Oh Lynn! When I saw the new pics of the fabulous Mr. Boo I shrieked at the computer! The kids came running with the cat and proceeded to show him Boo''s new pictures. We. Are. All. Pathetic. In. This. House. I love his outdoor ''cabana''. The kids asked if it was a cat pack and play, LOL!!!

Leo''s new favorite activity is chasing the flashlight. He gets so wild. My family was over yesterday for a bday party for DS and were completely entertained by Leo''s new flashlight tricks. Our fave is when he turns around in circles, the way some dogs chase their tails, chasing the light. Run to the light Carol Anne - we tell him as he''s tearing off down the hall after it!
Hi Miranda! Thanks for the note!
I have to tell you that I *CRACKED UP* over the last photos you posted of Leo!!! LEO THE TARGET???!!! Haha, I am LOL!
BTW, how old is he now and what does he weigh? Did he ''stall out'' in his growing for a few months? (See above post about Boo''s growth.)
And one more question, please... is he a lap cat???!
Thanks!
Yes, poor Leo is the Nerf target. He goes crazy chasing and biting those things. The chuncker needs the exercise, though. He''ll be 2 on July 17. He weighs 15 1/2 lbs. He stalled at 14 1/2 lbs for a long time. Yes, I broke down and bought a scale...To weigh the CAT! And no, he''s not really a lap cat. He will *sometimes* sit on my younger DS''s lap for a while, but, nobody else is given this highest honor. Like Boo, he''s always with us and loves pets. He sleeps with DH and I or DD. He likes to be held if I am walking around. But, alas, no lappie snuggles. I hold him until he squirms loose (is that cat abuse?). And tell him that he will be a lap cat one day whether he likes it or not. Every other cat I''ve ever had was a lap cat so this is *sniff* *sniff* very difficult for me to handle.

AmberG, those pics are precious! How great that you bought a sofa to match your beloved kitty.

Leo has a little bit of armpit hair, but, nothing like Ollie''s. That would crack us up, too.

Here''s him taking to our new couch right away (this picture taken, literally, 20 minutes after the couch was delivered). He matches beautifully, don''t you think?
OMG those back feet tufts are deadly....
30.gif

YES, BOO HAS ARMPIT TUFTIES!!!!
23.gif
9.gif
30.gif
And I LUUUURVE them!! They are so snuggly, kissable and mooschable!

I'll try to get a picture showing it! In fact, his ampits are the only place he has ever gotten a mat.

Boo's armpit tufties don't seem quiiiite as pronounced as Mr. Ollie's. Hmmmm, I know! Maybe the Armpit Tufties are somehow chromosomally (sp?!) related to The Tail, that would explain it!!!!

hehe Lynn - I totally agree about the face shape, Ollie's is definitely more angular. In fact, I think the shape of his face and the size of his ears are really the only thing that might convince me has has something besides Raggie in him, although even those seem within the range of what I've seen on other, "real" raggies.

I'm so excited that Boo has armpit tufties too - I'm totally going to tell DH and you MUST post pics. We think armpit tufties are just about the silliest-looking thing ever in our house

Hehe FG - you should see them in person
31.gif
Sometimes, especially when he''s napping like that and they are sticking out I just can''t resist playing with them
11.gif
27.gif
Unfortunately, it always wakes him up and he gets crabby at me
15.gif
But of course, him being crabby is awfully cute too

Miranda - I honestly didn''t get the couch for that reason, but it is a nice bonus
9.gif
And yes, the armpit tufties are a source of much mirth - when he sits up like in that picture, they always stick out and it just looks so absurd. And then he looks so confused because he can''t figure out why we are laughing at him...poor guy

How could I have missed this thread? What beautiful babies you guys have! I just love ragdolls, they''ve been my dream cats for may many years but I just couldn''t justify adopt one from a breeder. Then one day I found him on Petfinder and I cried and begged until my BF caved in and drove me 10 hours to go adopt him.

Here''s my bear, Loki. I can''t believe he was just a wee little ugly furball who''s grown into a whopping 18lb of a cat/bear. Not the sharpest of the lot but just the sweetest and most personable kitty ever, even if he needs to go on a diet per direction from my vet.
39.gif

I think these are about the only photos where he doesn''t end up looking like a big foot. He''s not photogenic at all!

He actually DOES look a bit like bigfoot here...

That''s such a lovely story about how you adopted him - our Ollie is a rescue as well, only we had no idea he might be a Raggie - they thought he was some kind of snowshoe mix...clearly not
20.gif

I''m sorry Loki needs a diet. What are you feeding him? We are working in dieting right now with our kitties, and we feed a mix of Innova regular dry food and Innova EVO - our vet says that is WAY better than the usual Iams/Purina/supermarket brand stuff, because way less carby fillers means kitty has much better nutrition and an easier time losing weight.

The funny thing is, about a year ago I switched them from dry food to 100% wet diet of Evo after reading so much about nutrients, all the health issues of feeding dry, etc. My vet also told me that it''ll help in both putting weight on one that needs it and taking it off of Loki who was already a big boy.

