#JOTW Show me your Tiffany!

I tried on a few lovely pieces at Tiffany the other day- They had a few items I hadn't seen in person before- a thin Lock bracelet, Soleste diamond band and the Schlumberger 36 stone bracelet.
The SA saw me wearing the 16 stone ring, and said I must try on the bracelet :)
Always fun browsing at a Tiffany store!

Gorgeous pieces! Thanks for the show! :appl:

I’ve had many silver T&Co over the years but I ended up selling it all. My 0.15ct rose gold DBTY bracelet is the only piece that has lasted the distance! It was a complete steal at 66% off retail from a private seller on eBay. Authenticated by T&Co when I took it in to get shortened. I wear it 24/7 with my Cartier bracelets.

The Etoile ring is a showstopper!!! It is larger in width than I'm used to. I've read people find the 16 stone uncomfortable - I don't!
The Etoile is smooth between the fingers - I could/would easily wear it!
I think it was a good marketing move to create the thin lock, as Cartier has the thin love.
The reason I stopped into Tiffany was to try on the Bone cuff bracelet- which has been on my wish list for a long time. Sadly, no matter what wrist size I tried (from small- large) I couldn't find a comfortable fit. I also wanted to see the snake collection- but they didn't have any in the store.

Thanks for the info. I must get myself to Tiffany & try on the Lock. Such a shame that you didn’t get on with the bone cuff. Do you think you are between sizes, or didn’t it work on the shape of your wrist?

Love this stack. And I dearly love my Tiffany DBTY, but the newer bezel is super thin & the culet is fully exposed, so it just scratches EVERYTHING it comes into contact with. Prior to getting my newer bracelets, I wore it 24/7 also. Such a shame they changed the bezel, as it’s a deal breaker for stacking.

Have they changed the bezel on the rose gold DBTY? I know many preferred the thicker bezel (compared to that on the YG & plat versions) as it eliminated the poking. I had no idea they had changed it!

I’m not sure- it must be my wrisr! I was very disappointed though because I love the look of the bracelet.

I just added the olive ring to my right hand stack. The other is the Peretti three diamond band in honor of my three girls. Love them both!IMG_1371.jpegIMG_1370.jpeg

Very pretty pairing!

I’m not sure, but I was told (not by a Tiffany rep but by a friend) that they changed all the old chunkier bezels to the thinner more refined one, to enhance the floating diamond look by reducing metal. I have 2 platinum ones (diamond & pink sapphire) from many, many moons ago, which both have the deeper bezel, so no poking or scratching. Shame really, as the most beautiful of them all (to me) is my luxe YG one, but I rarely wear it. I can wear it with just my bangle (despite the internal scratches over that beautiful hallmark where it rolls underneath making me gag) but no way with my pearls or diamond tennis bracelet. And as you may have gathered, I’m a huge bracelet stacker, so yeah. Not cool.

Ditto. I could never find a comfortable fit with the bone cuff either--no matter how much I wanted it and tried to make it comfy , it wasn't! So I'll admire it on others.

You have fabulous wrists for bracelets, Sharon. Such a shame you couldn’t get the fit right, but we are all made differently & I know you have other Tiff bracelets (Frank Gehry for one) that you absolutely ROCK :kiss2:

Such a shame! It was nice for people to have options. I reset the diamond from my original engagement ring into a DBTY style pendant & opted for the thicker bezel to avoid the poke.

I tried on both the left and right cuff- No good on either side for me!!!
And I will admire it on others also!

You are so sweet! Luckily the Gehry bracelet is an easy fit.

I’ve just spent a few days in Japan and made the most of their second-hand shopping!

Some of you may recall that I tried to make my own scattered DBTY bracelet (link) but whilst I liked the look, the execution was poor and I couldn’t stand the pokey exposed culets against my skin, so that bracelet lies languishing.

When I was in Japan, I saw this “continuous” DBTY by Tiffany, in platinum at a resale store (Komehyo - they’re a nationwide resale chain). I’m a recent convert to platinum - especially as I’m a lazy person and hear that platinum is less “work” than WG.

Each diamond station is estimated to be 0.1ct for a total of 2.30cts. And, with the 0.1ct station size, there are no annoying exposed culets to poke against my skin! Okay, it does poke a little, but it’s not annoying and I don’t notice it unless I’m trying to :P2

The other thing that I thought I’d be bothered by is the flipping, but when the bracelet flips and I only see the pavilion, it has a subtler kind of sparkle like rose cuts. The continuous flow of “rose cuts” is rather beautiful. The second photo is the bracelet flipped with a rose cut ring that I just bought (at Komehyo as well).

