sprayed it with Lysol daily. It was just easier to put the diaper into a plastic grocery bag and toss it in the garbage. I personally think they are a waste of money.

Diaper Pails...waste of money! I get these scented plastic bags from the dollar store and take them right to the outside trash can. I do have the cheapie from BRU for downstairs.

Tayva, he did ask if I thought my e-ring setting could hold a larger stone
6.gif
Yay for finding a new builder! So exciting!

MrsS, sorry DH has to go back so soon! Glad you are enjoying it.

mrss~Glad you''re having a great weekend!

Courtney~I agree with mrss. Ours was a huge waste of money. I bought bags at Walmart that are "green" and just stick diapers in those and in the trash outside. Good luck with your induction. I loved mine. Can''t wait to meet your little girl!

Courtney: We just use a nice trash can with a foot pedal and a sealing lid. Don''t waste your $ on the "systems".

courtney again, diaper pails are kinda bleh. we have the diaper champ that we use just for his playroom, and even though i don''t put diapers in it often, the smell adds up, and i do take it out every day. so i just use scented plastic bags to put the diaper in then just take it to the trash the same day.

mrsS glad that you are enjoying the time with your DH.

LIA heehee, i LOVE the pic of colby!! he is such a cute one!!! and yes B is one verbal boy!!! every time we go out and he strikes a conversation with someone, they are always shocked that he is as young as he is. sorry that he is refusing the bottle and not into solids it takes some kids longer to get used to it. B took to it right away, but then again, he LOVES his food.

tacori if it takes me flying to you to accompany you and T back here so that some of us can meet T, then i might consider it!! and girl, i hear ya about being the only voice of reason!! heehee, i had to laugh at your comment about the jet ski gear, we are way too much alike...that''s exactly what i would have been thinking. how is T doing? how''s the working out been going?

pave haha, B always smiles and laughs like that now. seriously, i just want some pictures of him where his eyes are visible!! but i do have to laugh at his "cheese" routine. i can''t get over how adorable your tyler is!!! he makes me smile.

burk YAY for a new builder!!!! that is so exciting. and that is wonderful that your DH is with you this week too!!! i always tell B to "slow down!!" and he ALWAYS responds, "i don''t want to." then i''ll have to tell him in my mean voice, and he''ll say "like this..." and he will literally run in slow motion. it is so darn funny. i wish we could post videos cause i have a few videos of him doing that. is T feeling better?

neat hope your DH gets the offer!!!

Thanks ladies! I won''t waste the money on the genie or champ.

I''ll be officially in this thread soon! I woke up at 3am this morning unable to fall back asleep because my brain is going 100mph.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes for my DH. We now know that they are going to make him an offer as soon as they are positive they have funding. Ahhh. Gotta love government bureaucracy! They are pretty sure it''ll come through but can''t formally make an offer until it does. Hopefully we will know in a week or two.

But I am happy that it looks like it is moving forward. And they have a sweeeet relocation package including packing AND unpacking everything for you. Wahoo. I HATE that part-I am SO happy that they take care of it for us!

I want to catch up more but the boys are calling. See everyone later!

LIA: what a cutie!!

Pave: thanks, I hope Tyler's echo goes ok.

Snlee: congrats on 11.5 hours, that is really something!

Courtney: I like the Diaper Champ. I first bought the cheapie version for my mom's which works well, but not for our house since it's kind of stuffy upstairs in the summer and it smelled sooooo bad after just one diaper. So i got the Champ which i like alot, and the price is good. I'm not a fan at all of the Genie or any pail that requires a special bag.

Burk: congrats on finding a new builder, that was fast!

So how did Eascoasters do with the heat wave? Came a bit too fast for me..C was so sweaty and not used to it, so we had to keep her cool. Gave her water for the first time. Any suggestions on Sunscreen brands? I have Aveeno but it has the usual chemicals, not sure if I should be looking for something more gentle. And does it go on her face?

I mananged to make C fresh bananas and avocodo this wkend which was fun. Need to figure out how to freeze it, since whatever she doesn't eat, I've been eating. Hey, mooshy bananas aren't so bad! ;)
Oh and forgot to say the doctor said her eyes' color should be settled now (at 7 mo's) so look like they are hazel? Which is pretty, but I still think they might change. They are still very hard to describe--a very dark blue/green with brown in the midde.