A year later Loki has GAINED weight, while Max who needed to gain weight LOST it
38.gif
Vet declared that Loki is breaking all the rules and I might want to contact Evo and see what they say
20.gif
So I might have to feed Loki separately so he can lose weight, feed Max separately so he can gain weight, and of course my baby girl Roxy is already getting fed separately since she can''t eat by herself. Never a dull moment
37.gif

Oh my, that does sound very complicated and problematic. I''m sorry that you are having such issues with your kitties and feeding.

Perhaps consider a raw diet? We''ve not tried one, as our vet said she didn''t see a need UNLESS we couldn''t get them to a good weight on their current Innova mixed w/ EVO diet. She said if their weight didn''t go in the right direction on that it was worth trying the raw to see if that might help.

I would love to put my guys on RAW! That''s my ultimate goal but I definitely need to learn a lot more about it if I''m to do it properly. I''ll also will have to figure out a way for my special little lady Roxy, born with a neurological condition, to be able to eat the new diet. She has severe coordination issues as well as really weird teeth. Her baby teeth never fell out and the ones she does have either are barely there or in odd places
40.gif
Vet says not to worry about it since she hs no problem eating wet food but I would be worried with the RAW diet.

Just took this photo today of Boo; he was outside, intently watching a little bug. I thought it was toooooo cute!!!

Anyone else have any recent photos to share?!!

Awwww, Wishful, whatta sweet post! Thank you!

I'm telling you, I have never met a cat I didn't love or think was beautiful, but there really is just something so special to me about my Raggie! He is just so gentle and so loving and always so SWEET... I think that's what makes him so adorable and endearing -- his personality. Well, that and all that warm, soft bunny fur... and that sweet, velvety little pink button nose... and those big, round, beautiful blue eyes...

Awww, Lynn! His little face is so cute in that picture!

Here is my very rare grey short hair raggie (hahaaaaa) - seldom caputured on film...also frequently mistaken for a fruit bat....

Here is Pinecone (aka Piney pine pine or Pin Pin for short - yes I'm fully aware that I am a complete weirdo....) I love him so much.

Here is another of both the babies. Pine covered in all his toys (just for fun) and Pumpkin making sure he's not missing out on anything important.

And with that I stop the threadjack and hand it back over to the beautiful Ragdolls!

Wishful, it is rare to see these exotic grey shorthair ragdolls in captivity! Lucky you!
2.gif
Beautiful kitties you have there!

Lynn, every time I see new pics of Boo it''s like ''watching the kids grow up!!!!'' He looks so ADULTish now that his face has darkened up!
5.gif

Awwww, FG, THANKS!

He really IS growing up, isn''t he?!
30.gif
Sometimes I look over and see this HUGE CAT stretched out on the ottoman or the couch or the bed, and I do a little double-take... like, "WHOA! Who is THAT and what did they do with my LEEEEETLE BABEEEE, Boo?!!!"

We were cracking up at how he was sleeping here... look how his left "arm" is tucked/twisted underneath/behind him! Does NOT look comfortable, but he was sure OUT COLD! We were LOL and snapping pictures and he never even MOVED!

OMG, how silly! Cats seem to fall asleep in the strangest positions, especially kittens. Boo looks like such a lump of love sleeping there!

sssshhh...don''t awake the baby!!!

I LOVE how dark and gorgeous his fur is getting, and look at those gorgeous blue blue eyes
30.gif
30.gif
Did I ever tell you guys the blue eyes are how we ended up with Ollie in the first place? He was kind of a funny looking little guy as a baby, but DH just fell in love with the gorgeous sapphire blue eyes, and said we HAD to take him home
9.gif

wishful - your babies are SO CUTE. I LOVE me some grey kitties - I keep telling my mom she has to get one so we can have a grey kitties in the family
2.gif
That picture covered in the toys is hilarious, and your orange tabby is darling. I''ve found they usually have just the loveliest personalities - our orange tabby loves everyone, is super affectionate with us, and is the ultimate lap cat - I can barely sit still but she''s there for lap time. Don''t tell her but I LOVE it

Awww AG thank you!!! Your baby is adorable as well! So handsome!

I agree on the greys...Pinecone is such a sweetie. A little love muffin. The orange guy on the other hand well, we call him the "unfortunate child" because he is always getting into things he shouldn't be. Chewing plastic, climbing in cabinets and making a mess, leaping up on the bed and landing smack on my stomach (at 15 solid pounds it's quite the rude awakening at 3am!
38.gif
) But I love him all the same. He makes for good entertainment!

And FG thank you as well!

Boo has gotten huge! DD thought it was two cats stretched out on the ottoman. I think she saw the wee paw peeking out. She was a little disturbed that one cat was suffocating the other until I showed her that it was one cat.

Nope, that''s just one big cat right there! Although, surprisingly, he really doesn''t WEIGH that much... (still not any more than 12 pounds!) -- him''s not FAT, him''s FLUFFY!!!
2.gif

I''ll bet he''d be actually be quite a scrawny little pipsqueak all soaking wet!!!
