My lilac/periwinkle sapphire ring is here!

Center purchased off instagram from @Desertrose and the ring setting made by DanM.

The side diamonds were taken from a diamond platinum ring I was taking apart and I think they fit perfectly with this sapphire in that it's not a perfect square, but elongated slightly. I'm fact, all three stones have a very slight added length to them.

The sapphire has a hint of lilac but mainly appears periwinkle and reminds me of ice. The yellow gold brings out a little more saturation to the sapphire and pairs well with the high colored white diamonds.

The finished ring is such a classicly simple and sophisticated ring yet paired with such an off-brand color of sapphire creates this visual interest. The resulting piece is such understated sweetness.
Its such a perfect travel ring for me or a RHR, perfect for days when I just need a lil' somethin somethin.

Thank you. The ring turned out really cool. The desinger suggested a textured metal as she said pinky rings take a fair number of blows being on the outside of the hand, and when being rested upon when holding a pen in particular. Ad I wear this on my dominant hand. So we went with a quite heavy texturing.

4 of 5 lavender spinel here on the pic witch came out from a single rough piece. Im actually thinking about to do a recutting project with those to create a lovely matching set (earrings/pendant/ring gems) or something...Im still in the inspiring playing with ideas mood

Stumbled over that lavender in the showcase of a small antique jewellery store by accident while walking through my town. No idea about treatment but it says its with certificate. No price there, thats usually not a good sign

OK this was just a quick snap and not a proper photo shoot or anything but this thread needs to go on. Post your lavender periwinkles away! I took some quick pics since some of these are going to be mailed out soon to be set.

These are all spinels. I don't know how people take photos of multiple stones together, it's the first time I tried and originally I tried with a lot more stones but I found the more stones of this color family there is in the pic the more similar the colors came out? Like all same samey. They still look too similar in here! One day I'll stop being lazy and take proper pictures. Anyways there are some that are squarely out of the periwinkle lavender spectrum, I'd say it goes from purple - violet/light violet/periwinkle - lavender - lilac from left to right.

I missed your other post until just now. It really is a beautiful stone, and the setting is gorgeous. I remember that photos can’t capture the sparkle.

I added a third puppy to my craziness, so I’ve been in puppy mom mode and not on here as much.
