So WIERD! The guy at Neimans (when I tried on the black ones) brought out a 36.5 as well as the 37, and told me that I maybe would need the smaller size.

You know I''m right next to Palo Alto I just haven''t had the time to go try on anything. And for some reason I kept thinking I had to go to SF to try them on.... I should just go by there and see how they fit! I''ll be getting a pair pretty quickly though so I guess I''ll find out soon enough.

I''m always going to Neimans to try their shoes on. They are the closet store with Christian Louboutin, and I''m glad I tried those on, cause I wear a 38 in his shoes.

I guess you will find out soon enough whether you ordered the right size. Neimans in Palo Alto does have the black ones just sitting there to temp you...

Now that I think about it, the 36.5 wasn''t bad on my right foot, but I have a "bigger" left foot that I have to accomodate for, that really needed the 37.

Oh, and thanks to everyone that complimented my dress choices. I''m sure there will be more threads and dress pics as a continue my search...

I now have the perfect shoes. I want my dress to be so awesome that everyone is just WOWED. Actually my first dream would be to be drapped in such large diamonds that people are BLINDED by the bling when they look at me...I''m still working on that one :)

So I called the store in Palo Alto and they don''t have my sizes for the black sedaraby or any other color. They recommended trying the ''Sudy'' but it''s a slightly different shoe that looks similar. In a normal shoe I can ocassionaly fit into a 7.5 depending on the shoe but I mainly buy an 8 so it''s not too tight. I have a wider foot though. The salesperson did tell them that the reason people size down is due to the lack of support since the shoe is only supported by the toe and heel area.

Now i''m worried I didn''t get the right size! This process is stressful!

Sorry about that! Its a Manolo craze...my friend just ordered a pair from Bergdorf Goodman's in NY today too. She said that her sales guy, Eddy, just told her they got in a new shipment. So if yours don't fit and you need a different size, that's another place to try. Plus no sales tax.

PS. That's wierd that Palo Alto didn't have the black Sedaraby in 37.5 (thats your size, right?) cause that was the size on the display model when I was there yesterday afternoon. I guess they sell fast!

Those shoes are so beautiful it won''t matter what your dress looks like!!

. I''m waaaayyy beyond being able to stand up, let alone walk in shoes like that, but when I could....they''d have been mine in a heartbeat!!!

Does it get better than a wedding in Maui, wearing Manolos and marrying the best guy ever??
36.gif

Nope, it doesn''t get any better than that.

Oh, and Scarlet, thanks for the grass info. I will steer clear of all grass. Or maybe I will be a two-pair-of-shoes bride...
And Bee*, thanks again for inspiring me!

Thanks for the tip, I wonder if I should just order another pair just in case...

I believe I''m a 38 or 38.5... 7 1/2 or 8.

sounds like a good idea to order two. esp if you order from nordstroms they are really good about returns. but i would think any store that sells manolos would be good about returns. if not, it looks like you would have no trouble recouping your cost cause they seem to be in demand.

Barney''s and Saks are easy to return to because they have stores in my area. Berdorf might be a problem because it''s only in NY which would mean mailing them back possibly. I''ve already ordered two different pair, I guess if Barneys has that other size then I might as well order it. Hooray for credit cards. I sure hope they have them.

These shoes are more angst then picking the dress was!

They do run big...I''m normally a 38 or 38.5 and I bought a 37.5.

In addition if you love the shoes all the more reason to get married in them, plus you can actually wear them again. I''ve had a pair of silver jimmy choo''s for years and so I decided to wear them on my wedding day, and my best friend ending up getting the same shoes and wore them for her wedding too.

Go for it!

YAY! I''m going to Bergdorf on Saturday to pick some up then!!! Hopefully they have the red ones!

Yea! Manolo''s for everyone!

Scarlett, I think the red pair is quite stunning. Good luck on Saturday!

Now, everyone has me freaked out saying they run big. But when I tried on the black pair at NM they fit fine in my normal size. I guess I can always send them back and start my search again, if they are the wrong size. I should''ve had them overnighted. Oh, well, one more day to wait! Oh, I wish it was Friday already...

Go for it!

I read somewhere that the satin sedaraby also size differently than the leather. I''m getting a pair in each to try. I''m curious to see if there is a difference. Bee, did you get the same size satin and leather or were they the same?

Oh, and just another thing I forgot to mention. Bergdorf''s said that Manolo makes a "mid-heel" in the Sedaraby, exclusively for them.
I personally like super high heels, but just a bit of info for anyone focused more on comfort. I''m not sure how high "mid" is.

Hrmm. I read that the 4inch was a special size that was around when they first came out, then the 3 1/2 inch heel is standard. I wonder if a mid-hell is 2 1/2? Were the shoes you tried on 3 1/2?

Also Barneys (in NY) charged me not only shipping but CA state tax. Ouch.

I tried on the 3 1/2 inches. That is perfect for me.

I think Barney's has to charge tax b/c they have stores in CA too.

I have the 3 1/2 inch heel and it''s perfect height.

That''s rubbish that you got charged sales tax-ouch

That''s about the height I wanted.

Bee were your shoes TTS for both the satin and the silver?

I found them TTS.

Okay just to cover myself I also got the 8''s from Barney''s in Beverly Hills. If neither of those sizes fit then ARGH! I''m sure one of them has to though. My FI was looking at the credit card bill today and was super grumpy about it haha. He said he didn''t even want to talk about it, he just wanted to forget he saw the whole thing.

The 7 1/2s in silver just came in. They do fit BUT unless the 8s are huge or something I think they may wind up fitting my foot better making these shoes TTS for me. The 7 1/2s make my toes at the end overhang a teeny bit.

Yea!!!! My Manolos are here. The 37''s fit perfect. LOVE
30.gif
If I my camera had batteries, I would post a pic of them on my feet. LOL

Violet,
Sounds like yours fit ok?

Ha...stole the remote batteries. Foot shots...

I found a dress that might actually show my shoes! This would be PERFECT.

Those look fabulous on you!! Yay!

I''m probably going to go for the TTS pair thats on its way here right now. I think the pair I currently have is pushing it on fit. We''ll see if the TTS pair slide off or not though. I''ll have to do a few laps in them.

Ya know what?

That picture is why people have foot fetishes.....

Heh heh......

Seriously, though...those are so elegant! What a beautiful choice, LOVE them.....

I BOUGHT THE RED ONES!!!! I went to Bergdorf''s first and there were about 3 other girls trying on the same shoe. I know someone mentioned Bergdorf''s just got in a shipment but they don''t have many left in the silver (ps-there''s a silver slingback as well). I tried them on in the 37 (which seemed slightly big) but I put them on hold since I wanted to see the red ones and went to Barney''s. They only had like 2 pairs of the red ones left in the 36 1/2 which seem perfect...just tight enough. I think they only have a few pairs of silver ones if anyone is looking for them still.

I normally wear a US 6 1/2 if that helps anyone, but the guy at Barney''s was shocked that I had to go smaller.

Love the pics of the silver Manolos! I just had to take mine out again to try them on-I just adore them!!

Scarlet-aren''t the red ones to die for!! Congrats on getting a pair! I really want them in black now too!
