. This is the 3rd pet I have had to put down. The first two were old age. It is still very sad, but different. You know they lived a long life. I'm currently in nursing school and in my hardest semester. I failed the test immediately after finding out the news. I can't concentrate much of the day. She lives with my parents, since I moved into my apt and we can't have pets. My parents live 5 mins down the road though so I always visited her 3-4 times a week. I've been spending every waking moment with her that's possible. I have debated moving back home so I can see her more. I really feel broken inside. I see her sweet face and her greeting me and kissing me and so happy I'm home and I can't imagine my life without that welcome.
I'm sitting here crying right now. I have to leave for work, but I don't want to leave her. My parents went away this week to finalize plans on their new house. They did not want to leave her. they are retired and spend every minute with her, and im so worried for my dads health. He cries everyday and im so afraid he will have a heart attack or stroke. my mom had to force him to get on the plane so that they could meet the builder. I am on spring break and I am staying here full time. I go to work at 3 and them my SO comes over from 5:30pm when he gets out of work, until I get back at 11:30pm.
I don't think I can go through this again. Old age is one thing, seeing and knowing your pet is going through something like this....I don't think I can take that chance again. here's some of our pictures from today while I was studying.

LoveLikeCrazy, my heart breaks for you. Your pup is beautiful - she looks like a very sweet, loving girl.
Losing a pet to cancer sucks big time. It really isn't the same as losing a pet to old age. I'm crying for you.

LLC - I was hoping that things would turn around for you and that your fur baby would beat the odds. I am so sorry. I can't imagine, though, a better plan than the one you've made for him. He's at home, surrounded by all that he knows and all that love him; you have provided for all circumstances, with pain meds on hand if and when he needs them. He will never feel alone or unloved because of you and your family. So in a truly loving manner, you are doing your best to make it the best it can be for you and him. Big hugs to all of you.

I wish you strength during this difficult time. I too, am going through a similar situation. Not sure if you've read my story, but my 16 year old kitty had to be put to sleep on December 1st (cancer), and the kitty we adopted just 11 days after her death was just diagnosed with cancer as well, so we are going through this again. It's so sad. Cancer is such a horrible disease. I will keep your baby in my thoughts and prayers. HUGS!

She is still doing well considering. Just starting to limp a little when she gets up, but once she starts going she is fine. She is still the Bella we all know and love. She is playing and giving kisses and playing with her toys, so i am thankful for that. Here are two newer photos...
Lil Misfit: I had read your original posting last year I am so sorry that the wonderful kitty that you adopted has also fell ill. I am so sorry that you have had to go through this once, nevermind twice and so close together. All we can do is provide the love, kisses and hugs to make their days the best they can be. I've tried to hide emotion around her so i don't stress her out. Strength, hugs, and dust to your family and your kitty!

She is still doing well considering. Just starting to limp a little when she gets up, but once she starts going she is fine. She is still the Bella we all know and love. She is playing and giving kisses and playing with her toys, so i am thankful for that. Here are two newer photos...

My SO's family is here for a weekend visit.
Say Hi to Cheekie, their 5-month old female Shi-Tzu puppy.
She weighs 3 pounds, 9 ounces; ours are each 12 pounds.
Sheesh! I thought WE had sheshe doggies.

Our girls didn't really like a cuter and younger girl stealing their spotlight.
My SO's family is here for a weekend visit.

I just have to add one of my all time favorites of my dear Billy who died in 2009. This pic is too cute! He loved to hop into any space available no matter how crazy. This is him in my mom's freezer. LOL. He was such a darling. More like a dog in cat's clothing lol.
And then ofc the iconic picture of francesca on blinds pose. My avatar kitty.
And I cannot leave out Tommy and Bobby. This is of Tommy right after he broke his tail and we had to rush to the ER after hours on my dh's birthday. Oh that Tommy knows how to get attention! And Bobby. Our crybaby kitty. He is always craving attention and cries quite loudly if we don't shower him with love and attention!

The little girl with the innocent face decided to eat 4 of my power bars (luckily they were the peanut butter ones and not chocolate) and the whole bag of cow tails I just got her.
The thing is, I pushed all of these against the wall. She can't jump that high! She can't reach it. I think she had help from Emma....
Guilty face. Yet, she doesn't partake in the gorging.
