the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester paid a visit to Gloucester Cathedral on Tuesday to visit with members of its musical departments.
The Duke and Duchess are both big supporters of choral music and cathedrals, with the Duke patron of Cathedrals in Pilgrimage and the Duchess patron of Cathedral Music Trust.
At Gloucester Cathedral, both are patrons of the ongoing In Tune Organ and Music campaign.

According to the Royal Family’s website, the Duke’s Cathedrals in Pilgrimage patronage sees him visit cathedrals around the United Kingdom to learn more about their operations.

Queen Camilla is Colonel of the Grenadier Guards, and the Colonel's Fund supports Grenadiers who have suffered serious physical or mental injury while on operational service, and their families.
Queen Camilla hosted a reception for the Colonel's Fund at Clarence House, and met with fund members and beneficiaries. This became Queen Camilla's first engagement as patron of the Colonel’s Fund. The Colonel’s Fund was established in 2007 and provides help relating to mobility aid, home improvements, employment training and counselling.

a nice gold brooch would not have gone amiss

The Duchess of Edinburgh, as Patron of the London College of Fashion (LCF), visited their new home in East Bank.

they are nice
i mean its always nice to see pearls
but only earrings are a bit too minimal for me
that big shirt collar could have housed some sort of a looser pearl choker under there (thats how i used to wear mine) or even just a long necklace over the shirt
1708635992088.png

you know it could be said Di didnt always wear that much jewlery but the gold/brass buttons s made up for it, plus i do spy a bracelet here

i cant see a ring but i went to school with that boy
Lyndon Perryman, he went to work for the dept of conservation

the picture has a Tuatara, this is not a lizzard but the 5th type of reptile
Tuatara are the only surviving members of the order Sphenodontia. This order was well represented by many species during the age of the dinosaurs, some 200 million years ago. All species except the tuatara declined and eventually became extinct about 60 million years ago.
Because of this, tuatara are of huge international interest to biologists. They are recognised internationally and within New Zealand as species in need of active conservation management.
The tuatara is a single species Sphenodon punctatus.

the Swedish vaults must have hair clips or brooches, even hat pins that could be converted

Love that Cam and Sophie like dogs and make a fuss of them during visits. I saw footage of the Medical detection dogs visit, one of them was all over Cam, I think it was the friendly labrador

im getting desperate but i like the gold jewery and the colour of the dress i love and for once Harry's wife's hair is looking neatish and more tidy than usual
but that diamond pinky ring always looks too loose like its going to fall off and get lost on a cold day

with Borris gone to the rainbow bridge life is just crawling, every second is like an hour without her, our Princess
the newly accended reigning princess, young Fluffy, is a bit out of sorts, she must miss Borris, she has given me a few cuddles but is in the window sunbathing today
so i am aimlessly watching you tube

i read once that the late Queen was offered this tiara (by her mum?) and she said no, sell it, we have enough tiaras
i do get how it was a perfect tiara for Queen Mary while mourning George V, but for ordinary royal family use it doesnt look grand enough for a Queen
but i feel sorry for amethyst to be first, tainted as mouring jewlery and second, to now days just shoved into cheap and basic silver settings down the mall
i think Catherine would look lovely in amethyst but im not sure she is interested in jewlery enough to bring on a revival

this you tuber is known for making mistakes, i cant usually be bothered with her

this picture is a couple of years old but i like it lots- plus a great pinky ring shot

back then this was so excitting, we were too young to have seen Anne's wedding and this young lady was going to be Queen one day
my cousin compiled a scrap book of lady Di leading up to the wedding

The previous owner of the tiara and matching parure has said on Instagram that he bought the jewels for his wife from Princess Margaret. I assume that the amethysts were left to her directly by Queen Mary and she decided they were not to her taste.
I may be very wrong (I'm assuming without looking up the dates) that the sale of the amethysts may have funded the purchase of the might Poltimore.

Mixed up the dates a bit.
Seems like the orininal post on IG is private now and can't be viewed, but you can see a shot of the previous owner's wife wearing the parure and a brief summary of what they said here:

it is sad that something once owned by Queen Charlotte was let go, but that lady looks so wonderful in it on her wedding day,
that hiardresser was money well spent

much better than that Anna what's her name -although it was cool that she wore it the necklace but the fabric of her blouse kind of hid it
i like this next picture the best, do we know who the other lady is ?

i stand by my comment its just not grand enough for a senior member of the BRF except when worn in mourning and that just doesnt happen these days