NF GREAT news! I am so happy for you! I know you probably can''t breath a sign of relief until it is done and signed, but it must feel good to know that things are settled!

****

Thanks to everyone who asked about pictures of Hunter. I love sharing with everyone here, but DH and I have talked about it and I think that we are not going to post any more pictures of him on public forums anymore. I had never really asked DH how he felt about it, but when I did he mentioned that he isn''t totally comfortable with it. So I think I will respect his wishes. For once
11.gif
I adore looking at all of my PS friend''s babies pictures, I just wish that this was *such* a public venue, KWIM?

Court--i agree with everyone else--diaper pails are a waste. Just a plain old garbage can with a lid does the trick. Empty every day and put a big box of baking soda in the nursery (and sprinkle on the bottom of the garbage can) --no need to use chemical sprays or anything.
You are so close! Can''t wait to see you on this thread!

35.gif
--to everyone else--will catch up sometime this week. work is busssy...

Tacori~I don''t know how I missed your post...but did you tell DH that OF COURSE your setting could hold a larger stone?!?
3.gif
Love it! We''re so excited we''re getting this house stuff straightened out.

puffy~I''m so excited DH is staying home this weekend. We have so much to do to get the house on the market as well as getting the plans for the new house finalized that I would have been so stressed doing it all myself. That is hilarious about B telling you he doesn''t want to slow down. Kids.
5.gif

Court~Good luck!!

neat~Hope it works out! That''s great that they''ll pack and unpack. I hate packing, too. I''m probably going to hire a moving company when we move into the new house because I don''t want to mess with it!

janine~Thanks! Yay for making food for C. I only made a few but it is pretty easy and I should have probably made more.

DD~I completely understand not wanting to post pics. I''m going to be done soon, too. I love sharing with my PS friends but it does get scary to think of who else besides you lovely ladies see those pics!

Jas12~Hey there! I''m sure it is busy only being at school 3 days a week! Are you liking your schedule?

morning guys!

thanks for all the responses for coby...GREAT NEWS: he slept for 10 hours straight last night. not even a little peep! i think he finally just got SO exhausted from all the awakening that he pooped out. mind you, he FOUGHT me going down (cried for almost an hour with me going in and out and soothing him, etc) before he konked out. but i''ll take it! hopefully it wasn''t a fluke.
and now we just need to figure out the eating situation and we''ll be in business! :)

PAVE: thanks so much for the detailed response! i already told DH that there might be a night that he has strict duty. he''s not looking forward to it, but he''ll commit if he has to. i definitely don''t think it''s a supply issue (although that''s a good thought!). when i pump, i usually get at LEAST 6-7 oz/time and prior to all of these awakenings, i was waking up by myself around 1 or 2 am to pump every night. and i''d get 10oz!!! crazy! i did try the nuby, but not a cleft palate bottle. another good idea! when is t''s echo? ihope it goes ok!!

TACORI: i wish i could help with your derm issues!! what''s going on? i know exactly what you mean about being a mom vs being a dad. i already told dh he''d better do something NICE for me on mother''s day!!

BURK: when exactly are you ttc? i thought you were already? we will probably start trying in august (yes, we''re NUTS, but dh is turning 40 this year and wants to get going!). maybe we''ll be preggos together! i am going to try the pears today, i think! congrats on the builder. that is exciting!!

COURTNEY: can''t wait to meet your little girl! soooo excited for you. btw, we have the genie and actually really like it. but then again, coby has only gotten breast milk so far so we haven''t had the truly stinky diapers yet...

MRSS: glad you had such a great weekend! dh and i lived apart all last year and i LOVED our weekends together. must be so hard with the kids involved though.

PUFFY: thanks! little b is one cute kid!!

NEAT: congrats on the (soon-to-be-official) offer! that''s great! and how wonderful that they''ll do the packing. that is definitely the worst part of moving. :)

JANINE: how did you make the avocado and banana? my pedi suggested that i try both of those for coby...

