Tacori- omg those are the cutest pics!!! shes such a doll
9.gif

burk glad that everything went smoothly, with the exception of the fridge. and i am glad to hear that you didn''t kill your DH. haha. it must be so fun shopping for your future home!! is T napping better?

tacori T is cute as is, but i think all her rolls and dimples makes her even cuter. i''ve noticed that all B has left is his pudgy belly. his arm rolls are pretty much gone as are his thighs. he doesn''t even have the wrist fold anymore. i miss his rolls. haha. oh, did you treat yourself to some chocolate yet?

bobo i commented in your other thread, but that pendant is so pretty!! i love it. glad to hear that little B is good.

lili yup, B has a ton of hair!! he;s actually over due for a haircut. i usually bring him to get it cut once a month, but he hasn''t been to get it cut in almost 2 months. is J taking to whole milk? are you going to be weaning her?

today''s appt with at the burn clinic went really well. no more dressings, no more ointments, just have to keep the area clean, dry, lotion it, and put sunblock on it before going outside. we go back in 2 weeks.

Thanks Tacori. it was a fun little project.

Burk, I heard quartz is easier to maintain than granite too. Honestly I don''t really care, I''m the type that rather purchase a model home and be done with it.

Thanks puffy, I love the pendant, it was a fun little project for me. Happy to hear B''s appt. went well today.

Tacori
Yeah, until you have been pg, you really have NO idea
38.gif

Any male lurkers out there, a word to the wise - keep it to yourself ALWAYS!

Amazing how quickly they grow and change.
Speaking of which, I got a little chilly tonight, so I grabbed one of Ava''s sweatshirts b/c it was right there (not hung up as usual)
She said "Mom, you can have all of my clothes when I out grow them"
6.gif
LOL

Hug and squish that baby fat as much as you can. Sam was such a chubby little guy, and now his body fat is -0. Seriously, when he swims, he sinks like a stone!

Burk
You are very welcome. The magazine Old House Interiors puts out a Old House Interiors puts out a design source edition that is very useful. Can''t wait to see what you pick!

Bobo
Your pendant is just beautiful! Enjoy it in the best of health!

Puffy
Great news about B!
36.gif
You must be so relieved! How are you feeling?

bobo: how''re things going with the co-worker, they probably are feeling like a leper! If you wash your hands and stay away from close contained contact, that''s enough precaution. I love how you said you should have eaten more during pg!

tacori: yea, people who''ve never been pg just don''t know. I don''t get what the big deal is over weight gain, everyone gains different and it''s because the person is pregnant!! I didn''t mind gaining, I just got nervous the last weeks b/c it was still going 1 lb a week and had caught up to DH''s weight! But everyone thought I hadn''t gained much, and I''d say, uh 40lbs and rising. But then maybe everyone just was being polite! I''m jealous of the GTG, hope to see pics!!

puffy: great news on B and how''re you feeling, when''s your first doc appt?

burk: can''t wait to hear what you choose for counter!

Meanwhile, C has not been eating that great. She eats cereal fine, but not into the milk. She''ll drink enough to get over the hunger (around 3oz) and then she''s so difficult, turning her face, closing her lips tight. Is this a phase? I don''t want to force her but she won''t be getting enough milk if this keeps up!

Also, does anyone have tips for cleaning toys, particularly plush toys/plush toys with rattle. She puts it all in her mouth, drops on floor, who knows what else! I''ve heard things like throw in pillow case and then into dryer, spray with lysol...what works? For now we''ve been handwashing w/baby detergeant, but it''s pretty time consuming.

Sorry for the self centered post but they can proceed with my DH's offer!!!! So it looks like we are moving but there is still some red tape to get through before we have the offer letter in hand (they have to post the position publicly for 2 weeks and then it has to be down for 2 weeks before they can make a written offer-who writes these darn laws???) and thus before we can get our loans together for a house. Sigh. I am just so happy it's moving forward! And I still can't share IRL with everyone yet because we haven't told many people at school we might be moving (my main 2 advisors know but that is it). So I needed to share!

NF, congrats to you and your DH! Yay! That''s so exciting!

I am so behind. Hope to catch up later.

puffy~Glad the appointment went well and your done with dressings and ointments. YOu must be relieved! Hopefully DH continues to make it out of these trips alive!
12.gif
T has napped much better the past couple days. She was even up a little later last night without telling me she wanted to go "ni night" so we''re making progress!

