only the sentimental jewles being worn today but nice to see Queen Cam out and about as planed, with the King back home in Norfolk recovering from his treatment

there is some great art here including a really great painting of a two year old Princess Charlotte, Cam seemed to enjoy this visit very much i tried very hard not to lament the lack of brooch

Queen Camilla had a little surprise up her sleeve (literally) at the Celebration Of Shakespeare. HM wore the emerald bracelet from a set of 5 (ruby, sapphire, emerald and 2 x diamond) for the first time. The Cartier set originally belonged to QEQM (then still Duchess of York), who received them on special occasions over the years from George VI.

H's wife is wearing her ER again, seemingly after having the setting repaired, it looks too loose to me but maybe because its winter in Canada, but that would really annoy me if my rings sat like that

the Princess Royal unvailes a memorial stone to Antarctic explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton at Westminster Abbey on the 150th anniversary of his birth.
the brooch looks good on that colour coat

as an aside my ears always prick up at stories of Shackleton as when i was in primmer 4 at primary school (which is so long ago no one remembers the primmers, its probably year 2 nowdays ) the teacher read us the story of Shackleton and his ill fated trip to Antarctica on his ship, Endurance
, we then built a papermachet ship at the back of the classroom- i painted my cabin orange (it was 1978)

years ago i briefly lived with a boyfrind's family in Karori in Welligton and it has this huge really old rammbly cementry and there was the grave of Shackleton's cook and a memorial to his beloved Tabby cat Mrs Chippy

During the engagement, King Charles' sister met volunteers from Off the Streets North Northamptonshire (NN) and heard from those affected by knife crime during the visit at the market town's Hind Hotel.

I've just restarted reading the Duke's memoir. Such an interesting read focusing on Britain and the Royal family and their connections (as a family not an institution)! HRH is still in school (I'm still early in the memoir), but I'll make sure to let you know anything about the jewels, should they be mentioned later on.