DD: we''ll miss seeing pics of your cutie, but i totally understand where you''re coming from...

xo,LIA

LIA~Yay for a good night''s sleep! Hopefully it continues! We''re not preventing right now and our plan was to TTC starting in April but we put it off because of all the stresses with building and Dh being gone all the time doesn''t really make it possible anyway!
3.gif
We''ll probably try this summer once house stuff is underway and DH is traveling less. I started temping last month because my body is a hot mess and I don''t have a clue when I''m ovulating. We could very easily be preggo together! FUN!!

LIA: i bought organic bananas and avocado. I chose these b/c they are very easy to mush with a fork. Which is all i did. I did add a little baby water to the avocado b/c it was a bit dry. My pedi has since told me there is no need to buy organic bananas since the peel is thick. It's fun to do. I'm going to try squash, pears soon. Not sure about carrots since I hear nitrates can be a concern, but maybe if it's organic that's another possible one to try. I'm a fan of the avocado b/c it's healthy and lots of calories which my petite little one needs!! Let me know how it goes and we can compare notes!

Thanks everyone for the compliments on M. She loves making weird faces. No regular smile for this girl.

The walk went well on Sat. It was very short. M was observing as usual in her stroller. I did take her out of the stroller and carried her for a little bit, and she got really excited. When I put her back in the stroller, she fell asleep.

At our cousin''s party, we met a baby boy and his mom. The mom asked how old M was, so I told her 9 months (M was still about a week shy of that, but 9 months is easier). Then she said she is a big girl too. Her DS is 8 months and 1 week old, and he is the same size as M. She probably thought M was 1yo. Then she starts asking me what M eats, etc. It was nice talking to another mom with baby of the same age and trading tips. She was shocked by M b/c she can sip out of a water bottle.

Bobo
I should try giving M a diaper box to play. SIL was sharing M''s room since she moved back from NYC and is getting back on her feet, so she would take the box out every time I left the empty box in the room. Now that we moved her the office, I should try the box.

Janine
Hope the clicky noiose is nothing. I sometimes hear clicking at my hip when I walk. Come to think of it, I haven''t heard it since I got pregnant. I think it''s better to proactive.

snlee
Yay for D sleeping for 11.5 hrs and his first tooth.
yeah the pedi prescribed the ointment. I was a bad mommy for not being consistent with it. I was using it when the rash is bad and stopped when it gets a little better. It looks much better the last few days, so I should''ve used it before that. SO BAD.
We were planning to TTC when M is 1, but we both feel ok if we get pg before then. We want BB #2 to be close in age with M. I am also want to have two by 30.
Puffy
She probably won''t have food allergies since we don''t have any. One of my SIL is allergic to oats, but M didn''t have a reaction when we gave her oatmeal.
Her rash is better with the 3 continuous days of the ointment. I feel so bad for not using it continuously before.

LIA, good to see updates from you! Coby is adorable! Isn''t it so fun when they become more vocal!? I love it! Yay for 10 hours of sleep! I would give fruit (pears, apples, or bananas) a try first before veggies. That''s what we did. That is so exciting that you''re going to start TTC soon!

PAVE, good luck with the echo today. I hope it''s good news.

BURK, congrats on finding a new builder you like! Glad your DH is home too. You have so much going on! Very exciting though!

MRSS, enjoy your time with your family!

COURTNEY, so excited for you! Good luck!

NF, hope your DH gets the official offer soon! That''s fabulous that they help you pack AND unpack! I think that''s what makes moving such a PITA!

DREAMER, I totally understand not wanting to post pics. As much as I love sharing and seeing all the baby pictures, I think I''m going to stop too. I wish the mommies thread wasn''t public.

QT, I forgot to say I love M''s expressions! Can''t wait to meet you guys in person! Glad the walk went well. Isn''t is so fun when babies get excited and start kicking their legs? We went shopping with D over the weekend and he was so excited looking at everything! Don''t feel bad for not being consistent with the ointment! Glad her rash is better. How exciting about baby #2!