Bobo~I usually like the look of granite better but we''ll have to see. Could you hire an interior decorator to help you out?

iluv~I found some great sites through the Old House Interiors link! Yay! I''ll have to get the book. Thanks!!

janine~I''ll make sure to post our choices. Are you thinking of renovating your kitchen in the near future? Not sure about T refusing the bottle....T never went through a phase like that (excluding when she refused to eat because of her reflux). If she doesn''t start eating more I''d call your pedi. As for cleaning the toys, I''ve done the pillow case thing. I usually put them in the freezer first and then into the dryer.

Neat~That''s great news! Congrats!
36.gif

Burk: Thanks! Why the freezer first though? Yes, we need to renovate our kitchen and bathrooms eventually (just moved into new house after living in 1bdrm apt for a decade!). We''ll likely do an expansion at the same time, so need to take some time to plan it right. I had thought white cabinets and granite counters with stainless steel appliances would be a nice clean look. But I know alot of people hate white cabinets, but seen some great kitchens in this motif. I''m going to hold off and see what other inspirations I have until the time comes. Curious about quartz counters..seems to be the new craze. Right now been stuck on decorating..not easy! I have some vision, but then have a hard time with actually pulling things together with accents (rugs, drapes, small pieces, art). I need an interior designer but don''t have the budget for one!

NF: congrats! sorry that I missed it--but where will you be moving too? Great news and exciting times for you and DH and the boys!

Janine~I do the freezer first because that''s what our allergist recommends (kills things like dust mites). You have a lot on your plate moving with new baby and decorating your new house. I''m sure the kitchen will happen in good time. When we renovated the kitchen in the house we''re in now we tore down two walls to increase the size and our architect was awesome with vision for where to put the appliances and cabinets-how to lay it all out. Soooo helpful. I''ll keep you posted on what we end up with.

Burk
You are welcome! Glad to help.

NF
Congrats to you and DH!
36.gif

tacori-those pictures of Tessa in her swimsuit are priceless...

neat-a huge congrats to you and your hubby..that is great news..

Thanks iluv! How nice of Ava to let you have her clothes.

Thanks Janine, The co-worker gets on everyone''s nerve by refused to wear a mask when he is being asked to. I remembered in the beginning of my pregnancy I gained like 6 lbs for the first 4 months and it slow down after that. I asked my doctor if I should try to limit my intake and she said no, she don''t want me to starved the baby.

Because the thing is you don''t know how much your baby is absorbing from you. I guess my point is as long as the doctor oks it then I don''t see why people should judge a preggo woman''s weight gain. wow, this turn out long...sorry.

NF, big Congrats!! Sorry you have to wait 4 more weeks but at least it''s moving

Burk, hmm...interior decorator, wonder how much they cost?

Hi Everyone! Things are pretty good on my end. Tyler is doing well I think. I''m doing the new exercises and looking forward to the early intervention thing. I am feeling guilty though that I could have helped the tight muscles or that I caused it. I know it''s wasted energy but I still feel it. Maybe the swing or the swaddling contributed to the tight muscles? although my friend did say that a colic-y tense baby could just have tight muscles from being stressed alot. I dunno.

Ok enough about me.

neat Hooray!!! I am so happy for you for the good news. Looking forward to having you guys here!!!

Puffy Im glad to hear the appt went well and you are done with the dressings! How is b? Was he stressed at the appt? How are you feeling? When is your appt?

Iluv Ava is so funny!! How are you?

Bobo congrats on the pendant! I have to go check it out!

NYC how are you feeling? How are the babies?

Burk so awesome the shopping went well? I wish I could make decisions with dh like that. We got an umbrella for the back yard and still need furniture but he wont commit to buying
7.gif
I guess I am kind of pushing it because we just got some furniture for the dining room and a new rug. I think he doesn''t like spending all this money when I am not working and he probably resents it. what fun.haha. sorry I am probably sharing too much. oh btw the craftsman thing- so excited/jealous !!! I love that style and it is my dream home. Maybe I can buy yours in 10 years when you are ready to move out!!!!haha.

Tacori the pics are sooooo cute of Tessa!!!! Excited to see you in June- I hope I am not in PHila while you are here. I may be. what are you coming out to do? Buy some jewelry? Vacation? lucky girl!

Lili hope J is feeling better!! is she sleeping better?

