Settings for Gene’s (Precision Gem) stones

Here’s a close-up in a ring box, trying to show Gene’s faceting, but the double refraction makes it difficult. The setting is from Kyo at jewelryhoo2 , my go to for CS settings.5746A342-434B-4176-A8FD-949E5AFA89AE.jpeg

How beautiful, @2Neezers ! I love how the curved band picks up the pretty oval of the stone! Enjoy!!!

I also have this 9.8mm Rhodolite from Gene I purchased quite a while ago that I have yet to add to this thread. It behaves the way Rhodolite garnets typically do, but it also has amazing chunky facet reflections that show in certain lighting.

This is a smaller though 1 ct+ mint kornerupine that I have used as part of a whimsical composition of colored stones. It's another possibility for Gene's smaller stones.

I forgot about this thread! Here are two more I set from Gene. Hope they’re allowed here - they’re both lab sapphires. Feel free to remove if not allowed. Both are custom made with Jewelryhoo2 on eBay. A blue lab sapphire and a padparascha lab sapphire!

These are both gorgeous!!! Thanks for posting them here. Love the stones and the beautiful settings. As always both stones are amazingly cut by Gene

I'll play! I picked up this Montana sapphire from Gene that was the perfect size for my existing setting.

I love this stone! Not only is it beautifully cut but it looks different at every angle and in every light!

Here is my pink spinel by Gene set in preloved BGD Summer setting! The pink is beautiful, bright at times, rose at other times. Thanks for letting me share. 20210411_111411.jpg

I went custom with this yellow heliodor from Gene. Was waffling a lot until I settled on this beryl-beryl-beryl color scheme. Impeccably executed by Enhoerning Jewelry.

Adding to this thread, 4 rings with stones set by Gene.

The first set includes the lab pink sapphire, lab electric blue cobalt spinel, and a paraiba YAG, all set in the same rose gold settings by Amcor Design. I highly recommend Amcor, the settings were very affordable and substantial for the price.

second pic is lab pad sapphire in a yellow gold setting by LoveRingDesigns with moissanite side stones. To be set this weekend! CB1E991A-B824-4C43-A075-42453F4D2256.jpegC3B58920-382E-41B9-A3F9-0E79D51CF6FE.jpeg830169BA-18E2-4FDE-AF96-0A0EF3B98CB1.jpeg456F23F2-0E8D-4E1D-9FA8-C0049E5648C7.jpeg

Here's my Tajik spinel, set in a Stuller setting with 3 diamonds on each side by my local jeweler. I went with rose gold and it came out great with the vivid pink stone. The flowers are water lotus, pink coneflower, and hydrangea "limelight".

Thanks for the setting ideas, @elle_71125 ! This is the largest gemstone I own and I feel lucky to have acquired it.

I'm including a photo in UV light taken through my loupe to show the strong fluorescence of the spinel. It's an interesting effect! The stone changes a lot in different light, which is something I enjoy. The hand shot, with a little more sun, is closer to the color I usually see.

Love this. Do you have the Stuller number?

I don’t. I just told my local jeweler what I wanted and she looked through their catalog with me. I had to special order the setting but it only took a few days.

This is my lab created sapphire I purchased from Gene and had set by David Klass A6BEDAA3-F20D-447A-8F79-0E5121B6224D.jpeg

That’s a beautiful blue sapphire ring and the setting is perfection.:kiss2:
