I was wondering if anyone else has "seasonal cravings" or goes thru spurts of craving something in particular?

No, I am not prego!

For the last 3 weeks I have been craving fat free milk! I know ... sounds crazy! I am glad it hasn''t been chocolate ... if I ate as much chocolate as I have drank milk ... I don''t think I could fit thru the door!

If anyone wants to share ... I''ll be right here w/ my big tall ice cold glass of FF milk!

Summer: BERRIES! MELONS! Tomatoes! Shellfish! Late summer; FIGS by the boat load. Fall: Pumpkin things... perrsimons. Winter: Soups. Stews. Spring: Flowers...lol. Not edible... but I HAVE to have flowers everywhere in the house in Spring.

Seedless grapes!

Oreo chocolate bars.... you''d think I was going into instead of out of hibernation. lol

Spring...daffodils, tulips, lily of the valley, bluebells, chocolate, horsehair coming out in clumps!

Summer....strawberries, salads, roses, chocolate, the smell of a fresh cut hayfield.

Autumn...pumpkin pie, wood fires, chocolate, fallen leaves and frosts, damp earth.

Winter....Christmas trees, snow, hard frosts on spider webs and trees, a walk in a winter twilight across frosty fields with a sliver of moon and hundreds of stars,, liqueur chocolates, hot chocolate, hot chocolate pudding with chocolate sauce, I like chocolate!

Those are both my food cravings and soul cravings!

We eat obscene amounts of watermelon this time of year. And when it gets kinda hot, I don''t want to heat up my kitchen any more by cooking...so it''s usually a tomato salad with bread for me for dinner!!

I am always craving tons of fruit in summer, and love big composed salads as dinner with bread...love the summer tomotoes, with basil and mozzarella, and love the fresh sweet corn. We have some farm stands around and that is the best. I also love seafood, eating lobster at the beach and things like that...I LOVE SUMMER!

We are lucky to have a strawberry farm in our village where you can pick your own and eat them at the same time! June is the best month for them here, earlier or later they just lose their flavour but they are so yummy while they last.

cold sweet summer fruit for summer for me, and iced black tejava. i am currently obsesed with fuji apples and have pretty much at least one a day and sometimes two. and they have to be super fresh and crisp, not week old or anything like that. and very cold from the fridge. watermelon and other melons once it comes into season, lots of salads for summer as well, anything cold, crisp, fresh tasting. and it''s not even THAT hot here where we are...but something about cold, crisp food on your tongue, yum.

in the winter it''s more like comfort food...pot pies, warm soups, anything baked...of course super healthy, hah as if. oh and pumpkin pie from nov-jan!

Many of you may not share this one but this time of year it is fried green tomatoes that I crave.

What kind of seedless grapes do you like ... purple ones?

I love, love love green grapes, and green granny smith apples in summer time.

Did you know that watermelon is very high in potassium. Moreso, than a banana. Eat up!

I hear you about heating your kitchen up ... yucksville!

Lorelie ... In Oregon June is the best month to pick & eat them here too! I do love strawberries, but they make my sides hurt ... so I try my best to stay away.

Hi Mara ~

Hi Blenheim ~

I don''t do cantaloupe anymore ... I spent the night at a girlfriends house when I was a teenager, and her mom served for breakfast "cantaloup with gravy on it"
emotion-41.gif
... I took one bite and I was done ... to this day I have never been able to eat it since!

ummm...I have eaten like 8 fudgesicles today. :) so yeah, fudgesicles.

also...fried green tomatoes sounds interesting; how on earth do you make it?? ive never had it..

in the summer fruit is delicious , especially strawberries.

in the winter I like to eat tomato soup with rice (and all it is is tomato juice and rice on the stove for 1 hour and its so good..! this is like the only thing i cook..)
