Ring inspiration boards

Well.. here's my ring inspiration board! As one can plainly see, I'm torn

I'm mostly gravitating towards an antique looking setting, but simply can't decide on the center stone (diamond vs. colored gemstone, chunky cushion vs. asscher).

I'd like to give credit to neatfreak, musey, lovey, Mariposa, Harriet, scarlet16, and bem3231 for inspiring me.

I don''t post, but I had so much fun doing this, I wanted to show it to someone!

The other day, the boyfriend told me that my love/knowledge of diamonds makes it rather intimidating to consider buying me a ring one day. (Let me state that it will likely be 1-2 years before this actually happens.) He also said that he wants it to be a surprise. So, we are going to have diamond several short ''diamond lessons'' where I teach him what I know. Short is key, as he starts to get overwhelmed after even a few minutes - some how, the idea of spending a large lump sum on a diamond/ring seems to stress him out... The text book is pricescope, and GOG and WF serve as practice tests. Hehe.

Anyway, I thought I should have something to guide him when deciding on a setting. So, I decided to have some fun creating this! I have a feeling that he''s not ready to view it yet... it would probably result in a ''Whoa. Don''t need to know this right now. Cannot Compute.'' response. The boyfriend moves slow, and I love him for it because he really means everything he says and does.
