Sophie at the Arab woman of the year award ceremony in London

I could have found a necklace to coordinate with that dress ... and a brooch
But i must say that one cuff of the dress is pretty cool

Edit
I would also have found a hair oriniment to compliment this outfit

Oh just imangine those ears of weat hair oriniments with that green dress on Kate
Commioned in 1830 by George 1V for Queen Adelaide, the present queen has worn them as a brooch and as a hair slide like how she lent them to Princess Eugene for her evening wedding reception

Assuming of course they have no links to anything related to slavery of course which could be why the Dutchess is playing the bling down ?

Thank you @Daisys and Diamonds !

I find those two do a great job. Monarchist or not and all the past implications to the side: they are working hard for their sovereign and I think they're great value for money for the British taxpayer.
And the duchess is a beautiful woman. I wouldn't be able to bear the pressure and hardly know anyone who would be able to in the long term. Just my two cents early in the morning...

@prince.of.preslav @prince.of.preslav @prince.of.preslav wake up !

Is that a brooch i spy at HRH's waste ?
Edit (kind of saddly) is it a royal order ?
Oh well at least she's getting the idea of it

Hey, I'm awake! Yes, it's the star of an order. The Royal Victorian Order, to be precise, of which Catherine is Dame Grand Cross.

The order is worn by British royal ladies at formal occasions. Usually, these are tiara events, but there are exceptions.

In 2013 the Duchess of Cornwall wore the star and sash of the RVO at the inauguration of King Willem-Alexander in Amsterdam.

*although orders and decorations are usually associated with white tie, they can also be worn with black tie. In these cases only the breast stars and miniatures are worn by both men and women.

There IS a matching necklace, but I'm glad the Countess did not wear it at the gala. The dress is nice enough without further bling.

I too agree the dress does not need a necklace - had the lace panel been plain without beading, yes; otherwise, no; all IMHO of course.

DK :))

I would have worn some kind of big gold necklace with that green dress ...channeling my Australian neighbours maybe :lol-2: :lol-2:
But i might have also chopped the neckline off
Nope ! I would have borrowed Cam's golden kiwi (perhaps not for a trip to Jamaica but we may very well see that dress again in the future)
Kate certainly looks lovelly in green
That emerald chocker Diana wore maybe - im thinking that is back in the vault
I kind of subscribe to the Queen Mary jewel book when it comes to piling it on

I was just about to post pics from the Commissioning Parade for service personnel from across the Caribbean, which TRH attended today.

On display were pearl drop earring borrowed from The Queen, bracelet inherited from Diana, Princess of Wales and the usual ring stack:

PS: My Fair Lady at Ascot in the Caribbean - that's what I call the look from today!

I also want to see the choker again. Maybe mounted on a simple frame and worn as a bandeau/small tiara.

BTW, I believe the emerald jewels were specifically selected to mimic the yellow and green Jamaican flag. Other jewels, like the choker, are set in platinum, so the impact would've been lost.

Im thinking the BRF don't have much onyx in the fault :lol-2:
I do love a bandeau worn bandeau style
There are some lovelly citrene jewles out there but i don't think they have any

I would like to see Camilla commission a tiera - it seems only fare - every other Queen before her has had some fun

But imangine the headlines in the left wing press :(2

She does look perfection
Love seeing her in pearls especially Di's pearls

i am tempered to add a pearl necklace but i found personally this summer was too hot and i couldn't stand the weight on my neck

Cam looks like it might be cold in Ireland ?
I kind of see earings
Perhaps the golden kiwi is under there ?

Yes, the ones with the briolette drop.
Was the equine engagement related to Brook's?

Back to the Cambridge tour of the Caribbean...

On her last day in Jamaica the Duchess wore a hummingbird brooch and her Kikis with topaz/citrine drops
gettyimages-1387520123-2048x2048~2.jpggettyimages-1387521863-2048x2048~2.jpg

And then for the welcoming ceremony in the Bahamas a pair of turquoise and gold statement jewellery - another flag nod on the trip.

Personally, I think she had enough jewels for the engagement without trying to copy Queen Mary. I might've added a small diamond bow brooch at the centre of her neckline, but not sure.

She can redo the ruby breastplate into a decent tiara and a more wearable necklace. It's Crown property, so the outrage should be minimal. Only cost is for the alteration.

They are in the Bahamas today and tomorrow, then off to London. We also have the memorial service for the late Duke of Edinburgh on 29th to look forward to. It will be the first major royal gathering since COVID started.

The hummingbird brooch is another loan from The Queen. It was given to her in 2002 for the Golden Jubilee.