Bobo, I private plan would work too
3.gif
That way she can run everywhere. Otherwise hopefully you won''t be too disappointed meeting little old me. Working out is going. Went three times last week Haven''t had simple sugar since Thursday (just trying it for a week). I REALLY want chocolate. REALLY. I figured I would be more exciting going on the jet ski if I had cute stuff to wear. I am pathetic. Haha. Glad you would have done the same!

NF, more moving dust sent your way!

janine, sunscreen on babies is VERY controversial. I would walk to your pedi. T''s eyes are what I describe as hazel as well. They can change up to a year old. Both avocado and banana do not have to be organic.

DD, I totally understand how you feel. I also wish it could be more private but it is what it is.

Burk, not sure that''s what I would do though. I do love the size of my center stone but there is all sorts of OTHER jewelry I would love
31.gif

LIA, I have all these random red bumps (like moles). Some have been there forever but many are new (flush. very small, irregular shape). The time that really bothers me is a sun pot of my cheek and I guess (my neighbor said due to hormones) the skin over my upper lip looks darker. Not a good look! 10 hours is AWESOME! Yay Coby!!!

Q, glad the walk went well. Sounds like M was a champ.

pave, good luck today!

Pave
Look like Tyler is enjoying his RC.
You should join us for the GTG if you have time.
All these talk about moving to the Bay Area is really making me miss it.
LIA
Thanks again for your expertise.
Like everyone said, just keep at it with the solids. Coby needs time to get used to the taste and texture of the solids.
Sorry C is not taking the bottle. Maybe try straw cup like lili.
Yay for C sleeping 10 hrs. One thing down.
Coby is such a handsome boy. Love his big eyes.
Tacori
So funny your mom takes your DH’s side. My mom tells me not to get mad at DH all the times.
You know how people were shocked with Tessa walking so well since she is petite. I think the opposite is true for M. People are surprised that she isn’t doing more since she is big. Oh well.
Burk
We planned to officially TTC in August since M will be one on 7/30.
Congrats on finding the new builder.
How sweet of your DH to cancel his trip for you.
NF
Hope the offer comes through soon. That’s a great relocation package.
DD
Aww I am so sad that we won’t get to see pics of Hunter anymore, but I understand how you and your DH feel. I’ll probably stop posting pics of M once she gets older.

Puffy
Spoke too soon about J getting better.
She ran a fever for 2 days after her 1 yr shots
8.gif

And she''s got a slight ear infection too.
7.gif

She is feeling better today though.

LOL...I know what you mean about wanting to see his eyes!
I think it''ll be a while before you get those pictures w/ a normal smile :D
That''s stinking cute that he gets ''later gator'' -- I''m sure it''s a huge hit w/ everyone.

That''s great his arm is healing nicely.
Pretty soon, you''ll be able to pick him up again (that is if he lets you).

QT
Hehe, I know what you mean about looking sloppy in just the onesie.
It was okay when they were younger.
But now they look a bit half-nekkid w/ their longer legs :)

Glad to hear that her rash is getting better.
I used to put the hydrocortizone on J''s face and legs too.
It does clear up quickly, but the rash will come back when I stop.
So now I just use the jelly like LIA suggested.

Glad to hear that the walk was fun and M enjoyed it.
It is fun to talk to other parents w/ kids the same age (if they don''t compare) and share tips and ideas.
That''s great that M can drink from a cup.
Should be easier to wean her of the bottle then no?

Wow, you are TTC for #2 in August too?
Hehe, you, Jas12, and Burk may all be preggo buddies.

Bobo
It''s call Thudguard.
I think there are not brands too, but I forgot the names of those.
It is pretty cute huh?

Yeah, J is a skinny girl.
Don''t know when she''ll break the 20lbs mark.
I hate to think how light she is if she didn''t gobble down those avocados!

DD to bad about the pics of your little guy. but we totally understand. you''ll just have to update us more.

janine i use aveeno for B as well, so can''t really help with the sunscreen advice. how is C doing?