Excuse the crappy airport-at-night lighting, I’m sure I’ll be snapping more photos in nicer conditions in future ;)

A perfect combo! So classic :kiss2:

And you clearly are not concerned about all of those cutlets scratching up other bracelets, so I’m beginning to think I am completely WEIRD for feeling that that about my one teeny tiny culet!

Haha, to be honest my JUC is sooo scratched up already! However I don’t like stacking, and only wore them like this because I was too excited to keep the Tiffany in its box at the airport but had nowhere to put my JUC :mrgreen2:

Hehe thanks! I felt it was a steal to be honest, and wasn’t sure if it was a mispricing by the store because this bracelet was selling for only ~25% more than a similar DBTY with 7 stations (vs this at 23 stations). **EDIT: the 7 station bracelet has larger diamonds though, I think they’re 0.18ct each.

Generally these stores are accurate with their pricing but I guess sometimes we get lucky!

I had such a blast shopping in Japan, and am lucky that this was my second trip so I’d already done a lot of the sightseeing (and could therefore spend more time in stores haha). When I have time, I’ll condense my Japan pearl, jewellery and watches shopping tips into a thread :)

Beautiful. Can't wait for more pics of your styling

I think this bracelet was advertised at one point on Tiffany’s website as an Elsa Peretti piece. However, when I tried to click on the link, it wouldn’t populate. I assumed it was discontinued. I think I was able to catch it one time and want to say it was like 19k or something. It is so pretty and a beautiful alternative to a full diamond bracelet. So happy for you that you were able to snag it - don’t know why they would have discontinued such a pretty piece!

Thank you! I tried to find it on the Tiffany website too but could only find the continuous DBTY in YG or RG. I’ve seen the same bracelet come up for auction a couple of times too (but never pulled the trigger).

Hehe thanks! The hunt is a huge part of the fun for me :mrgreen2:

I wore the bracelet today with my pave WG Hermes watch and I must say, I am really liking the two of them together…

One thing I’d love your thoughts on is whether I should remove a few stations to resize the bracelet to my wrist size? It’s too big at the moment, falls halfway down my arm and climbs over my watch. I don’t mind having a scratches JUC, but I do mind having a scratched watch face :eek2:

Would I be destroying the design / significantly reducing the value if I remove 4-5x stations (out of 23) to fit my wrist better?

No, I would size it to fit. Bracelets that are too long are uncomfortable and more prone to snagging on something and breaking. I have a small wrist and always have to have things shortened. Just keep the removed links of course in case you ever want to rehome it - doubtful! Love it!

Love love love your new bracelet!!!

I don't think you'd be harming the bracelet at all if you have Tiffany's remove the extra links for you. Also, you'll have the benefit of getting a Tiffany's receipt for the work, which is proof the piece is genuine if you ever decide to resell it.

Please do start a thread of your resale buying tips for Japan! So many of us would really love to hear them. I may be headed to Japan in 2025, and going through the shops is tops on my must-do list!

Very true, I hadn’t even thought about the snagging/breaking thing! Thanks!

Thank you, great points about getting the bracelet resized to fit at Tiffany’s.

Exciting that you’re heading to Japan in 2025 @RunningwithScissors. If you’re going in Apr-Oct, it might be worth stopping by Osaka as they are hosting the World Expo :)

@Pomelo, I found a picture of the bracelet on Tiffany & Co website. It is posted above - after I pasted it, there was no room for text - ha! Still does not show the picture with the description on their website, but you can add it to your shopping bag! It is $20,500 in platinum - a little over 2 ct. diamond weight!
Found one on eBay too if anyone is interested at what would be a good discounted price or make offer! https://www.ebay.com/itm/204780106145?_skw=elsa+peretti+diamonds+by+the+yard+bracelet+in+platinum&itmmeta=01J8DFTSVT9V18RC42MYXXKQAY&hash=item2fadd871a1:g:KjIAAOSwBRlmOZSs&itmprp=enc:AQAJAAABEHoV3kP08IDx+KZ9MfhVJKlNGpuIs8tg/VmMSdYWd2xazlJaIxM6SahmXzwnYwClsfZn0HDiFqNpbrDTAxgpEQfGhum6kgN1JRcISMRIY9bXy84rNGWIR9Y2OjmwWLblTVFg/rwUGGlwJV/8cvKvWaPUw2EDPjRNyOE3/LdmfzRZt54cJfeoGo++E0h4WSueOCuiX9O5TGHKv+cx0keiyoUETepu3QHei9WJ+pQp5yheAR95AcYSv5v07SYq9fRj2pFD50LAgezVD2c1Gy73g1rk84MCAQ7q3qBQZP7HmKN2a8zbkNRoYvNK0cx+cHpvWlgfBD38EfDHxX5pFexW9YnSt2mYm1tl7T0R6ct/oDo6|tkp:Bk9SR4Se66_DZA
