Does the color of the sash represent anything?
Does the color of the sash represent anything?
Quite a contrast to how the Brits celebrated the coming of age of their future monarchs as far as I can remember.
The King's investiture as Prince of Wales was a day time affair, and the same is expected for William's, which I hope will be soon!

The light blue moiré ribbon has been used far too long for anyone to actually know. I mean, they are not even sure why the badge of the highest Danish order has an elephant, let alone the story behind the colour of the ribbon.
At any rate this is one of the most beautiful and exquisite orders of chivalry around, IMO. It certainly has a place on Pricesope
That necklace is to die for!
I wish the Royal Family in the UK would set up some sort of jewellery foundation like they do in other notable royal houses in Europe, so that they can share their many significant pieces by their extended family.

Whatever happened to the chunky diamond bracelet Megan Markle wore on her right wrist on her wedding day?I thought it was stunning. . I never see her wear it. Was it a loan? I thought it was a wedding gift from then Prince Charles. And ,she does not wear her engagement ring anymore. Wonder why as she wears the Cartier watch And the Welsh gold wedding band.
not wanting to read too much into it but i reacon when she changed the band of her ER it became too dainty (although very sparkly) for a daily wear, i mean the duchess is not known for listening to advice
was that the cartier watch that was Princess Diana's ?, well every time she wears that she gets coloum inches
also i think England would be like NZ and you generally keep one's wedding band on, Prince Harry might just prefer that she wears it
i dont recall the bracelet, but Charles has a good eye for jewlery,
i would like to know when did she last wear Di's aquamarine ?
It's a beautiful bracelet indeed!
I have a few theories, but they are just speculation:
- she doesn't wear the bracelet because it comes from Charles
- it remained in the UK - a country she's hardly visited in the last 3 years
- she finds it too lavish to wear at her current type of events
- a combo of either three
As for the rings... I rather liked the simplicity of the original e-ring. It had the deeper meaning of family and heirloom diamonds. Not's just piece of flashy jewelry and too fragile to wear.
The aquamarine ring is stunning and one of my favourites from Diana's jewels. I last saw it worn at the Ripple of Hope Award Gala. I believe that was last December, so almost an year ago. There are some photos here.