LIA YAY for 10 hours of sleep. poor kid must have been tired. i hope you are feeling more like yourself as well!!

burk did i read right..ttc in august or so? DH and i were going to start to not prevent anything in may, but my cycles are still all over the place and it just seems like it''s not really going to happen until later this year, which is totally fine by me. i''m glad that your DH is there to help you with all the house stuff. how is miss T doing?

qt glad the walk went well!! so glad to hear that M''s rash is better. wow, you are brave for ttc when M is one. you know, that was my plan too, but then B became a toddler and was into everything and since then, i thank god every day that DH and i decided to hold off until later this year. and so we can still go on all the vacations that we had planned.

snlee NOOOOO...you can''t stop posting pics of D!! he is adorable. but totally understandable. did he sleep like a champ again last night?

tacori girl, reward yourself..have a little piece of chocolate!! that''s great that you are keeping up with the gym. it would be an honor to meet you with or without T! hope T is doing well and being her good ole fun loving self!!

janine
Hope the clicking in her leg is nothing.
Glad to hear that the separation anxiety is subsiding.

snlee
Woohoo on 11.5 STTN and his first teeth!
We need to see those prerequisite chomper shots.

Pave
I know it's a bummer we can't post videos on here huh?
Tyler looks like he's taking to the RC!
Look how happy he is.
Hehe, cute PJs he's got.

Unfortuntely I'm not moving to SJ, though I do have relatives up there.
I'd love to meet all you ladies and your cute LOs.

LIA
Squeee....how adorable is Coby!
He looks so mature and definitely doesn't look tiny.
Hehe, I actually love pictures of babies w/ pouty lips
30.gif

Sorry to hear that he's not liking RC, but keep at it.
Sometimes you need to throw away so many servings before they take to it.
Sorry to hear that he's not taking the bottle too.
I gave up on bottles and finally tried the cup w/ the straw.
Use the straws w/ the bendy head.
He may not know what to do w/ the straw at the beginning, so you can let him to suck.
You know how you can hold water in the straw by covering the top of the straw?
So what we did is tap the top of the straw and then transfer that straw and put it in J's mouth and slowly release the straw as she sucks on it...
this kinda let her make the connection that if she sucks on it, liquid will come thru.

Tacori
Might as well. So you like to jet ski then?
That's good that at least he KNOWS how cool are you.
Yea, J is a skinny girl like her daddy and me.
I don't know when she'll hit 20 lbs.
She only gained 1 lb since her 9-10 month checkup.

Burk

36.gif
for finding a builder.
Wow, May 13th is pretty close.
Great mother's day gift
9.gif

MrsS
That's good to know. That's one less prick J will have to go through.
She was not a happy camper when she had her shots.
She had this sad and woe is me cry when she got her shots.

DD
Awwee....bummer that we won't get to see pictures of Hunter
8.gif

I understand your concern though.

snlee
Bummer too about not posting pictures of D.

LIA
You too are jumping on the TTC wagon in Aug?
How exciting.

janine
Your pedi is right about no need to buy organic banana and avocado.
But I have to say that organic banana taste a whole lot sweeter
3.gif

lili you are killing me with all these adorable pics of J!! but i am sorry to hear that she is/was feeling sick. is she still all over the place? that poor girl.

ok i really had to tell someone....
i had said that we weren''t going to ttc until later this year or weren''t even going to be not preventing for another few months. my cycles were all over the place. i hadn''t had a period since march which i thought was fine and just my body''s way of getting back to normal after BFing. well, i have been so tired lately, and i am literally hungry right after i eat. so i thought, WTH..take a preggo test....ummmm yeah, BFP!!! unless it''s a false positive. i mean i haven''t confirmed with the doc yet. i have an appt with them next week for just a physical. i''ll call later and tell them about the BFP. DH and i were both shocked to say the least. i really don''t know how to feel right now. of course i am happy, but at the same time, i had no idea. when i was preggo with B, i KNEW i was preggo. but this time around, had no symptoms.
i''m going to wait a bit and test again, and then again tomorrow morning.

OMG Puffy!!!! Baby #2 and Brady will be less than 2 years apart after all. I don't think it's a false positive. How exciting. Congrats!!!!!
36.gif
36.gif
36.gif

Oh my goodness Puffy!!!!! CONGRATS!!!! No such thing as a real false positive! You are preggers lady!