Tandog mom I am still tring to work out the daycare thing. I have a nanny helping me that I met through my bestie. Also another woman(a mom of my friend) is back on the scene as a possibility which is huge because she is more affordable and close to my job. Definitley word of mouth for me. I have looked on craigs list but it''s scary to just pick someone out of thin air basically. Definitely the ladies here sharing their exp with daycare are making it sound like a great option. I would just like to wait until T is a little older. Welcome to the mommies page!!!

Dd glad to hear that the man is back on his sleeping plan. I transitioned T to his crib this week. He is doing not too bad there but I figured it may take a little while to get used to it. Then I will wean the swaddle- I don''t want to do too much at once. Strangely enough he decided to take the pacifier again which I am happy about b/c it is nice to have another option.

tgal! how are you feeling? root canal sounds not fun. how is amelia?

ok i gotta run. sorry if i missed anyone!

oh lia and burk- t has some eczema now on his legs and alot of cradle cap- did t have any eczema? cant it be related to food allergies? if it is not itchy do i need hydrocortisone(on legs) or can i just use vaseline?

Hello to all,

I thought some of the mothers here might be interested in reading this recent NYTimes article and asking their pediatricians about this new potential treatment for chronic eczema:

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/04/28/health/research/28regi.html?em

It seems diluting some bleach into bath water might be beneficial in chronic cases but, of course, you need to check with your child's pediatrician. It is an interesting approach, though.

Here's another article:

http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/147954.php

Bobo~Not sure how much one would cost in your area. Maybe just call around and get some quotes? It would be worth it if you really don't have a vision or the desire to do it yourself I would think?

pave~I think it's sometimes hard for men to make house/furniture decisions. My DH still makes comments about me working part time some times...I don't know that he resents it but sometimes wishes that extra money was there? Men. I know the craftsman thing isn't for everyone but DH and I both love the style. I hope we can achieve it with our house. You're more than welcome to come visit if you bring Tyler!
9.gif
As for the eczema- yes it's a food allergy sign sometimes. Sometimes not. T never had it, but I would get him in to get it looked at since he has other food related issues. Has he been doing better as far as being fussy lately?

AGSHF~Thanks for posting that. We have quite a few babies around here that have eczema.

Bobo
Commented over in your OEC thread, but it doesn''t hurt to say it again -- i luv
30.gif
30.gif
your little OEC.
It''s very pretty and dainty looking. Can''t wait for your neck shots.
Good luck w/ the kitchen renovation -- and I agree those can be such headaches espeically for those of us who don''t really have a preference.
I''m like you, just buy a model home w/ the furnitures and just move right on in
5.gif

Tacori
Yup, Miss T is growing up so fast.
I remember it just like yesterday when you are in tears when she didn''t want to come out on your EDD.
Now, you''ve got a sassy little girl.

Burk
6 months time is not bad.
W/ no delay, you guys will have a new home to celebrate the holidays!
We did give J some tylenol and she''ll be fine when the medicine kicks in.
Hoping her ear infection goes away soon.
It''s hard to tell if she''s having an ear infection or if her molars are coming in -- pretty much the same symptom w/ the ear pulling no?

Puffy
Wow, haircut once a month? That''s as often as a grown man.
The good thing about having a little girl is that you can get away w/ cutting her hair for a while.
But then you''ll have to deal w/ the hair tying though
14.gif

Glad to hear that the appt went well and that little B is healing nicely.
Yay for no more bandages -- I''m sure B is celebrating as you are driving home.
J is still not taking whole milk.
I haven''t been forcing it on her since her fever and shots a few weeks ago.
I had hoped to wean her by 1 yr...but that date may be pushed out a little...

iluvcarats
LOL...too funny what Ava said.
I''m amazed you can fit into your 10-yo''s clothes!
You must be a tiny thing!

NF
Congrats!! That''s awesome news.

Pave
Don''t feel guilty. You are doing a great job.

lili~I think the 6 months will go fast. It'll be summer soon and I'll be off and home with T and then when school starts again it'll be volleyball season and that always flies! I'm excited to host Christmas next year!
36.gif
Could be teeth. It is hard to tell what's going on with the kiddos since they can't tell us. I hate it. I would take her back in to have your doc look at her ear if she doesn't seem to be better over the weekend-she may not have kicked it and need an antibiotic.

hi everyone! my kids have me so busy I just have no time to keep up with this thread, but I think of you all from time to time & hope all the wee ones are well!

