Hey everyone!

Well the nightmare packing and moving is over and I am FINALLY reunited with my husband (who I havent seen since our wedding on October 15th) and I FINALLY met my sweet new puppy Molly! (see avatar)

I posted a while back in April when my then FI took a job here in NoVa and I stayed in Ohio until after our wedding. I was sooo upset about it and didnt know what to do. I''m so happy to be with them but very homesick and am still unemployed, but looking very hard for a new job. Its very beautiful here and I hope to take advantage of all this area has to offer. But Im still sad and in that adjustment stage big time.

I''ll keep my eyes peeled for the next DC Pricescope gathering! It would be fun to put faces to the names (and bling!)

Hope you all had a nice turkey day!

That''s so exciting to be living with your H-U-S-B-A-N-D finally!!!!

Congratulations on Molly - she''s a doll (or at least her nose is)

Welcome to the area! I guess you are the reason we are having the unseasonable warm weather? Mother Nature is putting on a good show for you.

Welcome back! I''m so jealous...I love the DC area!! My dad lives in VA but the Willamsburg area......I love VA, after all it is for Lovers!!!

Hellooooooooooooooooooooo.

hey everyone! I was wondering about why its still so warm here! After all I was just scraping snow off my car in Ohio a few days ago!!! we currently live in Springfield, VA but depending on where I find a job at we may relocate. I am also liking how the trees still have colorful leaves on them! In Ohio, the height of the fall colors was probably my wedding weekend and week after that. Its like having fall all over again!

Very strange warm spell right now, not that im complaining though! Makes walking puppies a lot easier.

Last week it was in the 30s and we got our first snow last Wednesday.

Welcome to the area.

GemKlctr at our last gathering (not meaning to implicate him) did talk about maybe getting something together for NoVA; I think he''s been off for a few weeks, but may be either lurking or available to be called upon.

Warmest regards,

Congrats on the succesful move!

I have family down in Springfield and Falls Church, VA. We were just down for Thanksgiving weekend

Welcome to the neighborhood! You''ll find that DC/MD/VA is a great place to live. And like NJC this strangely warm weather at the end of November doesn''t hurt!

Welcome P-Pie.
I think this calls for another get together; soon!

Welcome to the DC area.

It''s rainy and tropical...

I''ve been living here for 18 years. It''s a great place to live.

Oh! I am so happy for you! You must be just THRILLED to finally be with your new hubby! And that puppy just couldn''t be any cuter!

Welcome to the DC area!

There are a lot of fun things to do around here. There''s really something for everybody. Oh, and try not to mind the traffic too much -- you''ll get used to it in time.

I''ve been here for 2.5 years and I am not used to the traffic, and NEVER will be!!

Welcome to the area and so glad you are now with hubby and adorable puppy!!!!

I too would be interested in a get-together.

Welcome to the DC area, PunchnPie. You will find the weather to be strange here. Just wait until it "snows" (I mean like a dusting) or even rains when it''s cold out. They close the schools and shut down the government! It''s HI-larious. They just don''t know what to do with the winter precipitation here. You will find it funny esp coming from Ohio. Also - just a heads up - avoid 495 at all costs, it can be bumper-to-bumper at the strangest hours.

Jobs here are plentiful, that is one of the best things about this area IMO. If you are looking for a job in policy/women''s issues, PM me and I can try to help.

WELCOME, Punch! I think it is definitely time for another DC/MD/NVA get-together. The next gem and jewelry show is Dec. 16, 17, 18 at the Chantilly Expo Center. I have plans to go on Friday, 12/16, with my usual jewelry-crazed friends. Anyone else interested?

congrats on finally being with your new hubby, PnP! your puppy avatar is absolutely adorable

Welcome to the area! We will definitely have to plan another get together soon - with or without a show! It''s so much fun getting to put names with faces

I''m always up for a get together even though I don''t have anything new to show off!

Oh, LMurden, that ''old'' engagement ring will knock everybody''s socks off anyway - it''s a real beauty!

Hello, Sarah.....hope you enjoy your new home & have a wonderful holiday season with your family! I''ve lived many places (my husband was in the Coast Guard), but my all time favorite place was when I lived in Fredericksburg, VA while I was in High School!!

Just wanted to add my welcome! I''m in Lexington VA for the next 1 1/2 years and hopefully will be in the DC metro area after that...and I love your cute little puppy!

I''m sorry to hear you won''t be able to make it, OFG. Actually, I have a flu bug at the moment, and my goal is to be better by next Friday. I CAN''T miss a jewelry show. Even if I don''t actually buyanything, just going and looking at all the lovely pieces gives me the fix I need to tide me over until the next show.
