i was getting all excitted but its a loaner
the Grace pink diamond

The princely couple of Monaco stepped out in New York City on Thursday evening for the Princess Grace Awards Annual Gala, celebrating this year's class of Princess Grace Award winners in theater, dance and film. Albert, 64, was dapper in a classic tux, while Charlene, 44, glowed in a sleeveless floral gown and a very special necklace.

In a fashion first, Charlene had the honor of wearing the pink Grace Diamond for its public debut. The 1.79-carat radiant cut sparkler is owned by Maison Mazerea, a new brand specializing in rare colored diamonds, uniquely autonomous in its process from mining to design. Fastened by Parisian jeweler Lorenz Bäumer into a necklace called "La Vie en Rose," the center gem will later be removed and reimagined into a successive collection of pieces under the Maison Mazerea name.

@Daisys and Diamonds , this is my own poppy pin.

The leaf could have been more vivid in colour, however, it will do.

DK :))

Sir Peter Jackson paid and had these made at his Wellington workshop as he is a bit of a war buff
see they were doing major road works as part of the motor way extention at the same time as they were developing the national war memorial park i think for the centneary of the start of WW1
the new tunnel goes under the park

the Arras Tunnel was named to honour the wartime efforts of the New Zealand Tunnelling Company in the French town of Arras during the First World War.
they even invited the then mayor of Arras to come open it

so nice idea
but blo**dy ugly poppies
i think they have to clean them on a regular basis

Princess Alexandra of Luxembourg has been engaged to Mr. Nicolas Bagory. The wedding is set to take place next spring, so get your pearls and hat ready, ladies!

those turquoise are making my heart all fluttery :kiss2:

id love to see a close up of the ring
this is all i can find about it :(2
A formal portrait of Princess Alexandra and Nicolas was released with the statement, showing the happy couple posing closely together. Making things official, the princess' intricate engagement ring was on full display — a gold band encrusted with what appear to be diamonds and other colored gems.

1667859126303.pngBuckingham Palace has revealed the new cypher of Queen Consort Camilla. This is expected to be seen in public for the first time on Thursday when featured on the cross she will lay at Westminster Abbey's Field of Remembrance.

Queen Cam's new cypher
not techniaclly a jewel but its very pretty

my Sophie ....
HRH stepped out in Sheffield on Thursday to present the youngest-ever recipient with a British Empire Medal (BEM). Fundraiser "Captain" Tobias Weller, 11, was presented with the BEM by the Countess of Wessex at his school in Sheffield.
Tobias, who has cerebral palsy and autism, was nicknamed "Captain" after he was inspired by his hero Captain Sir Tom Moore to start raising money during the pandemic lockdowns.

He raised more than £157,000 for Paces School, where he is a student, and The Children's Hospital Charity, in his home town of Sheffield, South Yorkshire.

i read about this on the Royal family twitter but the picture wasnt very good but
the trouble with then getting the news via the gutter press website is they are more interested in clothes and shoes than i am and the handbag gets a bigger write up than young Tobias, whom should have been the majority of the article :angryfire:

also of a cornern is how they wrote about the necklace
this kind of coverage just encourages minimiliatic, cheap fashion jewlery and at best kikis from the younger ladies of the royal family

This necklace costs a whopping £7,734.37, and it looks like a little handbag on a chain, with the letter "H" inscribed on the jewel.:angryfire:

which makes me mad because a nice piece of jewlery will last generations and will fit anybody where as a coat can becomse too small. goes out of fashion, gest moth eaten or wears out long before the necklace will :angryfire:

As Duchess of Cornwall she gave a gold charm bracelet to Catherine with her cypher, so maybe we'll see the jewelled form of this one as well :)

Other "colored gems"? I see none in the ring!

Yes, the Napoleonic turquoises are yummy!

It would be interesting to see the brooches that will be worn by the royal ladies at this year's Remembrance Sunday.

I wonder if the late HM QE II's Dorset bow brooch or other bow brooches would make an appearance for instance.

On a side note - I sang God Save The King in public for the first time at the end of a concert in memory of the late HM QE II, and I got very emotional. :cry2:

DK :))

Are you ready for some Oranje-Nassau glitter?

Three Dutch royal ladies wore dazzling jewels last night to host a State Dinner for the President of Italy and his daughter in Amsterdam.

Queen Maxima wore the Ornate pearl tiara with 5 upright pearls, 5 rows of pearls (with the impressive clasp at the back) and simple pearl and diamond studs and her own ring. This setting of the tiara was last worn by then-Queen Beatrix the night before she abdicated.

Princess Beatrix wore one of the lighter tiaras - the Art Deco aquamarine bandeau with matching earrings and ring. But she didn't stop there - HRH added a riviere and star brooch to her ensemble for the night.FhMIDwoXgAEcZ-f1.jpgFhMIDwoXgAEcZ-f.jpg

Last but not least, we have Princess Margriet. I've always thought that she has a profound interest in family history and jewels and she's often the one to turn up in new settings or long-forgotten gems. Such was the case last night when she wore the laurel wreath bandeau, which we last saw in 2017.
The Princess also wore her own diamond pendant earrings and bow brooch. Note that large stone hanging there!
