Ironically I have now had 2 engagement rings of 1.25 tcw. The first was a traditional solitaire that probably cost 2 - 3x more than this one when it was bought from a brick and mortar. And this one has so much more "fire power" than that one. I love it!!

Here is mine under $1K. It's not actually an engagement ring but it could be. It's a .56 AGS0 M SI1 in a Stuller illusion box. I know many people don't care for color in their modern round brilliant stones. I got this as a pendant, planning to upgrade to a higher color when I could afford it, as my e ring is an H. I ended up constantly taking the pendant off to look at it in different lighting scenarios because it always looks different and that intrigued me. In the sunlight it looks just as blindingly blue-white as my H (guessing that's thanks to the strong blue fluorescence). Sometimes it looks almost golden like the yellow band it's currently set in. In the car it looks downright dingy (but so does the H so I'm thinking it's reflecting the gray overhead), and in my bathroom it looks like super sparkly vanilla ice cream (which is my favorite appearance). I was so enamored I eventually decided I was keeping the stone and putting it where I could always see it. I paid $746 for the diamond at brilliance.com and $250 for the setting through a local jeweler, so here is my cheap little beauty.

Thank you, I love it too. I actually bought this ring when it was on clearance and wanted to buy a second to wear on either side of my original ering, but it sold out before I was able to. I'm sorry I don't know where you could find another one, but I'm sure you could find something similar. Just in case it might help you I posted a link to the band from overstock, you can register with them and they'll email you if they get anymore in stock. I also attached a link of a similar band. I did mean you! I cant decide on my next project. But its either an M colored solitaire or a E/W bezel marquise. Either way, im too frugal* to spend over 3 k on it.
