I love this one..
Is that a bird mouth open? It''s hard for me to tell what''s going on in the pictures, they are a little dark for me. I LOVE the color of the eggs, so pretty!! My Mom has some birds, not sure what type, that nest in the eaves of their house and she is always feeding them and stuff, they have been there for a few years now. They had babies one year and you could hear them chirping in the nest as you walked by the side of the house.Date: 4/24/2006 2:02:23 PM

I don''t know if someone mentioned this but the little babies sometimes fall out of the nest, it used to happen at my ex''s house all the time. So keep an eye out, it''s so sad to see the little babies out of the nest.
me too! that''s so cool.. I don''t think I''ve ever seen a baby bird that young before. Thanks again for sharing mrssalvo.Date: 4/24/2006 2:02:23 PM

Of course, whenever you tell another NYC''er about that, their response is ''Ewwwwwwwwwww'' ...
Yes, put them back in the nest. But, if they hop out again - they may be flying the coup! My dilema was that I wasn''t sure what stage the little fella was at the point he "fell", hopped or was pushed out of the nest. On the safe side, I went ahead and put him back in the nest. Low and behold 10 minutes later he was back on the ground - with his siblings following shortly after! Evidently, they don''t fly right away. They sort of hop around and go from low bush to low bush. It''s how they learn to fly. It''s also a very dangerous time for them - so keep your cats or dog inside. They become your charge - I stood and "babysat" for as long as I could.Date: 4/24/2006 2:43:02 PM
