Princess Xenia Georgievna of Russia, a scion of the Rossian and Greek royal families. She married the son of the former Nancy Leeds, herself the wife of Prince Christopher of Greece and Denmark.
Her mother-in-law gave her a spectacular ruby and diamomd kokoshnik, which had belonged to the famous Grand Duchess Vladimir (Maria Pavlovna)

The Queen was hailed at a Buckingham Palace awards ceremony for helping to revive a national writing competition which celebrates young talent.

Camilla helped host the BBC 500 Words event and was credited by writer and comic Charlie Higson, a member of the judging panel alongside Sir Lenny Henry, as ensuring the project’s return after a three-year hiatus.

The young finalists had their entries read in the palace’s ballroom by a group of celebrity readers who included Hollywood star Tom Hiddleston, actor Luke Evans and talent show judge Oti Mabuse.

The Queen presented the gold awards and the winners will be announced during a special episode of the BBC’s The One Show on March 7, World Book Day.

Princess Anne hailed the inspirational campaigning efforts of Rob Burrow after the rugby league legend raised millions for charity.

The Princess Royal was today welcomed to the home of Leeds Rhinos, where Mr Burrow spent his entire 16-year career winning multiple trophies and personal accolades. Anne, patron of the MND Association, chatted with 80 guests who have been inspired to volunteer or fundraise for the charity (motor neuron disease) by Burrow and his former team-mate Kevin Sinfield.

oh - Pretty :kiss2:

i'm think tha tthat memorial to King Constantine would have been invite only and his family would have invited people who had had some kind of relationship to his him
so maybe no one thought that putting Andrew in the front row of the British side was a bad idea (i think he should have been sitting with his own family a few rows back)

there is this beyond stupid story in the daily mail (i have to get a better job so i can afford the telegraph) about it should have been younger people in the front row ?????????????? i kid you not, had that person never been to a family funeral
im not going to waste my time linking it, i hate opinion pieces at the best of times, but the state of modern journalism is appaling

oh and here is Fergie, i cropped out her ex

Queen Max

maybe the spair seat beside Princess Micheal was actually due to Prince William's absence and not poor Lady Gabriella and that one in the front row just took the Prince of Wales seat like how he pushed in to accompany the late Queen at Prince Philip's memorial to sit beside HM
Prince and Prince Michal are seated right beside the rest of the York family

I believe, but I may be wrong, that the Royal ladies are only supposed to wear Ballet Slipper pink nail varnish @Daisys and Diamonds because it’s so neutral. Perhaps the late Queen thought red nails were a bit racy

does sound about right
i do love the blue
i read today the Queen mum didnt like the red as Wallis wore it
i think the Queen mum naturally influenced her very dutiful daughter in many ways

The late QEII had many fashion related "rules" such as no bare legs, however, she was of a generation.

DK :))

Prince Phiilp's German relatives are there somewhere

Maybe worth noting that Prince Phillip's German relatives are related to the Greek Royals the same way as the main line of Windsor are. So they were there as descendants of Greek Princesses who married foreign royals, rather than relatives of the British King.

Pavlos' intaglio ring is beautiful. I believe it was previously worn by Constantine, who handed it over to to his eldest son. Probably when his own hands were too big to fit it. I have never been able to find a decent pic, sadly.