Delaney just got her first haircut....she was rockin'' a pretty scraggly mullet. It was not pretty. She looks so sweet now..and she''s TALL. Off the charts for height.

xoxo

diver

PUFFY, B is so cute! That picture cracks me up! Yay for new macbook! Glad B is healing well. Wow, a hair cut once a month!? When did B get his first hair cut? I''ve been wondering when D should get his first hair cut. It''s getting long but I want to grow it out and see how he looks with longish hair. What was your experience weaning B? If I remember correctly, he was weaned around 1 year old?

TACORI, love the pictures of Tessa! LOVE that baby fat! So cute! How did she get so big!? Time flies!

JANINE, hope C starts to eat more. Maybe her tooth is bothering her? If it continues, I''d call your pedi.

LILI, QT, hope your little ones feel better soon!

Hi DIVER! We miss you!

Hi EVERYONE ELSE! Have a great weekend!

Diver
What? No pictures to share?
41.gif

Burk
I will do that.
Last night was the first time she wake up screaming and tugging at her ear.
Most nights, she''d just fussed.

snlee
Thanks. I hope she gets better soon too.
Hehe, you should leave D''s hair as is til he''s one...just to see how long it''ll get.

Thanks Burk, but DH is not into finding a interior decorator to help. Man...

Thanks pave, little B had eczema on his leg when he was hospitalized for kawasaki and lanolin help clear it up.

Thanks lili, at first I wasn''t sure about the double milgraining and was going to put it on ebay but I''m warming up to it so the pendant gets to stay. Posted some neck shots you can go check it out. Life will be so much easier with a ready to move in model home.

Hi Diver~

Bobo
Checked out your neck shots.
I think you should put it on ebay (just let me what you put it under
41.gif
)

iluv haha, your Ava story cracked me up!! kids are so darn funny. i am definitely relieved that B is healing and we don''t have to wrap him up anymore. i''m sure he''s happy about it too. i''m feeling pretty good, thanks for asking.

janine i go to the doc on tuesday. i hope C starts to take to milk more. B was like that also, but i think that''s because he REALLY was full as he was getting a ton of solid food.

NF YAY, that''s great news!!!!

burk glad T is making progress with her naps, then you guys also get more time with her at night.

pave glad to hear that tyler is doing well with his exercises!! sorry to hear about tyler''s eczema. have you talked to the pedi about it? B also had eczema and terrible cradle cap. hope it clears up soon. poor kid!!

lili haha, i joke with DH that B gets his haircut as often as he does. well DH gets his cut 2 times a month. i would rather be trying to tie hair instead of bringing a screaming toddler to get his hair cut. it''s definitely not fun. he used to be so good when he got his hair cut, but now all he does is fight it!! you''ll wean J when she''s ready. there''s no rush, as long as she is getting what she needs.

snlee haha, thanks! i got B his first haircut at 3 months. it was just getting way too long by then and people kept asking me how old my baby girl was, so i knew it was time. yeah, i weaned B around 12 months, maybe a few weeks after he turned 1. he was pretty easy to wean. i would just distract him and give him whole milk in his cup and he would be fine. but i started giving him whole milk around 11 months just as a drink, but i was still nursing. he really didn''t care too much about being weaned, except of course the night time feeding. he kept trying to get to it himself, and i had to hold him while he screamed bloody murder, but he eventually exhausted himself out and fell asleep, and the next night, after he had his milk in a cup, he went to sleep. i''m sure D looks adorable with longish hair. i love babies with longish hair, so cute!!

have a great weekend everyone!!

Puffy
Hehe, you should just B a buzz hair cut!
Then there''s no need for him to sit still (at least not for too long)
41.gif

Wow, that must have been a nightmare trying to get rid of the cradle cap on top of that headful of hair.
Can''t believe he needed a haircut at 3 months.
I''d like to see his baby pictures prior to his first cut
5.gif

Happy May! Hope all mommies and babies have a good weekend.

Neat- great news...finally!

Pave- thanks for askin...im hangin in there with lots of help still...MIL comes from 8-3 m-f (like a nanny)...which is a big help...we wheel the kiddos out of our room and we get lots of sleep in the a.m. ...my sis still takes jackie for the night so we only deal with jonathan ..which isn''t an easy task on its own lol...it seems like he is great during the day then at night he decides to be cranky and wake up every2 instead of 3 hrs to feed then takes a while to fall asleep. MIL excercises them before feedings so maybe that''s y they sleep better? Dunno. Dh is goin back to work on tuesday
7.gif
and that brings me into my "blues" again! He is such a big help and I just don''t know what to do w.o. Him. He works 5pm-3am and im not a happy camper!
Enough of me lol...will try to get an hr of sleep now ;)
