Thanks! Yes, it was a nice lucky find, the photos on the listing sucked. I really love seeing it on my moms hand whenever we get together. It is very white and sparkly even though she never cleans it It is 5.9mm and looks really big on her hand. Funny how things always look bigger on other people hands... it figures

Thanks for all the compliments on my mom's OEC! Every time I post photos, people always rave, which is nice. My mom wears the ring exactly as that picture shows.

$2000 -Ebay in a white gold setting with two well matched oec sides 0.3 ctw- still debating about selling setting with or without sides.

$1300 (gold prices were super high at the time and was only a few hundred more to get platinum)

Appraisal for insurance came out to over $8,500. I know those tend to be high, but happy it was more than double.

Wedding band- Ebay- $250
Platinum with 10 small older cut diamonds and etching

His titanium band- $25 from http://www.jvljewelry.com/ with "giftcard" - basically just pay (high) shipping. But he loves it and loves that it was so cheap. And he doesn't feel bad about banging it up or getting different sizes as his fingersize shifts.

Wish I could have done a better cleaning job for all the Honeymoon pics.

I helped my best friend's husband get a baby gift/belated engagement ring for her. He wanted the baby's birthstone incorporated (emerald) and had a budget of $350. My friend loves antiques and unique pieces. I'm thrilled with what we found!

Ring description from vendor:
This size 6 1/2 18K white gold and synthetic emerald and diamond ring is a lovely representation of the Art Deco style. It features an east/west face with two square synthetic emeralds bezel set (.153 mm), and a center square with a .06 ct Old European Cut VS round diamond. This ring weighs 1.8 dwt. There is nice detail work on all sizes of the gallery, extending down part of the shank on each side.
