Thanks, we're getting there: pseudoephedrine, Excedrin, and antihistamines are helping.

Looks decent, but I think the steep-steep crown and pavilion angle pairing is carrying some slightly higher risk than a 40.6-40.8 PA paired with that 34.8 CA. Would want ASET Scope images to confirm for sure.

Do your eyes gravitate towards one more than the other?
 
They’re both very pretty. I feel like I gravitate toward the 1.74- the arrows- I think that’s what you call them :)) feel more prominent but I am feeling the smaller one to be a better size. Definitely see a difference between the 2 in that regards. Is there any concern with the thinner girdle of the 1.57?

I know! I’m not sure what I got myself into… or how I’m going to get out of it. I am somewhat leaning toward the smaller one as I’m going to do a 3 stone ring now.. with pear accents on either side (DK is sourcing those for me).. is the thinner girdle on the 1.57 a concern at all?
 
I have awful reception / Wi-Fi so can’t see the video yet but they both look gorgeous in the pictures.

If you feel the larger is the better I would definitely go with that. Diamond ‘shrinkage’ is a thing. The difference in diameter is very small in reality and the width of a 1.7ct should give you almost exactly 50% finger coverage on a size 5 finger which is a great proportion.

Google pics of the diamond size and finger on places like Reddit and you’ll likely find a bunch of real peoples pictures to help.
 
I’m still at the crossroads. I feel like the 1.74 is a little big and the 1.57 is a little small. But is there anything really that falls between that would be worth it? :confused:
 
The difference in diameter is probably less than half a millimetre - so just a fraction - surface area a few % different and I’ve heard so many times people say that after a few weeks of wearing it will appear smaller as you / they get used to it.

Of course, there should be some in between but it is almost literally like splitting hairs
 
I'd say look for a couple/few in the 1.63-1.66 carats if 1.74 seems slightly too large

Yep, 5832 looks great to me!
I also found some GIA graded diamonds, albeit they are in a higher price realm around $850 per.
